Steelclaw, there is something very, very, VERY wrong with you. Please don't ever change!
Oh and BTW, I kept hearing "bow-chicka-WOW-wow" music while I was reading your list. Maybe I should go clean my brain from all these dirty thoughts. -
Hey WB Hippy! You seem like quite the hoopy frood from your name alone!
I can only give you my experience...the wife and I have played for about 6 years now...so it'd be right after you left, methinks. She's currently off enjoying the "800 lb gorilla of the MMO world", while I'm still happily being super, thanks for asking!
Our home server is Infinity, which is also the location of my only 50. I seldom have problems being asked for teams, and since I solo perhaps more than I should I often give a polite "no". I'd also suggest Freedom and Virtue.
Hope that helps, and WB to the game! -

Quote:/qftenter the trials and the content (costumes, auras, etc.) now locked behind their merits. If you want this stuff, there is only one way to get it, and it is going to take a lot longer than 30 seconds. The player is left with one option of game-play-mechanic by which to get this new stuff: Play the trials. Suddenly, the player's experience has been diminished; to get what they want, they can no longer choose what avenue of game-play they wish to pursue. Thus, you have your "force."

Quote:I like the cut of your concept's jib, Chase.I'd support primary/secondary respecs IF:
- It started you back down at level one, but gave you a "bonus patrol xp" power (akin to the vet reward) with enough charges to roughly last up to the level you were when taking that power.
That way, it could be used for people that want to keep their badges while requiring the person to learn the new aspects of the power at an accelerated leveling rate.
Seriously, how many of you remember a few years back when Superman's powers went all energy based, then he was split into a Red and Blue Superman? Anyone? C'mon, let's get those hands up! Okay, you...you...a few of you. Great. That's good to see.
Yeah THAT'S the kind of thing that would be fun to play...like if my main went from Electrical Blaster to Electric Melee, or Electric Tank! 'Course I can *play* both Blasters and Tanks, though I'm a little better with the Tanks, and I'm finding myself not bad with Scrappers, and for a game that encourages alts I'm sure a lot of us can handle many ATs quite well.
But that would mean I'd have MANY sets and various Enhancements that just wouldn't work anymore, and if you want to go from "Class" to "Class", I think it should be treated as a complete rebuild of your character from Level 1.
'Course the argument against IMHO is that the only reason not to build a new but similar character (ex: My Tank "Superman" is now joined on Guardian by my Blaster "Electric Superman") is that you want to be able to keep "all your stuff". A valid point, to be sure, but with our account-wide Veterans Rewards and the new ease of transferring Inf without needing a third party negates much of that.
So yeah...Devs'll say no, playerbase will (likely) say collectively "no" as well. There's really no need, just make a new character and it becomes an RP issue at that point. -
Quote:Didn't mean to get all mushy there. Back to your original question...Pretty much.
But back to the point: It's just...something weird about his face that disturbs me. Not that it's a detriment to the game, it just looks weird. Kinda if Captain Picard had hair.
Um...I'm going with "he's constipated". -
Quote:Hi, Pacur! I'm GL. I will neither comment nor apologize for anything currently involving my namesake currently at the cinema.Hi! Im Pacur. I played from CoH beta to shortly after the release of CoV (played the beta there as well). Then life interfered and I was forced to quit. I came back a month ago, and have been loving it in here ever since. I was semi-infamous during my time for making rambling posts in the forums when I couldn't sleep. Maybe this is one of those, I dont know. You decide. Also, I like pie.
I've been playing since we moved to Atlanta post-Katrina from New Orleans. About a month and a half later the wife joined up as well ("You want your own account? Seriously??") but is currently elsewhere in the 'Worlds' Most Popular MMO. I say goofy things, agree a lot, and sometimes I'm actually funny.
Welcome back. Pie are good. -

