The only tanks I have seen with hover, that acutally use it in combat are fire and dark who apparetnly don't want to deal with -KB IOs or having acrobatics and just use hover to keep from getting tossed around.

Just saying before they start improving things, they should make the system work the way it is supposed to. Personally I don't want to see the warning pop up every time I try to sell something so I put my setting to hide the warning. Yet the first time I try and sell something after I zone it popps up again.
Edit to add:that being said I do like the idea. -
Or just have the ability to turn it off work.
-
Yes the brute can be better overall. It just takes more work and Im lazy.

Quote:Ever see a lightning bolt come within 100' of the ground but not hit anything? Lighting will either go cloud to cloud or cloud to ground, never cloud to almost to ground. The only power I want the grounded aspect removed from is Lightning Rod, it makes no sense for you to have to be on the ground to summon a teleporting lightning strike that can then terminate in mid air.
The only part that does not makce sense is being able to have it strike in mid air.
Edit to add: Now I could get behind it if you were able to summon a ligtning bolt that hits you mid air and you could redirect it to the ground. -
I'll type slowly so you can understand, just in case you don't read very fast
It is easiest to dual box in windowed mode. When in game hit menu, go down to options, click on graphics tab. Then change resolution to windowed. If you don't do this then you will have to hit the window/start key each time you want to change screens.
Then exit the game for the settings to take.
Next boot up your first instance of the game to the sign in menu.
Then boot up the 2nd instance of the game. If you want to switch between them you can just click on the tab at the bottom or if you have a large enough screen and the memory to support it, you can put both instances on the screen at once and just click between which one you want to use. -
And don't forget gloom. It has higher DPA than every one of the fire attacks.
-
You go ahead and sit in a chair and see if you can place an object on the ground without your feet or any part of your body touching the ground. Assuming you have 2 working arms and have at least an IQ of 70 you should be able to do it. Then try to stomp without touching the ground, see how that works for you.
-
And as far as stone spears go, perhaps it is for thematic purpose that you have to be touching the ground in order to manipulate it.
-
Temp powers other than those you listed are affected by damage buffs and debuffs. Makes the hand grenades pretty nice with rage and fury and elec fences to keep the mobs from flying back.
-
All are devices you can turn on and then drop on the ground. You cannot do that with your foot. Quit your whining.
-
Did not look at the builds either but just tossing out my 2 inf.
I actually like SD/SS better only because you can get to the soft cap with minimal effort. After that you can focus on recharge with purples to get footstomp, shield rush and any other aoes up faster instead of having to pick powers and use slots just to get to the soft cap. Once I finish my current project SD/SS tanker will be next. I plan to go to villian side to pick up the mu patron powers for elec fences and ball lightning.
While a brute will do more damage with each hit, you will be able to get the tanker up to have the heavy attacks cycle faster. One of the few times I would go with a tank over a brute, but hey thats just me. -

Quote:Gotta love the irony on that one.
And here was a bit of metaphor shear; the other night I was on a PuG, and or mission was to Stop a Jailbreak. While in the cellblock of the Paragon PD, I KB'd a minion into a cell, through the solid door. We could not "arrest" this last minion because he was stuck in a police jail cell... -
Suggestions are down there.
Also you cannot stomp on the ground when you are in the air. That should really not be so difficult to figure out.

Quote:Amost right. Everything is correct except the duration. It adds +50%. So for a 10 second hold you get the 10 second mag 3 and a 15 second mag 3 while domination is up.Regarding domination, I believe what it does is add a second effect to all applicable controls, which duplicates and stacks with the orginal but with longer duration (double IIRC).
Thus, for example, if I had a mag 3 hold with a duration 10secs, when using domination, it will fire off two holds: the first with mag 3 and 10s duration, the second also with mag 3 but with 20s duration. So, for 10s you get a mag 6 hold, and for the next 10s it's mag 3. -

