Anyone have anything to say about Demons/Poison?
-
Contemplating going Rad/Ice, because frankly it just seems like an offensive combo built around the idea of screwing the enemy over period. Irradiate+Chilling Embrace, Ice Patch+Shiver+Electron Haze+Neutron Bomb.
-
...why no Claws/Stone?
When Claws was made available, it was inherently clear that you couldn't roll a Claws/Shield Brute (Until they make the 66 Month Vet Reward "Third Arm Mutation"). But I was perplexed when I flicked through the combos with Claws and saw that I couldn't choose Stone Armor. I mean, let's face it. It's a wacky, wonderful universe where people can have giant spines jutting out of their bodies yet be invisible, raise the dead and pelt your enemies with toxins, even merge with a freaky squid-thing and shoot lasers from your...tentacles.
But is an eight-foot-tall slab of granite doing a spinning flip while stabbing someone with a pair of knives attached to their wrists really that far-fetched?
Anyone have a rationale/conspiracy theory/idea/reason? -
I'm torn between Ninjitsu and Regen; Regen for thematic purposes, Ninjitsu for the fact that Ninjitsu is fun as hell. Any thoughts or opinions?
-
DM/SR has shaped up to be one of my favorite builds by 39, what with the self heal, the +END and the +DAM/HIT bonus power and the ludicrous amount of defense. The one problem I have is that I don't really like Tough and Weave; I don't need two more toggles. So this is my current build that I might make final. Could anyone give thoughts or opinions?

Alright. This is the standing build for the Corr thus far. Most likely I'll respec somewhere along the line and maybe start with just Ice Blast the next time around.

If there's any problems with how this looks (I mean cosmetically reading this, not power choices), I apologize. For some reason, Mids isn't working well with exporting for me. -
I keep hearing about the fabled Ice/Kin, how it turns bosses into crying children and lays frozen ruin to entire cities with a flick of a hand. That being said. Which powers are skippable? The ones I keep hearing from my friends are Ice Storm (causes scattering), Increase Density (is a pain to recast, plus I'm already casting Speed Boost), Inertial Reduction (nice ghetto travel power, but isn't completely needed), Repel (eats more End than a starving Malta Sapper) and Bitter Freeze Ray (long cast time is long). I'm also thinking of taking the Leviathan pool for IC purposes, not to mention Hibernate in case of emergencies, and most likely Leaping, in addition to Fitness and maybe Hasten, possibly Assault if I have a free space. Can anyone tell me if I'm on the right track?
-
Why not Henchmen? And I mean classic Henchmen. Laser cannons, jumpsuits, big bulky helmets and your Tier 3 is an irate, musclebound perfected experiment. Plus you can go /Storm and pretend to have a weather dominator.
-
Why not name him "Hammertime"?
For my old Thugs/Traps MM, I named them all after Greek heroes from the Illiad. Achilles, Patrocles, Pyrrhus (the Arsonist) for the Tier 1's, Agamemnon and Menelaus for the Tier 2's, and the Tier 3 was the mighty Ajax. -
IMO? DM/SR. Using just IO's, I've solo'd Back Alley Brawler, Mynx, Infernal and a few more EBs. They call it an AV Killer for a reason. Hell, I /ignore/ the minions around the bosses because I can use them as Soul Drain or Dark Consumption fodder. It's really a ton of fun.
-
Ahem. There's one melee that /does/ exist....but barely.
Ladies and gents, I'd like to recommend....
RADIOACTIVE MELEE!
Think about it. Quick defense debuffs, medium damage, pure NRG-DAM without that freakin' +KB or the pink pom-poms. And before you go calling my bluff about it being in-game: Shivans (kinda) have it and so do Infected (kinda). Who amongst you wouldn't want to punch through a man's rib-cage with the force of an atom bomb for your Assassin's Strike? -
[ QUOTE ]
But, the only think I don't like about /dark is that it's going to hide your blades with Cloak of Darkness, so you'll just be a black blob moving awkardly and slashing. lol
But hey, That's just me. ;P
[/ QUOTE ]
.....that actually sounds pretty freakin' cool. -
Look, to be honest, I came up with this combo for a few reasons. Number A: It fit thematically. B: I've never run /Dark, but I've heard wonderful things, and 3: I just plain like the hacky-slashy feel of DB. It might just end up being a nifty black blur of flying knives and skulls. Here's my working build.

Thoughts? Comments? Death threats? -
This might just open a can of worms, but I was under the impression that World of Confusion was kinda not-so-helpful. As in you have to slot for confuse duration, and it only works on Minions.
-
I'm not really too sure about the combo. It seems kinda cool, like a pyrokinetic combo, but I'm not too sure on what should and shouldn't be taken from both sets. Any suggestions?
-
See, I've tangled with Dark in the past on a Corr and on a MM, and I've found that there's just nothing like sweet, sweet debuffahol that Dark can give me. That being said, I've never used Ice Blast, not on any of my characters. I'm interested in it over Psy because of the slows in addition to recharge debuff. How well would the two work together, and what can be skipped?

re: Confederate Statesmen (Don't actually know him in-game)
Sounds like a fan of the "Great War" series of novels by Harry Turtledove. Same premise: Confederate States survives as a nation and takes part in the first and second world wars. There was a mention of a Confederate Super-hero called "Hyperman". (Counter-point to Superman)
The names and the costume probably could have used some work, but it is a neat idea. Even though crossovers have a stigma of being unoriginal.

Huh, really? I just always found the versions of Statesman to be incompetent (especially Imperious, freaking fool). And I just wondered how I could mess up Statesman even more, especially with a huge beard. Just the whole image of Statesman as a stereotypical Southerner seems funny to me, and I think it's even funnier if Recluse was a bird-man. But thanks for pointing that out.
DISCLAIMER: When I say versions of Statesman, I in no way am referring the developer, lest I be smote with furious vengeance and get my account revoked. -
Great job with the comic Chase and Cinder! And thanks for the reference

Just a quick question. My damn Zombies won't attack inanimate objects (bank vaults, cars, pay phones, etc). Is there any way to rewrite the attack command so they'll obey me?
-
Shucks, I finally get mentioned. Angry, if you're happy you weren't eating anything, you're gonna hate my next article. ;P