Quote:My wife and I are right there with ya, Gale. Six years for us both, and while we didn't meet in-game we DID meet online. So good for ya there, too!Oh, that's right.
I've been subscribed for six years today.
I love this community, I love our Devs, and I even love arguing on the forums - it tells me there are plenty people who are passionate about the game, so it's still alive and kicking.
Here's hoping to many years more.
See you around the servers... -
I either want to call it "Cheapskate"...or, well someone upthread said "Pie". Pie is good, too.
Pie...mmmmm... -
I totally, platonically love you, Steelclaw.
...and I want my dadgum Dance Gun power. That is all. -
Quote:QFT! I'm still trying to get over the whole "DC Comics non-reboot/reboot" myself. Oy...Look at it this way, at least you didn't make a deal with the devil to alter reality so that you never lived in Galaxy to begin with.
That's right, DC Comics has made this nice Catholic boy Jewish. My mom will be so proud. -
Quote:My first character, and only 50, is a born-and-raised Galaxy City boy. This is gonna make Johnny Lightning sad...then angry.I hear they're also planning for voice acting. Sammy L Jackson will be voicing BAB's new dialogue, though it will result in the ESRB age rating to go from T to M.*
*M is for Manly
On another note: I am saddened they decided to just trash Galaxy City completely and use it for a new Tutorial Zone... I mean I have characters that live there in their RP life.
Then he's going to become Parallax.
Oh carp... -
Quote:Oh yeah. That. Yeah I'm REALLY unhappy about that. Seriously I thought that the Lois/Clark marriage was the smartest, most mature thing they'd done with the character in years. Now he's gonna get snuggly with Wonder Woman? Man, didn't John Byrne already show that was too obvious of an idea?
"OMD" indeed! -

Quote:Now THAT is the opinion of a trustworthy source. Thanks for tossing out your two cents.Saw it last night. DUG IT. Actually liked it better than Thor (3D was actually worth it in my opinion more than Thor's 3D)
*power-rings giant high-five for Sho*
BTW I was surprised when the wife said she wanted to see "Thor", and though I'm not the biggest fan of Marvel's version I certainly know about him and enjoyed the film overall, so I appreciate the comparison. You're also not the only person who's commented about the 3D being more impressive in "GL" than "Thor". -
Quote:*ahem*, BrandX.Still seeing it.
Havent read a review from a GL fan, but I wouldn't trust a GL fan to review the movie to save their lives as a lot of fan reviews end up like this "Doesn't follow the comic so it sucks" (paraphrasing of course).
Okay, I haven't seen it yet, but certainly SOME of us nerdy enough to have their own power batteries and rings (yes I do) are usually okay if they get the idea down right.
Organic vs Mechanical Web-Shooters? Who cares? Spider-Man shoots webs. If he shoots them organically, it gives him one more thing to need to control and potentially be embarrassed by. If they're mechanical, there's a greater option for drama when the mechanism jams up or the web fluid runs dry...and of course that's the way it was originally written...but it ALSO brings up the problem of why Peter Parker never became a scientist with 3M. A kid like that machining wrist mounted spritzers that create a solid elastic that dissolves in an hour? The kid would be a millionaire many times over.
Back to "Green Lantern". I can nitpick about how the lanterns and rings "don't look right" in the movie. They don't...it's not and never has been how they've been drawn in the comics or in any animation. Doesn't matter...they still got the idea across. Power batter + power ring = Green Lantern powers. Spider-Man "spins a web, any size. Catches thieves, just like flies." Both ideas still work.
Please accept this as a tounge-in-cheek "neener".
Aside from that, I'll freely admit I'll have a hard time removing my personal bias to give an objective review on the film overall. Rest assured, CoX faithful, that I WILL chime in. -

Just wanted to throw my .02 in.
I'm going with Tired Angel on a 9/10 rating for "Emerald Knights". I thought "First Flight" was a strong 8/10, but this was significantly cosmic enough that I caught myself blurting out "woooooow" at least twice. Krona was EPIC, y'all. Epic.
Most worthy, good voices, snappy stories, very well put together and a superb wrapup. Shine your light on this one and enjoy the reflection... -

Yeah I just watched it a few minutes ago. Verreh nahse! I, of course, admit to no bias whatsoever...
