The Apex and Tin Mage TFs reward Threads at the end, and Shards can be converted into Threads too, and Shards now drop from under-50s too - so you can work towards the new slots by soloing or teaming in any of the non-Incarnate content.

The Hamidon raid could be repurposed as an Incarnate Trial too.

Any screenshot of this? It's on the wrong side of the law for me to see it in the game

Quote:I find that completing a Trial gives the kind of rush that only a massive pre-I13 PvP zone brawl had been able to offer before.I ran several BAFs last night, most of them failed with me being frustrated at the end. The one that was a win was the most epic satification feeling at the end. That trail was 3 full teams.
Having a set leader and people willing to follow makes all the difference in the world.
Have yet to try Lambda -

I got 53% of the Interface slot open in my first Lambda run - we trashed almost everything on the map - and the second run got another 45% of the slot open.

There'll be new rewards of some kind for the new Trials.

I love the new endgame system - it's new, but also quite familiar - it's normal CoH from a slightly different angle.

Quote:The Romans aren't empowered by the Well either.Except the Romans have base level accuracy and don't spam AoEs like they are going outta fashion, meaning that, while Rommy might get heal buffs off pets, they are still alive to be throwing damage right back in his face at all times.
Romans also don't come +4 as standard, with whole mobs being made of rediculously powerful, AoE spamming Bosses that ca- Ok, no, not true there. Praefects CAN one/two shot me still. But they also obey normal acc laws, making it a lot less likely, whereas Commanders just run up and BAM. Down. -

The devs plan to add a one or more Trials in each new Issue.

Quote:No, they're the same - you get Incarnate Threads for the Trials, and Incarnate Shards for the non-Trial 50 content. So from what I am reading, it sounds as though the post-Alpha slots will be a whole lot easier to build up than the Alpha slot itself, which uses shards (assuming they did not increase the drop rate, still tedious to get) and tfotw *successes*. Whereas new slots can be geared up even with repeated iTrial *failures*.
Like if you fail the ITF, you still get Shards along the way, you just miss out on the reward bonus at the end - if you fail Lambda or the BAF, you still get Threads along the way, but you miss out on the reward bonus ta the end. -
I'll be interested to see if the Anti-Matter Trial and the Hamdion Trial are going to be deigned with the idea that most people running them will have some of the new slots - or if they're going to be designed as another way of getting the 4 new slots.

The old ones were nice, but Ultra Mode made them look outdated - the new ones give a better impression of the graphics now.

Do you all have a better idea of how the Trials work now?
