Quote:I think we should ignore almost everything we know about the Praetorians from the old arcs we have right now - they show their world as rather beat up and run down, but the new version seems to be making everything look "perfect" on the outside. If that was your face, you'd look upset too.

I just hope they explain at some point how in heck this thing is any kind of Clockwork. No Clockwork I've ever seen, Praetorian or otherwise, looks like that. Maybe the marketing team for GR messed up, thinking that Praetorian Clockwork didn't already exist?
Apart from Tyrant's throneroom, there are no unique Praetorian maps - so the current vibe Praetoria gives off is of an identical world to our one, but with villains as the main force instead of heroes - and that's increased by the use of normal Paragon citizens for Mother Mayhem's follows, and reskinned clockwork and so on - which works fine for the current concept of Praetoria.
But now it seems like the devs have decided to give Praetoria a totally new look and feel - they even mentioned that they've been working out what events from real history would have been changed or even never happened in the Praetorian timeline - so rather than just making everything a mirror, with the only noticable difference being heroes as villains, they look like they're going for a deeper and more complex alternative Earth idea. -
Quote:I think it fits in with the smooth, futuristic "utopia" feel they seem to be going with for Praetoria. It's already been hinted that the gloves can be used because during i16 Beta some people had access to them on Huge characters.
I would absolutely LOVE the body.
While I like the overall character design, it doesn't seem Clockwork enough for me.
So rusty old clockwork in our world = sleek and gleaming robots in the mirror world

In the AE it is affecting others - that's why the devs have moved to cut down the AE farming, but made it easier to farm elsewhere.

Quote:Like Tuskens at a pod-race?I think it would be cute if, during the winter ski event, a sniper (like the ones from PI or Founders Falls) would get up high and start tagging people. Not all the time but maybe once every 5-10 minutes.

"I'm gonna make it ... I'm gonna beat my time ...." *BLAM!* Not this time!

I think they might do another name purge just before GR goes live.

Quote:I think they look really cool - but I'd like to see a side view of the head to see if he really looks as upset as he does form the frontHave to say, I'm a little disappointed that these alternate Clockwork look more generic than Prime Clockwork. Now it's just a cyborg dude.

I only got 5 - but I already a lot

A no buffs option would be awesome - I don't like Speed Boost - it makes me run into walls - and that ice armor stuff is just plain ugly
-
I removed all Regen fx, and changed MoG to gold and white, as well as making my MA atatcks less red, and more invisible looking
I did add some more flashiness to another costume slot, but my main one is now much more toned down.

Less of the dead horses talk please

A good one I can think of is Shadowhunter is weakened if you fight him in the water

I think it'd be better if it wasn't brought up again - there's still some confusion about what exactly happened, what was said and so on - he's moved on, and is hopefully doing very well and having fun at whatever job he moved to.

Have you contacted Customer Support about it?
Or if it's not an account problem, have you checked to see if your firewall is set to allow the new updater? -
I think it's important to recognize that the devs aren't anti-farming - they're just anti-farming in the AE, because it has a major impact on non-farming players.
Like pre AE, they never put a minimum entry level of 40 on PI, no matter how many people were being PLed there.
They tweaked Family and Demon xp a bit, and added a timer to the Dreck misison, but the basic ability for a low level to go to PI and be PLed was always left open, because it didn't really affect other players, but the AE was being badly affected by farm missions, and farming there was having a way bigger impact on non-farmers and the game in general than the old style PI farming ever had.
Issue I16 actually contains some good stuff for farmers - the new difficulty settings will make it easier and faster for them, with no need for fillers anymore, so I think I16 is more an attempt to balance the needs of farmers and non-farmers, rather than an attempt to just nerf farmers. -
I head that the BTF crashed a couple of times in the last mission since the patch - so maybe there's some bug with it right now?

Quote:There's a new section for promts - it should be listed there now.I like the cleaned up options menu. However, I haven't been able to locate the option to Prompt for Teleports - it used to be listed right near the top of the other prompt options. Perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong place? I really prefer to have the prompt on, I've teamed with too many people who think it's funny to randomly teleport team mates around. (Or worse, they think it's funny to drop Blasters into a big pack of critters once in a while.)

Quote:Not sure about that - but the way they cap in the zones at least helps newer players see more of the cityYes, because grinding radio missions is so much more moral and upstanding.

EDIT: Although, with you being able to get xp from being an exemplar, I guess you could hit 50 just doing radio misisons in Kings Row
