Some nice fixes and updates. But there was one I didn't see for the TUT...
Dunno 'bout anyone else, but I've never ever been able to get the "join in progress" option to work. I've done it a couple times with DFBs (and one UGT) where I know for certain that one is in progress and NOT locked... but was unable to join.
Has this been looked into? or am I missing some "trick" to it? -
Quote:This.
"Team 1 and 2 south, team 3 north' is all it takes, for the most part.
I am not a leader, but I know what helps me be a good follower/teammate.
One of the things that drives me nuts is vague instructions.
Short and specific instructions please.
Instructions that are short but NOT helpful:
- Follow the tank (which friggin' tank?!)
- Get the computers/glowies (who? where?)
- Use your temp powers (how/when did I get a temp? use on what?)
Yes, those are short instructions, but they lack specifics... usually simple things that would make them more clear.
Of course there is also the opposite spectrum. I find that the longwinded explanations at the beginning of a trial are just as confusing and unhelpful. There is no way in hell I'm going to remember all that crap once all the action starts.
Keep these descriptions short and to the point, please. A brief (1 or 2 sentence) description of each phase's objectives should suffice.
When you move on from one phase to another, REPEAT the objectives for the next phase at that time. Please.
Macro or Menu your instructions, so you can repeat things that invariably need repeating.
Please use Request. The purple lettering stands out.
Personally, I have Request in it's very own window, just for that purpose.
Like I said, I'm generally a follower/teammate. I want to help. I want to feel useful. I want to know what the objective is so that I can do my part in accomplishing it.

Looks like a good start.
I look forward to seeing the development. Have always enjoyed that aspect of watching artists work.

A source revealed yesterday that Rangle does indeed carry influence outside of the game;
"I actually got into trouble at work because of him.
There was a person delivering a load at our receiving dock whose last name happened to be 'Rangle'. Of course, I instantly exclaimed 'Oh no! it's a Rangle Plot!'"
There was no mention as to how long they were detained by security.

I disagree.
The problem IS the game.
While folks may be willing to play it as a continuous "neverending" game, it does not lend itself to "winning".
There really is no reasonable way to set this game up to choose "winners".
And if you're going to change the rules, then it becomes a new game.
This game has had 3 weeks for folks to get on board. It has failed every week.
And the time frame? really? Folks seem to post in the Multimedia Genius and Screen Caption games within the time frame just fine.

It's fairly common to give a child subject matter for drawing projects...
Family/home
Landscapes
Christmas
Summer
Fun things
etc.
This particular project (Monster Project) was something started to help children address their fears by drawing the things that scare them. I have a friend whose 2 1/2 year old has begun to have nightmares, so it makes sense.
So, the subject matter is what it is.
The artist has simply taken the children's sketches and applied advanced art techniques to them. I think it actually helps adults have a better idea of what may be going through a child's mind.

FINALLY!!!!
Someone even more cinematically challenged than myself!!
On account of a rather strict upbringing, I was not allowed to watch movies or much TV (we didn't have one). The occasional bit of TV I did catch was usually at friends houses or at Gra'ma's house (and that was very carefully monitored).
By the time I was 10, I began to rebel, and watched as much on HBO as I could on summer vacations (spent with Dad... in another state).
I was 12-ish before I saw my first movie in the theatres.... Cujo, of all things. My second movie was Raiders of the Lost Ark.
In any case, despite my newfound addiction to TV, and eventually getting a BFA in theatre (which included classes on movie history); I never really got into the habit of going to the movie theatres. So there are still many gaps to fill.
But Freitag, you've got me beat. lol
Here are a few, dredged from memories of rebelliously sitting in front of the TV, watching HBO... (forgive me if they've been mentioned already)
The Dark Crystal
NeverEnding Story
Muppet Movie
Risky Business
Legend
Victor Victoria
Conan (Arnold's original)
Krull
Red Sonja
Secret of NIMH
Just a few, not all necessarily awesome, but I've seen lots others already listed... lots of good stuff to choose from.
Good luck on this endeavor.

Quote:It's been fairly well known that the Launcher is a memory hog (some say leak). If you are leaving it up while playing, I wouldn't be surprised if it is a contributing factor to your frequent crashes. Thanks that's kind of useful... but I find the game generally so crashy that to relaunch then involves relaunching the launcher, then launching the game. It just seems this is an extra bit of badly coded junk we gotta use to play the game.
You don't need to have it running while you PLAY the game... the game doesn't need it to run, just to launch. Try the "close after launch" setting... it might actually cut down on your crashes.

I believe the arcane version of the beacon will bounce you back to AP.
The tech version, however, supposedly takes you to Echo Galaxy.
The only other way to Echo Galaxy is through Oro, which is gated to lvl 14+ characters.
So, the question becomes, do you want your super low lowbies to have access to Echo Galaxy?
If yes, then you may want to keep a tech version of the beacon at your base.

