At least $100 on super packs alone, those bloody things are addicting. Probably another $100 or so for other things, and of course my subscription.
The thing I find interesting is that even though I'm more than willing to drop money on stuff in the market, I'm still very frugal about how I spend my points. If something is way expensive for what it is I really can't bring myself to spend money on it. -
This I support completely, and I don't support much very often.

Yep
We need to have the ability to solo TF's... then maybe I could actually run some, other than the ITF and LGTF...
Still all good though
I guess I wound't be spending too much time in RWZ anymore
[/ QUOTE ]
Sadly, this is exactly what I thought too. Some many TFs and Trials I just don't get to do because of the team restrictions -

the only drawback I can think of pertaining to this game is how Cryptic dropped the damn ball. For how long did they have like 8 people working on the game?
[/ QUOTE ]15 people

Well im just sayin' that is the only draw back from my point of view.
IMAGINE if they had a full staff... where our game would be now?

We it is now, only three years ago? -

I still have my doubts about the game, wether it's worth the money

The fact that there are still over 100K subscribers after FIVE YEARS should say something

Can we forget about this topic and all calm down?

Just PM a moderator and ask that it be deleted and it should be gone.... sometime early Monday. They don't work on the weekends, unless there's an emergency.

I know this is petty, but will doing that hurt my post count? -

Troll or no, he brought up a legitimate topic and has even engaged us in discussion about it.
disagreeing with his position doesn't make him a troll.

Why are you addressing me? I only asked The Player if that was what he was implying. If you want to confront someone then address the person that made the implication, not the person asking for clarification.

Sorry, I was quick replying (usually I'm better at marking that). I was actually replying to The-Player, who's post is above yours. -

Only read half the thread so I apologize if this has already been brought up.
I'm going to assume since you brought LotRO up that dropping $300 for a game is not only something you can afford, but something you desire to do.
If that's the case then get a 1 year sub, $143 if I recall. After 2 years you've spent $286. That's less than $300 and most people seem to take a 6-12 month break after playing for 2 years, if they come back at all.
With a lifetime subscription you aren't getting anything more real than a with a monthly subscription if the game goes belly up.
A lifetime sub is good for 2 things:
1. Screwing the Devs out of cash if you really really love this game (which if you really really love this game you don't want to do).
2. Letting you several years from now think to yourself, "Hey, I haven't played COH in years and I used to really enjoy it. I wonder what it's like these days." Then you go log on and play for a little bit until you find that at it's core the game hasn't changed. You get bored and go away until the cycle repeats.
But guess what, you can already do that. Two, sometimes three times a year they have reactivation weeks where people who had accounts get to play for a week, free. They'll email you about it no work on your part required.
So, in summary. Pay for 1 year subscriptions (you get to choose that when you set up your billing) and then after two years only play during reactivation weeks. Gives you everything a lifetime sub would with less cost and more control. -
The Devs have been hinting that they are working on a graphics update for some time, presumably tied to Going Rogue, but they have yet to confirm it (though they have come very close in one Positron interview).

Arc Name: Ambitions of Small Men
Arc ID: 24926
Morality: Heroic
Creator Global Name: @goldwalker
Factions: Hellions, Skulls, Custom
Difficulty Level: Moderate. Can be hard solo due to EBs. -
Arc Name: Alliance: Alien
Arc ID: 77277
Morality: Heroic
Creator: @Goldwalker
Length: Long (Though most of the missions are pretty quick)
Level Ranges: 30-54
Difficulty: Normal
Synopsis: The Rikti are kidnapping kheldians. They're up to something that should probably be stopped.
This arc feels to me like it needs polish somewhere, but I can't figure out where. So I would appreciate a review. -
Well, you've obviously hired a bunch of new folks now.
It's been a week or two already, why haven't we been introduced to them yet!?!
They need to meet their futurely adoring fans. -

What I find interesting is that CoH has the second highest number of reviews listed behind WoW -

Takes longer to do a Task Force? Here's a nice bonus you can't get anywhere else.
[/ QUOTE ]
Careful with that one, it sound innocent enough when phrased like that but be aware that a lot of players will rephrase it as:
"Want that ultra-important drop? Well cut a hole in your chair and put a bucket under it, cause the only way you're getting it is by completing an 8 hour task force."
I might suggest offering a greater quantity of drops rather than a unique drop. The activity DOES need to be rewarded, but you have to be careful in making activity A the only way to receive reward X.
That is, after all, why we have the Statesman Task Force coming up now, isn't it?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, but assuming you've got some people who will go along with it, a TF can be done an hour at a time over the course of a week. giving it a not unreasonably board accessiblity. Where as a story arc you either have access to or you don't. -

Even [1:1,000,000,000,000,000,000] is going to be infinitely better than no chance at all - even [0:2]. Always.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe I misunderstood but I thought that you did have a 1:1,000,000,000,000,000,000 chance of getting story arc awards from bad guys, it's just that story arcs give a guaranteed drop from the rare pool. -

Random suggestion via Quick Reply: Treat Mayhem/Safeguard mission completion the same as Plot Arc completion for Recipie/Salvage drops.
- Jock Tamson, Who is full of ideas.
[/ QUOTE ]
I suggest actually tying it to the safeguard/mayhem submissions, since the primary mission already gives a special reward itself. Since there are several sub missions per safeguard/mayhem I'd give each of them a reduced chance of dropping compared to story arcs (say a 1/3 chance or something). -
Wouldn't force control be a blend of kinetics and gravity?

Personally I think it's that the AT/Level system is the copout and the villians are benefitting from a less structured systems than we are.
BTW I don't consider this necro...it's still a perfectly valid topic. -
This falls right in line with my predictions for CoH. If everything holds true expect the CoP trial next week Weds. or Thurs.

Another favorite. Disorient after casting Adreniline Boost.
Those were the good old days, when the powers that sucked really sucked and the powers that were good turned you into a god. There wasn't any of this "non-standard but still effective" character builds. You could either handle everything yourself, or wallow in the muck of total ineffectivness. -

make it bound to 1 or 2% at the bottom, and possibly have a post accuracy floor of 5%. -
