THE PARAGONIAN KNIGHTS est. January 2005
The Knights are now looking for brave heroes of all levels, archetypes and experience. We are active in all aspects of the game and have been nominated by the players of City of Heroes across all servers as one of the Favorite Supergroups of 2006! The Knights pride themselves with having a mature and fun group with some of the most accomplished players in the game.
What we have to offer…
- Teaming at all hours: The Knights are lucky to have a extremely large player base of about 100+ players. Within those numbers are players from around the world and many different time zones. This opens up the opportunity for players to find teams at odd times. Not just any team, but highly effective and fun Knight Teams!
- Daily Task/Strike Forces and Trials: The Knights have a great staff of leadership that is constantly checking with the membership to see what special task forces need to be posted on the calendar. It is not unusual on a weekend to see a half dozen or more TFs run in a day. If you need a specific task force it is highly likely it will done. Many of the Knights have done these so many times they can be completed in record time and efficiency.
- Role-Playing: The Knights are in the process of starting back into role-playing with a new group named Young Chivalry. Modeled after such popular groups as Young Justice and the New Mutants, the YC is for young heroes in need of some mentoring and guidance in the ways of heroics. The group is open to all levels, archetypes and backgrounds. We can make it work. The group is led by Pawwn and is presently laying down the foundation for some great, dynamic RP.
- Maximum Efficency, Maximum Fun: The Knights have started up a new group called the Extremists. This group houses all our specialty event characters. Currently we are running a all Plant and/or Poison powerset team but future teams are already in discussion. Event groups meet once a week and play for about 2 hours. Task Forces are scheduled as the team levels up. To join this group you need only be interested in having fun!
- Beyond the Game: The Knights are much more than your average super group, they are a network of people from all walks of life…they are a community. To be a Knight is to be a member of a fellowship of people who carry on a virtual friendship that often times extends beyond the confines of the internet. The Knights have banded together to purchase commissioned artwork and produce in-game movies among other things. Many friendships have been built that will only increase well beyond City of Heroes
How to Apply…
To apply to be a Knight you need to first visit www.paragonianknights.com. Take the time to check out what all the site has to offer. Many of your questions about the Knights can be answered there. After you have decided that you indeed do want to be part of the Knights, click “Join Paragonian Knights” at the top of the screen and answer the couple short questions. This will set you up with a Guild Portal account. Finally, post an application on the forums using the format provided. Be as in-depth as you desire. After that is done one of the officers will post and provide you with contact info..

The Knights are all about fun and getting to know each other better. Alot of the Knights have been together since their early days with CoH and have built long lasting friendships.

Wasn't there a Dev event on Exalted last night? When I logged in there were Warwalkers all over AP.

Someone had grabbed my forum name on Exalted before I could. I sent them a tell and they told me they were grabbing it for me. I didn't even know them so that was pretty cool of them. They released it and I was able to get it for myself. I guess there are some kind people out there.

I love it as well. I also like the new music in Atlas Park. There also seems to be much more ambient noise as well.

I am a end-game RPer. Pretty much means the bulk of any RP I do is done after getting the character to level 50. I am all about what I can do at 50.

I am having the same issue. I can not get the launcher to run at all. I have to go to the .exe file to run it.

What would be really nice is something like:
"You rated Underdog versus the Martians 5 stars. People who liked Underdog versus the Martians also liked these story arcs: A, B, C"
....or something like:
"You added Farmer_Bob to your friends list. Underdog versus the Martians has a 3.73 star average among your friends."
....or even:
"You subscribed to Snooty_Reviewer's ratings feed. Snooty_Reviewer recently gave Underdog versus the Martians 2 stars with the comment 'Trite poodle exploitation arc'."
Anything like that would help users filter the AE arcs based on people with similar tastes -- if you like stories, it would help you find stories; if you like farms, it would help you find farms; if you like poodle exploitation, it would help you find poodles. Well, maybe not on the poodles. But you get the idea.
It would admittedly take some coding, though, so might be hard to secure developer resources for, since they all seem to be very focused on CoH Freedom and incarnate trials. But features of this type are pretty common and well-understood (many media sites already do stuff like this) so shouldn't be impossibly hard - and if someone were willing to implement them, I think it would improve the usefulness of the AE search tool a millionfold. -
I should have the right to rate any arc on the criteria that I want to rate it on. If I want to 5 star every farm because, in my opinion, that is 5 star content than I will. Likewise, I should have the right to 1 star someone's 6 mission long arc with so much text wall my eyes go cross-eyed.

I know some of the other posts used colors that are hard to read on the background and I had to highlight them. Blue and light purple come to mind.
