  1. All enemy groups have definitions in a big list, and the server's probably drawing from that list when it populates the defeats window. All new enemy groups would show up without being manually specified, which would explain what you're seeing.

Why no stats are being recorded or displayed under any circumstances is a question in and of itself.
  2. I don't think I've ever gotten an e-mail from NCsoft outside support issues and the occasional closed beta invitation.

Stick with the announcements on the main site. They won't let you down.
  3. Thank you for taking the survey.
Now you can create your own surveys for FREE!

Oh, sweet. I'm totally gonna find out how many people have encountered seeds in a watermelon that was labeled as seedless.
  4. Canadians will just have to stay subscribed to the game during holiday weekends to make sure they don't miss anything. (-:

    War Walkers

EDIT: Nevermind what I just said. Let's not get me in trouble.

Unless the entity class is explicitly overriden by the mission definition, the highest it can be is Arch-villain.

Is it part of your religion or something to argue with me?

War Walkers as they appear in Issue 18 are Boss-class. Go play through the new Maria Jenkins arc and see for yourself. Golaith War Walkers, while they aren't encountered in any current missions, are defined internally as Elite Boss-class as of Issue 18.

    EDIT:
I just checked the data for 1900.201009280723.0. There are multiple definitions of both, and one for War Walker is Elite Boss and one for Goliath War Walker is Arch-villain. The rest are Boss and Elite Boss respectively.

Well that's a relief. They're currently defined as EB in Issue 18.

I'm hoping they change it to EB. They're way too big to be Boss.

Yeah, I'd put the War Walker at Elite Boss and up the Goliath to Monster (aka Arch-villan).

    It's an EB, my friend.
  10. Was it the one in Black Scorpion's arc that was chock full of enemies every three steps? Or was it Dark Watcher? I can't remember.

No one ever remembers that map originated with Black Scorpion, but I think that's the version that's far superior as far as enemy count is concerned.
  11. I always make sure my henchmen are in the clear and not blocking any doorways or otherwise preventing teammates from getting through. I'm like the only Mastermind in the game who does this.

So far, it's worked out really well. No need to shrink them.
  12. I'm still enjoying all the awesome from Issue 18, personally. I have no idea how people can say "Okay, it's old now. Gimme more new!"

As for Stamina, I don't take it anyway, so life isn't any different for me. It's a benefit of the freedom I've been enjoying all this time. (-:
  13. Either that, or Silos's karma finally caught up with him. (-:
  14. Pillar Man brings THAT up too, interestingly enough. He points out the discrepancy of how Mender Silos says "the end is near, do what I say or die," whereas Pillar Man says "the choice is yours: I won't force you to do anything, but I suggest that you ask yourself what's going on."

Some things Pillar Man has mentioned:
    • What is the Coming Storm and why hasn't Ouroboros told us what it is?
    • Why doesn't Ouroboros send us into the future more than a couple times?
    • If Ouroboros is so blatantly violating the laws of time and space, why are they so concerned about fixing the past?
    • Silos wants us to follow him blindly, but Pillar Man is the only one who gives us choice.
As far as being respectful and informative, Pillar Man's argument holds a lot more water than Silos's. Maybe Pillar Man is a creep with a clever lure, but if he's so fixated on breaking down Ouroboros, why risk losing you from his team?
  15. Don't assume the Coming Storm is some end-all apocalypse just becuase Mender Silos says so. Pillar Man suggests it's actually a good thing and that the only reason Silos is trying to prevent it is because he's trying to cover his hiney and doesn't want his secret to get out.

Pillar Man is recruiting a team of both good and evil supers to counter the antics of Silos and his Ouroboros Menders. His approach may raise ethical concerns, but put them side by side and Pillar Man is the good guy, not Silos.
  16. Fitness becoming Inherent is lackluster. I rarely selected any powers from the pool (since there is rarely a need), and all the other stuff in Issue 19 is orders of magnitude more interesting than the yawn-fest of some unjustifiably popular power pool being granted to all characters.

And still evil. I really wanna stress that part!

First you're telling me that Emperor Cole is irrevocably evil, and now you want us to believe that Mender Silos is not? You got it all wrong!
  19. It's a trap! Baumtown is a temporal flux between Baumton and Boomtown!

    Mender Ramiel.

The only Mender whose name may be an anagram is Mender Silos, and I'm not entirely sure that it is (though the likelihood of his name containing the same letters as "Lord Nemesis" is a bit low, so make of it what you will).

What's more likely is that the Ramiel in and of itself is a reference to something. Such has been the case for Lazarus, Tesseract and Roebuck.
  22. You guys know Sunstorm is gone too, right?
  23. A reminder that Mr. Bruce does still have a private City of Heroes account and will probably continue playing despite not working on the game anymore. He may start posting under his private forum account and we'll never know who he is!
  24. Failure to verify/patch files or endlessly repeating patches are usually caused by faulty memory modules. If even one bit on one of your RAM sticks isn't reading/writing correctly, it'll cause a miscompare and the updater will fail or continuously try to fix the "broken" file that gets loaded into that region of memory. That, or the computer will simply crash. One or the other.

If you have multiple memory modules, try removing them one at a time and running the updater. If the updater finishes correctly, then the stick you've removed is the bad one and it should be replaced. If you only have one stick in there, then you know which one's broken. (-:
