A Fortunata is a reasonably close fit, I think; Fort melee attacks aren't psi, and they can only get pets from patron pools, but they do have an otherwise similar array of power types.
-
Double-bladed doesn't work too well for Staff animations - some attacks have you gripping very close to the back end of the weapon, so it would either have the character holding on by the lightsaber blade (probably not wise) or the middle section would be full staff length plus blade length on the end, which would clip into the ground an awful lot.
...but I imagine some players would happily put up with that for a Darth Maul lightsaber, so who cares? -
Quote:It shouldn't, AFAIK, much like IO procs or Interface powers don't.Ok, big question. When the tier 2 & 3 tack on Smashing damage to attacks, does that tag the attacks with Smashing damage as far as defense goes? That's a big deal. I don't particularly want my pure fire attacks tagged as Smashing defensively.
Very few enemies have typed defense against only a few types, anyway, at least that I can think of. -
It scales with the power's recharge time, much like PPM proc chances. If anyone has figured out and posted the full formula, I haven't seen it, but we do have a bunch of samples.
Lots of numbers in, say, this thread. Since that thread, doublehit has gained a ceiling on its damage (at 20 seconds), since certain very-long-recharge powers were dealing hundreds of damage, but otherwise the numbers should still be valid AFAIK. -
I'm not sure if it's official, but I seem to recall reaching more or less a consensus that it was probably Elementar in a previous thread.

Right, I misremembered the base accuracy on Judgements. But against +3s (in Apex/Tin Mage, for instance), those alone would be (.48+.06)*1.3=.702 = 70.2% hit chance, while empirically I consistently have a 95% chance.
-
I'm fairly confident that they do. Set bonuses boost your character's global accuracy attribute, which applies to all powers, even unenhanceable ones (temp powers, etc). Also, every character I have seems to have a 95% hit chance with Judgements against higher-level foes, which 20% accuracy and a Kismet proc cannot provide by themselves. Unfortunately I do not have time to check this in-game at the moment, but if there's still uncertainty this evening I'll grab some combat log screenshots.
-
Yes. Judgement is affected by any relevant alpha enhancement, except recharge.
-
You have ~200% of head room, actually. Tanker damage cap is +300% worth of buffs, it doesn't include the base 100% (so the cap is 400% if you want to include that). Plenty to get full benefit from Build Up and Hybrid Core t4, plus a couple inspirations. Of course, heavy insp use and/or Fulcrum Shift would push you past the cap, but for solo use you'll get full benefit from Core most of the time.

Stalkers get Entropy Shield rather than Entropy Aura, which gives a flat 20% recharge self-buff rather than the scaling buff/debuff aura.
And although I also have not tried the stun aura because it looks migraine-inducing, the set is indeed excellent. -
Celestial does not, sadly, since it was released before TW and did not get updated when the set came out. Fire & Ice has a rock/magma hammer and sword, as well as a sword made completely out of fire, for TW though.

Quote:Still the PPM version, although not by much (25% proc chance in Stamina, versus 20% for the crafted version). Come i24 they will be identical, although of course that's still a ways off.question: did anyone every conclusively figure out which is better on the performance shifter proc in stamina- store bought PPM or in game %chance every ten seconds?
I know some dev said eventually they want to alter everything to be PPM, but I live in the NAO so I would like to know which is better. Last I looked in the store the descriptions dont tell you the PPM rate on the SBE, so I dont even know what the rate is on them. -
There's usually a short delay between buying points and getting the tokens (a couple hours, tops), because the account database doesn't necessarily sync immediately. Logging out and back in should force it to update IIRC. But yeah, basically straight away, you don't have to spend them first.

