They won't get them because slows cause a MAJOR drop in fury gain. Notice not a single current brute set has a slow in it? THAT'S WHY! It was in CoV beta and they found the major problem there. Ice powers would work a lot better on a scrapper or stalker, but brutes need to be attacked FAR more often so they can keep their biggest damage buff as high as possible. -

Well that is not entirely true, but it's impact is very small now. When CoV was released, the fury mechanic was completely unfriendly to high Def sets. If you didn't get hit, you didn't get fury. Ice Armor, Ice Melee, and specifically the combo Ice/Ice would have meant almost no fury. The incoming damage would have been slow, and with the high def, if built right, almost non-existant. When they changed the mechanic, Def sets became viable.
Def can slow fury generation, you aren't getting hit as much, but is really not an issue if you have a competent attack chain. -
Easier suggestion would be to have people slow down for 2 seconds and follow the link in the updater. No additional work for the devs required on that one.

Sheesh, take leave for a few months and still have the exact same thread topics going. Have not bothered to read the thread but Im guessing it is like every single other thread on this topic. Something to the effect of---
Majority-- SS/Fire/Mu
couple others--- no way _____ is much better.
Majority-- why?
others-- cuz SS sux cuz it only haz 1 aoe
Majority-- also has rage and 2 other aoe attacks that are boosted by rage.
others-- rage sux cuz of end crash
Majority-- ok so prove it is better
others-- no you prove SS/Fire/mu is better
Majority-- Its been proven time and time again. Your set is not bad just not the overall best.
others-- my ____ is still better and SS sux.
The blank is normally filled in by Ele/SD (scrapper) or Ele/Fire. Every once in a while you will get some crazy person saying Mace or Axe is better because of the cones but those are few and far between.
Just for farming, with optimal conditions SS/Fire/Mu and with enough recharge SS/Fire/Fire is the best out there for inf/min from kills. -
Well very odd but I changed mice and the wheel worked on the different one. Frustrated I plugged the first mouse back in and it worked. Ty for your help.

Just a plain old microsoft mouse. No option to change the button layout other than to swap left and right. The odd thing is it is the exact same mouse I was using on my old computer and it had no issues.

I just came back after being away for several months. In that time I also got a new computer so all my old settings are gone.
I was used to using my mouse wheel to zoom in and out but apparently that is no longer in the default settings. When I go to edit those settings I cannot use the mouse wheel to change the settings. I can use different keys, or mouse buttons but I do not want that.
How does one bind zoom in and out to the mouse scroll wheel? -

My "hearding" normally consists of tossing out an aoe to one group and then having them follow me to the next group. Tends to speed things up a little that way. Sure I may end up with more than the aggro cap, but on a decent team it will be back down under again pretty fast.

If you are only shooting for purple drops then -1x8 with bosses. If you care about selling other recipies that drop for more than vendor fodder then +0x8 with bosses.

SS does good with elec or fire. However claws does good with dark as well due to its slightly lower end use on a set with an end hog of a self heal. Although if you hate redraw stay away from anyweapon/fire. Heal, consume and burn all cause redraw.
Also have a friend that loved his electric blender set of DB/Elec and this was before the buff. -

Run at level 1 in SG mode and you get way better returns than at 50. My parked level 15 AE farmer is getting about 380 inf and 180 prestige per boss kill. I can get you the exact numbers if you care, but at low level it is runs lower than a 10:1 conversion ratio. Because you get the exact same prestige per kill regardless of your level.
Which sounds really good on paper, but the truth is even my best level 15 and 20 farmers can't kill as efficiently as my 50s. But if all you care about is the conversion rate, then run low level. =) -
Only thing I can see is to drop Nimble slash and take power slice to get the sweep combo. Empower and weaken are pretty useless. On my DB, I like to use attack vitals combo +BF mainly but when I get a bunch of mobs I throw in the sweep combo as well. Great mitigation with that one along with decent damage.
Well there is the issue of a little overkill on the recovery, not that it is always a bad thing. -

I've had an EU account for a couple of years. Each time I tried to make a purchase through the EU NCsoft store, with my Visa Debit Card, I was getting all kinds of errors. "We do not allow the direct transfer of funds from US to EU due to overwhelming cases of bank fraud we've had to investigate from EU businesses."
Another company that also disallowes this type of purchase: PayPal.
It's why I had to stop playing on my EU account. You can use PayPal in the US for a US purchase/subscription and you can PayPal in EU for a EU purchase/subscription, but they do not allow a US to EU purchase//subscription. I've had numerous emails with them as well and the same reasoning was given.
I hate to say it, but due to the geographic location of your friend, she won't be able to continue to subscribe to EU NCsoft products let alone purchase a booster/upgrade. She could always buy an EU timecard, but compared to the US timecards, she'd be spending more for the card and shipping.
Have her contact her bank because I'm sure she'll get the same story from them.
I am guessing that they need to find an acutall credit card (not debit card) that will work for international purchases. -