Testing using 1 specific farm will not give you accurate overall results. While Shield is not that great at nem farms once the LTs die it can be great in other areas vs mobs without to hit buffs. Likewise /fire vs all fire mobs will do much better than vs all psi mobs but WP may do just fine vs both.
Also when shooting for the best inf/min ratio, +4 mobs are the worst way to go. +2 is normally the best setting w/o bosses. -
Quote:For TA based on the game text yes. But I can imagine a proximity sensor that goes off close to the target to release the expanding ball of whatever onto the target.Everything in Trick Arrow - You've been hit by a yard long pointy stick travelling at 300 feet per second. It should hurt.
Accelerate Metabolism - Why isn't anyone concerned over the effect speeding the metabolism up by 30% has on the aging process?
As far as AM, I am puzzled by the heal in the rad set as well. Never really heard of good radiation. -
The aggro cap. Similar to what BrandX was saying.
OMG its SuperVillianDudeMan. Lets all get 'em.... Well execpt for you guys. No no its ok we got it. But if 4 of us drop then 4 and only 4 of you can start fighting. The rest of you just stand there and watch.
Cooldown on rest.
Ok I need to take a break...... Ok off to fighting...... Wow that was a draining fight. I need to rest again. Oh wait I am not quite ready yet to do nothing. Guess Ill have to sit here doing nothing while I wait to sit there and do nothing more efficently.
Any AOE attack. How the hell does that giant fierball know who is its friend or foe? -
-
There are ways around the cottage rule. 2 nuke options that are mutually exculsive. If you get one, you cannot get the other one.
-
With a constant heard of mobs like you can get in AE, burn+FE > shield charge+AAO. Over time that is.
-
No mixed feelings here. I really don't understand all the crying about this either.
-But I am doing just fine on my build without stamina.
Fine, as a reward for being able to build a toon without the need for stamina you get to run faster, jump higher, heal faster and recover faster and will only cost you a respec that you will be given for free. If we are lucky, we will get 2 respecs since some of us have 2 builds on each toon. If you are really that against the change, dont respec.
-But my concept does not include hurdle or swift let alone health and stamina.
Ok does your concept explain why you can run forever at over 14 mph (not counting swift or sprint) or explain how you can have a vertical leap higher than any NBA superstar? I don't understand how someone can explain a concept that includes shooting ice from their hands, being able to manipulate electricity and being able to come back from the dead in a massive burning fireball, but they cannot explain why they can heal a little faster or recover energy slightly faster than your average human. If your issue is concept, then you will have to change your concept a little. The other option is don't respec and you will still fit the concept for that toon. For new toons you may have to exert your brain just a little bit more to come up with a concept that includes the fitness pool as an inherent.
-But now I will have 3 more powers that I cannot put slots in. And I dont want them to go to waste.
Option one, dont respec, then you will not have to worry about the stress of having to pick 3 extra powers. Option 2 pick 3 powers and do not put them in your tray.
-But then I would have 3 powers that would just go to waste and I would never use.
So what? Do you still eat that fruitcake your crazy neighbor makes you every Christmas that tastes like a$$? No you toss it in the trash. Honestly if you cannot find 3 powers that you can use even every once in a while that only take up one slot, the problem is you. If you think it is not possible, PM me with your mids build and Ill find 3 powers for you. But if you are really that dead set against taking powers you will probably never use, dont respec. -
Quote:So make it easier for those that can manage their builds ok without stamina and make the bluebar meaningless to those that take it?As regards to getting stamina, Im kinda looking foreword to it,all thou you can start the power pool as low as lvl 6, and have stamina by lvl 20, for the average player this has become a standerd selection, so freeing up the extra slots would be a benefit
If it where to become inherent i would like to see it made slightly weaker requiring more slots to gain the same lvl as a 3 slotted Stamina (to make it both more challenging and interesting)while leaving open the fitness pool still for thus wishing to choose this (it would make an interesting combo in my opinion) allowing for extra IO bonuses and giving more Choice.
So i would say in short go ahead as long as it's implemented well and not as a straight replacement
Um no.
This change will accomplish the first without having to deal with the problems that the second would create.