Keeping in mind that a Consolidated List does not necessarily mean "Do all these things!", but rather "Hey, here's a bunch of ideas to pick from"....
The things that stand out for me are;
Quote:4) Increase Tanker defense powers such that taking Tough/Weave isn’t necessary to hit respective caps for like sets (i.e., resistance sets shouldn’t need Tough to get to the S/L resistance caps, and Defense sets shouldn’t need Weave to get to the Defense softcap). Quote:1) Increase the damage cap for Tankers from +300% to +400%.
4) Standardize Tanker Tier 1 attacks. Considering that Bruising is attached to this attack, all Tankers should be able to use it just as well.
6) Tanker sets with only one AoE attack should be fixed so that the single AoE is good.Quote:5) Allow Tankers to slot the Taunt set IOs in their auras again. A single broken IO should not mean we can’t slot any of these in our auras.
6) Make Taunt hit more targets for Tankers.
8) Standardize the aggro auras on Tankers. WP and SR have significantly reduced aggro abilities.Quote:1) While the current Tanker inherent of Gauntlet allows the tanker to do his job, there is no tangible reward for doing so. The Tanker needs something as a reward for doing his job, much like other ATs are rewarded by their inherents for doing theirs. For instance, Controllers do bonus damage to enemies that are being controlled, Blasters do more damage the more they do damage, etc.
3) Give Tankers the old Defiance…as they take damage, they do more damage.
4) Reduce Tanker armor/toggle endurance costs.
6) Stop Gauntlet from affecting the streakbreaker.
9) Tankers currently get very little benefit for doing less DPE with sets they share with Scrappers and Brutes.... Tankers share the same debuff mods with Scrappers and Brutes. This means that while they are doing less damage, they do not have stronger debuffs. Increase Tanker debuff Mods so that they have stronger secondary effects on their attacks.

Had to go hunting for that myself...
In the Powers Combat Attributes window, under Base, toward the bottom along with inf, threat level, etc.
I do wish it would show somewhere in the experience bar, maybe along with all the other icons.... something.

I'm one of those who is terrible at multitasking, I get so focused on fighting, and with all the graphics, I often miss a ding.
Also, as others have mentioned, when in lowbie farms, it seems that there is a ding every other minute, so I usually say, "PermaGratz to all who level" at the beginning. Then at the end, I'll say something like, "So how many dings did we all get?". That is usually followed by a chorus of "awesome" and "gratzies" all around.
When I DO catch a ding on higher level TFs/mishes, I don't always use the same phrase. I tend to personalize it with a little silliness.

I do not like cheesecake...
But I do like pie....
I like all different kinds of pie....
But I don't want pie for every single meal...
If I were to have pie for every single meal, I don't think I'd like it as much.
I might even *gasp* get tired of pie.
So, in order to keep pie special and enjoyable, I prefer to consume it in moderation.

Apparently, Rangle has enlisted the assistance of Warboss, the very person who started accusing Rangle of plotting, to defend him in the Court of Public Opinion....
Surely this can only be considered further evidence of Rangle's insidious powers of obfuscation and persuasion.

Well.... considering the limit on the number of members a SG can have is 150...
and the max amount of character slots you can have on a server is 48...
I'd say you could conceivably have 48 alts all in one SG...

Quote:Quote:The towel cape did give me an idea of a person who uses everyday objects to try and make himself look like a superhero. For example when children uses a towel as a cape, or curtains as an outfit and a pillow as a shield . . .
Towel cape!
Colander helmet!
Super jammies!
Spatula sword! (pancake/barbeque type)
Pot lid shield!
ah yes... those were the days...

Quote:Thanks for the clarification.Quote:You can't see the unlocks on the Rewards tree unless you're Premium, which is mildly annoying.
...I think it's kind of stupid for them not to show on the VIP popups, since those things are still unlocked by being Tier X, regardless that you're currently subscribed(they should not assume that you will never unsubscribe).
And I agree.... there is a certain arrogance in the assumption that information isn't needed/desired simply because of account status.
It should be available regardless of account status.

P-wiki has a page on the Paragon Rewards Program.
Apparently, the "meter" along the side of the Rewards Tree page is supposed to tell you what bonus rewards you get at each level. But I also have not seen the "unlocks" mentioned in any of the popups.
Somewhere, in the pile of Dev/Community posts, there is a breakdown... might even be in one of the patch notes. But until the forums are fixed (hopefully tomorrow), I'm not inclined to go digging.

That's okay.... we love you anyway.
(hee hee hee, couldn't resist)
Dump, if you just have a normal sub currently, you'll be fine. Even if your sub is currently on a special offer, you'll be fine (because the offer is already in effect for you).
Snow's special from last year isn't in effect on his account yet. It won't kick in for him until Dec. 7. So he is waiting for it to start running before he gets a new one.

Quote:Aaahhhhh........The 12+2 plan from last time still hasn't kicked in on my account, and you can only have one version of this at a time.
So.... next year.... your renew date will fall well into Feb?... then you will miss out on the offer (assuming they do it again)?
