I was hoping they were going to explore those mountains that are under the ice - they're like several thousand feet high, but totally hidden.

Quote:They might make the all the slots and the 1st and 2nd Tiers for them be like the Alpha slot, but then have Tier 3 and 4 be more team focused. The speculation that the devs will give us solo content is no more valid than my opinion that they will not, and will continue to make content that requires higher and higher teirs of incarnate ability.
So there might be a normal arc to unlock the Judgement slot in I20, but the salvage for Tier 3 and 4 of it would be gotten from the Incarnate trials. -
There should be a party boat that cruises around Talos Island.

Quote:Heroes are supposed to fight drugs, not use themThe WST is end game content. The vanguard pack is to keep us paying while the team enjoys the rewards and some quality of life moments from building a very nice game before they go to their next jobs. This is why the changes in the last few months. I'd be surprised if we get any new content before Summer. The WST isn't ill-conceived from the Dev perspective.

The tutorial is like only 5 minutes long - once it's done, log out, and then log in again and make a Hero or Villain

I thought this thread was about Avatea being the strike target of the week?

It could be a Mender Silos plot.

Quote:I think they might be saving the watery animal stuff for another pack - possibly linked to some underwater contentyou know, i don't even have a cat/bull/bird/am happy with my wolf character, but the amount of stuff we already hav seen is really nice. beast run really is great, my only hope now is that we get some fish fins, that would make this a slam dunk from orbit for me.

Quote:That was changed - on Tuesday, they listed the ITF as the next WST, but now it's going to be ReichsmanI'm a bit confused.
ITF? But according to Avatea..
..next week we're beating up on Reichsman, not Rommie. And the ITF isn't for the two following weeks, either.

I don't remember seeing the words "magic" or "gods" anywhere during Ramiel's arc - the nearest is in the cutscene, where it says Incarnates are "godlike beings" - but it then says that "Links to the Well appear throughout the universe, choosing the most powerful. It has many names and many forms." - it's just presented as a vague cosmic power source, not as something that's magical.

The voodoo vibe of New Orleans makes it quite a good match for Praetoria City.

Quote:The rewards are for anyone subbed from February 1st through April 18th 2011I don't get why the 7 year reward is only for those who started in the first two and half months. I got the game as soon as I heard about it started in May, and have never stopped since. It seems that the 7 Year reward should go out to everyone who has played since the first year. I can understand not getting the reward until you hit your 7th year mark. I have seen many come and go in my time playing, and there are not that many of us who have been here since year one. I feel a bit slighted because I am missing this reward by a few weeks. Sorry I live in a small town, where you don't always get new releases on day one. Well that is my grip.

Quote:Actually, they've made a point of distancing the Incarnate system from the original idea of it being the power of the gods - it's now just an undefined source of power, and it doesn't have to be a a magical/fantasy source of pwoer at all.Meh... at this point I generally ignore CoH lore for most of my characters, so the Incarnate stuff is just another game mechanic. For three of my four 50s I completely ignore the whole "Well of Souls" nonsense because it doesn't fit their backstories at all. They aren't Fantasy characters, so magical mumbo-jumbo is irrelevant to their concepts. So basically the Incarnate bonus is just them getting better at their jobs.
I loathe that I have to do that, because I'd much rather have the stories be vague enough to let us choose how they apply to our characters. -
