I was thinking of doing something similar gold or redside this year. Leaning towards gold side since a good team can clean up, maybe w/ some pre-purchased enhancements to help ease the growing pains...

That sounds like a lot of fun, Chowder! And if you go Gold there's the added bonus of being able to make almost any AT you want.
One of my favorite DXP experiences was, back in the day, joining a superteam designed to go from 1 to 50 together. In this case we were all Fire/ Controllers, 6 /Rads, a /Sonic and a /FF. Used Group Fly and Team Teleport to move around and just slaughter everything. The Eden trial was especially awesome. Sticking with a crew over the weekend and raking in the XP the old school way... Good times. 
I talked to a few friends about this and one idea we have is we're all going to make new toons with builds we're interested in, and at least one will grab a strong lvl 50 with some good arcs/mishs on it and invite the others on the new toons and run those lvl 50+ mishs for a few hours, then rotate the leader out so they jump on their new toon and one other will grab their lvl 50 and repeat until all the new toons are lvl 35, then ITF like crazy.

I WAS going to run all the villain TFs repeatedly to show redside some love.
Then I looked at the dates for DXP and realized I'm going to be away on vacation instead. I will now not do any of these things.

I was planning on running TF's and Trials and (Croatoa mission arcs) galore. (With R-Tech and Ska-Core and Fire Foxx and friends) Then I came into work and found that I had requested those days off months ago. For a vacation of some sort. Oh the agony.
Maybe I can cancel the vacation.....

My SG is going to queue up Scirocco's third and fourth arc, culminating in repeated runs of the final mission to defeat Lord Recluse, because he drops a ridiculous amount of XP.

You better not give up MY spot. Especially not when I figured out that the aforementioned time off was for a family reunion camping trip. A camping trip that has since been canceled, and I just "forgot" to withdraw my requested time off.
Maybe I can extend it a day, and get Thursday as well.....

An issue has cropped up that prevents us from activating Double XP on the live servers this week between July 28 and July 31. The good news is that weve identified the problem that has caused this delay, and will be putting a build up on the Training Room soon that should resolve the issue. We will also be hosting an event later this week in order to ensure the stability of the new build. We understand this is will be a great disappointment for some of you and appreciate your understanding in this matter. We wouldn't be resorting to cancelling this popular event at such short notice if we could at all avoid it, you can be sure of that. Instead, we will be hosting Double XP on all live servers between August 11 at 9:00 a.m. PDT (12:00 p.m. EDT / 5:00 p.m. BST / 18:00 CEST) until August 14 at 11:59 p.m. PDT (2:59 a.m. EDT / 7:59 a.m. BST / 8:59 CEST)! |
