Hey gang,
Looking for advice on my reroll of a long standing Halloween themed character. He's a lanky guy normally, invested with the power of Samhain and can change his image into classic Halloween monsters such as a ghost, werewolf, vampire, Frankenstein's monster, a mummy, etc.
Before he was Necro/Dark MM but since we'll very likely never get customization to change fantasy based undead into modern undead, the concept just never meshed with the power.
My thoughts on new powersets so far are:
Thugs/Dark MM
Dark/Dark Blaster
Dark/Mental Blaster (for the concept of feeding on people's psychic terror to power his abilities)
Fire/Dark Blaster (magical jack o lantern flames?)
Dark/Dark Stalker
Dark/Dark Brute
Mix in any with Fire as a primary for magical lantern flames (fire/dark stalker, fire/dark brute)
Fire/Dark or Dark/Dark Corruptor
So as you can see, definitely want dark but not sure if I should incorporate any melee into it due to the Werewolf and Frankenstein's Monster brutish forms. Originally I just tried to use builds that has Air Superiority and a Super Jump travel power for those "forms" he took - although I could get away with Beast Run for free for the Werewolf at least.
Thanks for any tips/advice! -
I come once again for aid from my Virtue peeps!
After many years of having my Halloween character, Mister Halloween, as a Necro/Dark MM and always contemplating on what to remake him as, the time has come. Primarily because I finally got an eye aura that plays well with Mister Halloween's look. I've always held off on updating his look because for MALES only, the Skull belts are removed from the Jacket options and the skull belt buckle look is a signature style of his. The eye aura trumped it though so now I'm going to reroll him.
Here is his old look:

And his new look:
He takes on the forms of a ghost, werewolf, vampire, Frankenstein's monster, a mummy and various other classic Halloween costumes.
My issue (other than the missing skull belt!) is that I can't decide which powerset to use and was looking for some advice from you guys on what you'd think would fit the various looks and the overall concept.

Tunnel Rat, I just wanted to say thank you for the Volcanic aura. It is PERFECT for my Mister Halloween and finally addresses my long standing issue with most eye auras not playing nicely with hats. Thank you! ♥

I'd like to see the High Collar added and of course the Hat, big gloves, cape and belt. I understand the long skirt may have excessive clipping but I think we're at the point where we can handle it.
-
I heard about the high collar in game but didn't see it. I at first thought the person was talking about the normal High Collar from the Magic set. Did we get the CoT High Collar?
Edit - looks like no, we didn't.
Therefore:

Being bumped down to level 20 was my only complaint with the mission. Everything else was great!

Sadly King and Bishop are blocked. A couple of the others may be too. =/

I ended up only getting one name from my home server and that was Goblin Queen. I forcefully made myself not get the others. I figure I'll keep Virtue home and come here for vacations since I did get a bunch of names I always wanted on Virtue. I started off with getting some names from my characters on CO and then went down a list of names I've always tried for in the years past.
There are two long lists, one of the names I got and one for the names I didn't get. I'd probably trade names from one list to another since the second list had some big wishlist names of mine.

Yay, I can finally log into the forums!
I missed out on:
Penny Dreadful
Druid
Fiend
Medusa
Voodoo
Out of the above, I realllly want Penny Dreadful and Voodoo. There were a lot more I tried but those stick out right now. -
Happy Independence Day! Here is my next installation in the Goblin Queen Holidays from Avionetca!
In this scene I twisted Independence Day to be the Unseelie Court rising up against the Seelie Court in what is normally their time of the year. Goblins capture and torture various Seelie folk - playing horseshoes on a gnome, using pixies as fireworks and of course having a cookout with tasty brownies and faeries. Unfortunately a couple aspects are missing in this piece but ultimately it came out very well in the end!
You definitely need to visit the page and then download the image to be able to see all the fine details. -
Oh wow. I just checked on Test and it's really that bad. It's NOT like this on Live. Hope it gets fixed soon!
Quote:Yes, please! For some reason I read the patch notes and thought it meant this but was clearly wrong. I'd love it if we could also have all three - the entire thing, the frills without the cameo and the cameo and choker without the frills.Shameless begging: Any chance for a Victorian Collar that's *just* the cameo and the thin band it's attached to? -
-
Oh my. That picture..
-
I suppose I said this in another thread but I'll respond to each thread like this I see, just to show my support of the hybrid model: I'm staying on Virtue, I welcome the influx of players, we (as a game) need new blood. I will have my names on VIP if I can get them so I can play with friends there or in case I'm wrong and flee in terror from the riffraff.
-
If you're crazy then save some room for me in the padded cell. I 100 percent believe this is the best thing for the game at this time. I'm very excited about all of it.
-
I'd love to see Titan weapons get Guitar Axes - if we can't get that skin in Battle Axe.
-
Quote:I said it when it was being tested - I'd love a clock belt for Male/Huge sans the frilly thing on the bum.I was away form the forums the other day... Did I miss anything?
If Males are not given the time-piece belt (or belt buckle) before or with Issue 21...
I am going to use Time Manipulation to go back and change the Design Docs for the Steampunk Pack to include that belt buckle for Males and Huge character models. -
Virtue. But I'm getting my names on VIP (as many as I can) just in case.
-
They're all great but that last one has quite the wow factor. I love it!