Quote:Old booster packs cost $10, which is 800 points now (more, if you count bonuses for buying more than 400 at a time, but I'll ignore that here). 800 points gets you the Origins capes (400 points) and auras (80 points each, 5 auras).Like the Origin pack for example:
The pack was for 4 capes and 4 Auras. But right now, the capes are 400PP and the Aura's are separate, so 4 capes for the same amount of PP as say the Steam Punk pack, which has over 40 items in it.
Some boosters did end up more expensive, but they told us that would happen. On the other hand, the ability to buy pieces individually, rather than paying $10 for the whole pack that you only want one piece of, can allow some pretty good savings. -
Hm, odd. I'm not sure why it's in "New". I mean, the "New" category has always had stuff that stretches the definition of "new" (Imperial Dynasty is in there too, for example), but not THAT far back.
By the way though, market updates now happen at 6am, not midnight. -
It's just the costume pieces from the old Martial Arts Booster, turned into a Paragon Market bundle. So no, it's not new. There are similar bundles for the other old booster packs (magic, mutant, cyborg, etc).
-
Those items will quite likely go on sale again sooner or later, but I would not count on having exactly the same sales for the 4th of July, no. Nor necessarily even for next Memorial Day.
-
I don't recall whether Shield or Inv has the stronger taunt aura (Mids says both are 17 seconds), but they're both quite strong.
The damage you'd lose compared to a Scrapper will be substantial, while the survivability you'll gain will be pretty minimal. However, a Scrapper has a much harder time tanking for a team, so if that's what you want to do and Tankers are off the table, go Brute. -
Quote:Some fellow already posted a good one in this very thread, lemme find it. Ah, yes...But if you like why don't you show examples of your flipping that lowers the price.
Quote:A flipper finds an item that generally sells for 20 million but people still list at below three.
He buys at 3 million and change
He sells somewhere between 15 and 20.
Unrelatedly,
Quote:Got most of them no problem then ran into a speed bump on a couple of Defenses for my bubble machine.
Doubled the 'last 5' on my first bid, no dice.
Went 600k on my next bid, no dice.
Actually paused and thought WTH I can craft these for, like 30k! before coming to my senses and picking them up for a cool million each.
I mean, this is on a character who has a 150m bankroll at level 17 so what do I care? I have 10 minutes to gear up and run a mission while my son's eating breakfast, I'm not going to spend 5 of it messing around crafting a couple of IOs that are "overpriced".
If I'm buying the finished enhancement though, yeah, a million inf to save a trip to the university is money well spent. -
The idea was interesting, and even today I still think he looked kinda cool like that. If it had been a new character, or an alternate universe, or some such, millennium-Superman might have faded into mere obscurity rather than being remembered as a much-reviled and stupid idea. Superman fans don't take kindly to Superman no longer being Superman.

I think the atmosphere you're talking about was, at least in part, because for a while the game didn't really have stuff to challenge a scrapper on the high-end, so we made up our own challenges (solo an AV, solo an AV without insps/temps, solo an AV without insps/temps faster than that, solo many different AVs without insps/temps, etc etc). Soloing an AV didn't mean much other than forum bragging rights. With the difficulty slider and Incarnates, there's stuff difficult enough to challenge even the mightiest Scrapper without setting up artificial extra obstacles, and there are in-game rewards for doing so.
I certainly haven't stopped doing stupid scrapper tricks; with Incarnate powers, I can walk all over things that were once near-impossible, and things that WERE impossible are now within reach. But there's not as much use nor desire to discuss it at great length anymore.

Yes, the command is: /send channel message
You'll need to use quotes if the channel name is more than one word, as yours is. So for example:
/send "Speed Trial" 3 spots left on BAF!
This can be a bit tedious to type each time, so you can also make a bind or macro, for example:
/bind . beginchat /send "Speed Trial"
That would make the . (period) key start a chat message and insert the /send "Speed Trial" part, and then you just type your message. -
IIRC, they last significantly longer than Break Frees, although they provide a lower magnitude of protection.

Quote:Generally, it is better to start a new thread than to resurrect a vaguely-related one from 2.5 years ago.i heard that you can subscribe and i dont know how because i heard that u get points and i just want them can someone help me
But yeah, you get 400 points per month with a VIP subscription. You can subscribe from Account Management on the main website, or you might be able to do it in-game from the Paragon Market although I do not know for certain.
If you JUST want points, you can get more points for your money by buying points directly, through the Paragon Market or the website. A subscription includes lots of other perks, but almost all of them go away when the subscription ends, and if you just want the 400 points you can buy them directly for $5 rather than a month's subscription at $15.
VIP is almost always a better buy if you're spending money every month, or if you want all the features, but if you just want to make a small one-time purchase for a costume pack or whatever, you're probably better off buying the points for it directly.
