Quote:That's happened before - it seems that as long as you had the newsletter box checked, you were open for possible invites, even if the mail never got to you - but if you un-checked it, then you'd be permanently removed from the list of potential beta testers.I get the newsletters, but did not get a closed beta invite email. I did suddenly see the closed beta forums one day and, surprise, I could log in to the beta server. Checked spam folders and there was nothing there.
You might be in closed beta, but not get an email about it.
I had the newsletter box checked until GR launched, and I never got an invite for two of the previous closed betas - I just saw the closed section of the forums appear one day. -
I just assumed that they were rotating the players they invited - like I never thought that I had any divine right to be invited
-
I'd also been in all the closed betas except this one - and I'd updated my profile info afeter GR came out, so I must have un-checked the newsletter box then too.
EDIT: From what I was told in chat, it does sound like re-accepting the newsletter isn't enough - a red name actually has to flag your account as open to possible future invites again - like un-checking the newsletter box is auto-recognized, but not the re-checking. -
I'm sure he'll be surprised to discover that he's left when he's still working on the Incarnate system
-
I've just found out via the beta chat channel that if you've disabled receiving the NCSoft newsletter on your master account profile, you'll never be eligible for a closed beta invite ever again.
I'm not sure if turning the newsletter back on is enough or not, or if it needs a red name to get you back to being available for possible invites in the future, but for anyone who doesn't have the newsletter turned on, you should go to your master account right away, and edit your contact information to accept the newsletter. -
This BAF raid can be played from both sides, just like 2 of the 3 new Praetorian zone events - so you can also do it as a loyalist trying to stop the breakout.
-
I got 18 - and I spent the last 2 minutes of it trying to remember the name of the Croatoa Issue

Quote:A Zig raid could be doifferent from the BAF raid - for example, it could invovle an Arachnos Flyer, like the one that's on the Breakout map - and maybe some signatue Arachnos AVs too, along with some unique Villains who are being broken out.The Zig would be a perfect setting for a raid! It's big enough. with the BAF getting a raid style, it would be pointless to have one on primal earth.
They could even have a red side version using an instanced raid map of the whole Zig area, where the object could be to break out your fellow villains. -
Quote:I'm just going by how often Resistance members seem certain they'll escape even when they're capturedI'd suggest that if the BAF requires raid-level amounts of Incarnate characters to pull off a successful breakout, you wouldn't be going anywhere any time soon. And it certainly is doing better than the Zig. Or is there an area of Praetoria I missed that just has BAF inmates walking freely around in the streets outside the facility, doing whatever they please?

Plus, the new Maria Jenkins arc has shown that the BAF can't hold an Incarnate prisoner
-
Actually, I'd say that the Maria Jenkins arc is easier now - for most of the boss fights you get a Freedom Phalanx helper - like before, you'd go up against Marauder alone - but now Positron comes along to help - plus Statesman helps on two of the missions, and Manticore helps you on the last mission to rescue Statesman - so while the mobs have become slightly harder, the boss fights have become a lot easier, so overall, I think her arc is easier now than before.

And here's an interview with War Witch in the NYP:

Quote:That's correct - but then there's the problem of what to do with your new Incarnate powers if you don't want to take part in TFs or raidsActually as far as we know right now, Incarnate shards will drop from solo content and can be used to craft the special salvage required to craft the Alpha slot powers, so TFs may not be absolutely necessary. If this is in fact the case, the entire system of becoming an Incarnate can be soloed, albeit very slowly.

-
I'd escape pretty eaisly - the BAF seems to be as easy-going security-wise as the Zig
-
I think this sounds like a much more casual-friendly type of Mo badges.
-
-
I can't remember if I still have that one either
-
I can't wait to see what the BAF raid is like - it sounds awesome
-
Unfortunately, I deleted the beta client after GR went live, so now I have to wait a couple of hours to actually get on and see all the new stuff
