Pretty much all Brutes have endurance issues at level 18. There are some things you can do to help it, but by 25 most of the problems should go away. What I always do before stamina is slot endredux first and then acc. At that level I am normally still at the base difficulty or the second, so acc is not as important as endredux and don't slot damage at this level either.
Try to have attacks at least 4 slotted at this point with 1acc, 3endredux each. -
You may be right, I'll have to look at it closer. I am sure someone that knows will chime in at some point.
-
Good point on Temp Protection, it makes a good IO mule, but still skippable on a tight build.
Another thing I do with my /fire brutes is pick up kick instead of boxing. 4 slot Kinetic Crash for some real cheap -kb -
<qr>I might see going for more defense if you had sofcapped it, but you didn't. I just don't think sacrificing your resistance in granite will be worth it. Also, how does Soul Drain hit anything without any acc in it? Soul Drain should be slotted for Recharge and Acc, you want it up as often as possible and you want it to hit.
-
I would go for +recharge and +HPs.
Recharge brings Healing Flames back faster and +HPs makes the heal bigger. -
1. What powers are skippable?
SS - Jab, Hand Clap, Hurl, Taunt
Fire - Temp Protection, RotP, and Fiery Embrace is optional since you have Rage(more damage is always good though)
2. What powers are pickable early on then respecced out later?
SS - Jab(good for building fury early, not as needed later)
3. I am looking for a kill them before they kill me brute, I dont have a lot of inf... is this combo playable late lvls without dumping tons of cash into it?
Yes, this combo is a pretty good farmer without a lot of inf.
4. Is there another primary that goes good with /Fire?
I went Elec, but SS is the most popular because of Foot Stomp
5. Tough/Weave?
I took Tough and Weave, but Weave doesn't have anything to stack with so not as important as Tough. You really need Tough.
I would also recommend Mu Mastery for Electric Fences so you can leverage Burn. -
The biggest issue with soloing AV's is maintaining endurance and sustained DPS. I don't think SS/SR will be good at that. SS/SR is a monster, but I think there are better AV killers.
If you are only worried about killing AV's then maybe try EA as your secondary. It gets a bad rap, but once you soft cap your defense it is a very solid set and you will never run out of endurance. -
I went with Leviathan Mastery on my Fire/Dark for the 2 AoE cones. That gives me 3 good AoE attacks and to make the cones work like a PBAoE I just jump straight up before firing them off.
I hear good things about DN and Gloom, but haven't put them in any build yet. I would imagine your brute will have a hard time running DN with all the other endurance issues a Stone/Dark has. -

I do think of Brutes as scrappers, except everyone else expects Brutes to Tank.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's sad but true. In reality, the tanks of Villains are supposed to be the Master Minds. A strange, twisted version, mind you.... but they are the one who were supposed to be able to handle taking alpha the easiest.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have built a Tankermind and they do ok, they would be better with taunt though. Presence pool is a weak taunt. -
At 39 you can also go to Thorn Island in Nerva and sweep the beaches for CoT. They spawn in pretty large groups and cap at level 40. RWZ is also a very good spot, I leveled up a tank there a couple levels by killing Rikti.

There is a very big difference between teams on red side and blue side. Heroes tend to take things a lot slower then Villains do when running through missions. Rarely do you see villain groups pausing between mobs since most are being driven by the Brutes fury bar. I have spent 90% of my time running red side Brutes, so that is how I play. I find the sitting around most blue side teams do to be very frustrating. I know the AT's are very different, but in most cases blue side just takes way too long on most teams when steamrolling the mobs is just as safe and in the long run much faster. -
I play all my Scrappers and Tanks just like I play all my Brutes. I set a very fast pace and a lot of teams have a hard time keeping up. It is one of the reasons I play red side most of the time. Heroes just tend to sit around too much.

DA can handle 8-man spawns just fine, but that is where dark regen comes in. You will be leaning on it heavily to mitigate the alpha from each spawn. You can do some amazing things with a DA brute and when things are going right it is an amazing set. If you get upset from your green bar making drastic dips a lot it is probably not th set for you though. I found it to be a very active set that I had to pay a lot more attention to, it is definitely not easy mode like WP.
-
I think it is on life support. Someone comes in and gives it a jab when it doesn't see any activity for awhile and brings it back to life.
-
I find Tough and Weave to be worth it on my DM/WP. ONce I had them slotted I noticed a big difference in my survival. I personally would get rid of them.

I actually have a level 30 Illusion controller and didn't know Blind causes sleep...

Don't feel bad I have an Ill/Rad at fifty and didn't realize it did that...lol
The effect must be real small and not very noticable I guess. -
As long as it is not Wailers! I hate those demons, just so boring.
If they used those it would give them an excuse to give MM's /sonic though. -
I never have a problem finding teams on Freedom. Yes it is the most populous server and yes you will see some retards there, but I have been playing on there for 3 years and it's really not that bad.
-
I took one of these to 50 and he did stay fairly squishy all the way. I still enjoyed the ride a lot though. Take healing flames early and slot it heavily, it will keep you alive.
It does get a lot better as you go and I would suggest getting the fighting pool in your 20's. I saw a vast improvement at that point. -

I didn't realize Fault was so good. The no damage part scared me off. Thanks for that input.
[/ QUOTE ]
If it not doing damage bothers you then slot it with a couple procs.
- Stupefy acc/recharge
- Stupefy acc/end
- Razzle Dazzle acc/recharge
- Razzle Dazzle acc/stun/recharge
- Perfect Zinger chance for psi damage
- Explosive Strike chance for smashing damage
this slotting also give +recovery bonuses you will need. -
3 Enhancement tables - all IO's
1 Inspiration Bin
1 Personal Storage Vault
the rest are Storage Bins for Invention salvage though one has Halloween salvage in it. -
I just got my first Corrupter to level 30 last night and I choose Fire/Dark. I must say I love all the AoE and how safe I am when soloing, but also that it shines when teamed. I would definitely recommend this combo to anyone.
Not sure how it would do for PvP since i avoid that most of the time. -

This is how I'm seeing it:
Take It
Take It if there's room
Skip It
1 Stone Fist
1 Stone Mallet
4 Heavy Mallet
6 Build Up
8 Fault
12 Taunt
18 Seismic Smash
26 Hurl Boulder
32 Tremor
1 Deflection
2 Battle Agility
4 True Grit
10 Active Defense
16 Against All Odds
20 Phalanx Fighting
28 Grant Cover
35 Shield Charge
38 One With the Shield
[/ QUOTE ]
Made a small change for you. Fault is just to good to skip! The mitigation from it will make the early level much better.
edit: Also, stone fist can be skipped if you plan to take the fighting pool. -
I used Mid's to tweek your build some. I went for mainly +HP and +Regen, but also added some +Recharge to get LR up more often.

I did steer clear of most expensive IO's.
