Quote:Don't tease me!I understand they're giving serious consideration to raising that storage limit to 32.
I'm glad we'll be able to scratch off another item on THE LIST.
I do have a base on beta, but dunno if I'll be able to test it out anytime soon. If someone beats me to it, I have a couple questions...
I understand they will cost more in prestige, but have they left eng/ctrl costs the same?
Also, is the number of beacons allowed in the TP rooms the same, or increased to accommodate?

How else did you know about the BNY Plot, unless it was one of YOUR plots in the first place? hmmmmmmmmm???

This can also happen if you change up your capital letter usage in your login
For instance (pulling this outta thin air) Perfect Hero vs. perfect hero
Each will set up it's own file.
So, if you change up your list under one version (caps), then switch to the other version (no caps), the lists will be different.
All you would need to do is delete the one you don't want, and be consistent with your login. =)

Quote:SG's do not solely fill those functions. The SGs are about groups. Making friends, meeting others, and talking to people.
Teaming and global channels also fill those functions.
Just because a player may want a solo SG, doesn't mean they don't have friends or meet others or don't talk to people.
SG's are what the player makes of them.
And many players prefer to make them solo.
There's a difference between desire/intent and reality. The argument that SG's are "supposed" to be group content doesn't hold water to the way the players actually use them.
The problem I'm seeing is mixed signals from the Devs.
On the one hand, they've crippled SG's and bases to such an extent as to make them much less useful for larger groups.
This has caused an uptick in solo SG's.
On the other hand, they are not allowing features for the solo players because they "don't want a bunch of solo SG's using up all the resources".
There is some serious counter intuitive thinking going on here.

Ack! How did I miss all these updates?!
This is going to be quite the project, looks like you are having fun.
If you are looking for "personality traits", here are the short versions of Loki and Pippin's bios.
Basically, Loki likes beer. He belonged to a scientist as a cat, ended up drinking something that tasted like beer.... but wasn't. And yes, the RL Loki does like beer... not that I LET him drink it.
Pippin belonged to a CoT magi/dude, and accidentally got caught up in a ritual gone awry. He's looking for the culprit who screwed it up (not thinking to look in the mirror, of course). The RL Pippin is a very persistent lovey dovey kitty (attention w**re).

Quote:Well, that is puzzling.Didn't work that way for my free account. I bought the VIP kit the last time it went on sale for $1.99 and applied it to one of my free accounts. I got 1 token for buying something from the store and when my 30 days ended I got a second token for the account being active for 1 month.
The only reason I got the second token was because the account was VIP for 1 month.
I'll double check with the guy, but I'm pretty certain he never "subbed". Just spent $5 on points to acquire the 2nd Token.

Quote:As I understand it, any new account automatically gets one Reward Token.A $5 purchase gets you that "first-time purchase" token, but it doesn't get you the "$15 spent" token. In order to get two tokens, you have to spend a minimum of $15.
The (first time) $5 purchase will grant a second Reward Token.
At least, that's how it's worked for one of my SG mates, who started with a Free account.
Perhaps you are thinking of a Preem account.
A Preem account is one that has already put money into the game (but is not currently "subbed"). As such, their subsequent purchases would need to be $15 to get the extra Reward Token.
Since the suggestion was to create a NEW Free account and use it just for the purpose of SG invites... The financial cost of doing this should only be $5.

I try to avoid it on any character that is toggle heavy (tanks). Running those toggles with hasten on will make you burn through end like it's the last cabbage patch doll.
That said, I find it useful on certain characters that have an abundance of slow recharging click powers.
A lot depends on power choices. Mids' builder is your friend.

There are indeed some wonderful costumes in that thread, and you've actually picked a few of my own favorites from it.
I was actually surprised that you have included my Arti, as I only tossed her in more as a "my newest", not necessarily "my best", lol. But I'm glad you like it.
Sorting out the best out of 100 is going to be a challenge, I think.

Quote:Actually, the minimal purchase on the P-market is $5 for 400 points. That is all a (new) Free account needs to spend.Quote:
Honestly, $15, while not "trivial", is a minimal one-time investment. It's a single movie ticket nowadays.
It gets them a total of 2 tokens, which allows SG invitation and a few more chat privileges.

Quote:Quote:On a somewhat related note, I just noticed yesterday that I'd assumed leadership of a Villain Group.
... I'm a division leader or Hero Force - Alpha Assault already, so it's not like a random newbie taking over the group.
From P-Wiki patch notes page, re; issue 14, 8-4-09:
Quote:The position is affected by auto demotion, and it is the only rank now affected by this design. When that occurs, it will pass to the next highest rank member that has logged in most recently. Any player that has been logged out for longer then the auto demotion time is not eligible to be promoted, regardless of rank.
IF none of the seconds have logged in within that time window, the star will fall down the ranks until it finds the toon that fits the parameters.
IF nobody has logged in within the demotion time window, the star will go to whoever logs in "first".
So.... my suggestion would be, log in your leadership toons often.

It's a thing I've gotten used to, but I do remember when I first started playing I thought it was odd.... "Why do I need to see everyone else's junk?"
Though it's useful for seeing special buffs (dom, scourge, etc.,.), piling up every little thing does muddy the screen a bit.

There is another way to tie a bunch of powers to one key by using the "toggleon" command instead of "powexec" and doing it as a keybind instead of a macro.
Personally, I would separate the toggle powers and the click powers onto two (or more) different keys. Reason being, when the toggles are turned on, they will just keep running until you turn them off separately. The clicks will recharge as normal and be ready for the next keypress.
You can also set one power to fire (toggle) on the downpress and one on the release by putting a "+" in front of your command string.
Here's a quick example of both that I have in one file for my blaster:
NUMPAD1 "+ $$powexec_toggleon Aim$$powexec_toggleon Build Up"
NUMPAD2 "+ $$powexec_toggleon Combat Jumping$$powexec_toggleon Tough$$powexec_toggleon Weave"
NUMPAD3 "+ $$powexec_toggleoff Combat Jumping$$powexec_toggleoff Tough$$powexec_toggleoff Weave"
NUMPAD4 "+ $$powexec_toggleon Nova$$powexec_toggleon Conserve Power"
My clicks are numpad 1&4. Downpress and release for each set. They will recharge as normal and be ready to fire on the next keypress.
My toggles are numpad 2&3. I do have to hit numpad2 a couple times to toggle everything on; once on, they will continue to run. If I get detoggled, I just have to hit the key again, and the things that were detoggled will come back on. Then numpad3 turns them all off simultaneously.
Just another angle for ya to consider.

Quote:Well, considering that the OP is dated six years ago, and we were spinning desks to take advantage of a bug that allowed us to stack things.... it made sense then. lolQ22: When I'm placing decorations, how do I put things on top of other things?
A22: Practice.
This doesn't help me. How do you put bottles and jars on top of desks? There has to be a way.

And when I reconnected, found that I'd lost the candycanes and the units of reward merit.
Bugs and petition submitted.
I also bugged & petitioned this mishap, and the GM's were kind enough to verify my complaint and award my character the candy canes, merits and the badge.
It was taken care of within 24 hours.

WanderingAries, I bet if you log into that old account and look at the Reward Tree, it is well beyond Tier 2. Tier 2 is where an account is allowed to join SGs.
