SS/Fire ignorance
There are a couple of decent write-ups in the Guides section that can probably answer your general questions.
"Forum PvP doesn't give drops. Just so all of you who participated in this thread are aware." -Mod08-
"when a stalker goes blue side, assassination strike should be renamed "bunny hugs", and a rainbow should fly out" -Harbinger-
1. What powers are skippable?
SS - Jab, Hand Clap, Hurl, Taunt
Fire - Temp Protection, RotP, and Fiery Embrace is optional since you have Rage(more damage is always good though)
2. What powers are pickable early on then respecced out later?
SS - Jab(good for building fury early, not as needed later)
3. I am looking for a kill them before they kill me brute, I dont have a lot of inf... is this combo playable late lvls without dumping tons of cash into it?
Yes, this combo is a pretty good farmer without a lot of inf.
4. Is there another primary that goes good with /Fire?
I went Elec, but SS is the most popular because of Foot Stomp
5. Tough/Weave?
I took Tough and Weave, but Weave doesn't have anything to stack with so not as important as Tough. You really need Tough.
I would also recommend Mu Mastery for Electric Fences so you can leverage Burn.
awesome! Thanks Gruumch, exactly what i needed, very much appreciated
If you have an empty power selection you can grab Temp Protection and use it for a Steadfast -kb. I think I also have a Imp. Armor Psi Resist in mine as well.
It's not as bad now since they added -slow resistance to it. But thats my opinion while using it with SM not SS.
Good point on Temp Protection, it makes a good IO mule, but still skippable on a tight build.
Another thing I do with my /fire brutes is pick up kick instead of boxing. 4 slot Kinetic Crash for some real cheap -kb
One suggestion I have is to pick up air superiority early on as a mitigation tool and extra fast recharging attack to build fury. Then respec out of it later once you go down the fighting pool route and exchange it for boxing.
That extra attack with guaranteed Knockdown makes a big difference early on in making a attack chain that doesnt drop your blue bar in 4 button mashes.

Meh.. 1 slot for -kb vs 4 slots can be tough in a tight build.
Personally I use Boxing as a stun set mule if I have the slots. Either 5 slot it with Stupefy or 2 slot it with Stupefy or Rope-a-Dope depending on if you want +recovery or +regen.
And thats not even touching Absolute Amazement. (as my builds don't use purples)

Yes one slot for -kb is better, but not everybody has the inf to buy those. 4 Kinetic Crashes is dirt cheap.
I do prefer Boxing as the stun set bonuses are much better, but options are always good.
You should check out the bronze rolls for the 30-34 range then.. I've gotten countless Kharma's and Steadfast -kb's from those. Its not a sure thing, but hey you might get something else you need from those rolls as well. I've built most of my Crushing Impact sets this way.

I will second this. I've made tens of millions selling recipes from Bronze rolls. This is one of the best deals in the game. It's actually driving down the price of Crushing Impact way down, especially at level 50.
Hello all again, I have another stupid question to be answered by the masses here again. As the title explains, I know absolutely nothing about SS, or Fire. I have a EA/EM lvl 50 brute(loved him), a SM/WP 50 (damn near untouchable) and a elec/sd 20. I like brutes....not really, I LOVE brutes, just dont know a lot about these sets.

5. Tough/Weave?
Any and all questions would be greatly appreciated from the masses...
Thanks in advance
