This is What I've been talking about!!!!!

Alright so for a while now I've been saying that the Instances and maps in CoX need to have more windows, even windows looking into fake vistas to make the maps feel more open and less claustrophobic. I even suggested it at Hero Con 1 to one of the panels.

The AE buildings sort of got what I was looking for, since you can see out of them etc, but I wanted it more for instances etc.

Now finally it's happened, in the Mortimer Kal SF when you go to Prometheus in his office you are treated to a giant window over looking TI! A window, in an instance, brilliant! Why didn't I think of... No wait, I did.

Still looks great, got a number of comments from my team mates and a giant hooray from me, more like this in future maps please!

There are windows like that in Praetoria, too. In the office where you find Provost Marchand (I think?) - same interior map as the mission you're talking about.

This is a great trend away from the City of Claustrophobia factor that comes with all the original maps of windowless offices, warehouses, bases, etc. I'd love to see more of this incorporated retroactively into existing content, along with fixed-door missions.

I ran this last night also and it was very nice to see a window over looking Talos. I even stood around a few minutes looking out of it thinking how great it was.

Mortimer Kal SF turned out to be a very fun run that I will do again. I haven't run the new hero one yet, but I hope it is just as good.

Devs hate heroes. No windows for you.

I've been saying for years that we should have windows in bases so we can place them wherever we like. I want one of my guys to have a penthouse in Founders, so a nice big picture window of that area would be awesome. I want another one to have a space station or spaceship, so a window looking down on the Earth would be amazing. Another wants an underwater base. And so on. All it needs is to use the window tech already in the game and a nice variety of backgrounds to put behind them. (Each zone plus the other things I mentioned. Plus stuff like the inside of a volcano.)

I mean, c'mon, Doom had windows 17 years ago!

I'd like more contacts to actually be inside, like some of the safeguard detectives - Tina Macintyre could be in her office at Portal Corp, and Maria Jenkins could be in her apartment overlooking Poseidon Square, for example.

I just want people in Portal Corp period. That place is completely empty.

Moar NPCs.

I would love to a re-working of where NPCs are located... Fort Trident is a good start... Kinda...

I want to contact someone in a base, building or their office.... their house... other than just always being somebody standing around somewhere...

No one goes there anymore, it's too crowded...

I agree with Gr33n and GG: NPCs in realistic settings would be cool.
