Don't really get too into birthdays any more but do go to a great steak place with my mom and brother and have a really nice dinner. It was actually my mother's birthday as well (Yep, born on mom's bday - I am god's gift to women!) so we got to celebrate 2 for 1 No cake but I did get an ice cream pie earlier in the week... I guess that kind of counts?

It was going to be a one-up of last years but I've lacked the time to finish it
these last few days so it's just a half drawn pencil sketch atm.
This is an odd trend lately people are guessing (whether they know it or not) what I'm working on before I even say a peep.
Someone already guessed the basic idea I'm using for my FArt entry too... sup wit dat! lol
P.S. Can't speak for FoxRox but I found traditional style pizza in Italy to be nothing at all like what it is here in the states.
No cheese baked into the crust, no choice of a bazillion toppings etc etc those are decidedly American variations.
Their traditional pizza is very plain by comparison, but still tasty in it's own way.
It's amazing, there is an unlimited supply of time and yet we never seem to have enough of it. But no worries man, I already got one totally unexpected birthday art, I certainly can't be greedy and demand more... (or can I???? mwuahahahahha)
As for guessing your intentions... Well I don't know about your fART entry, but a hottie jumping out of a cake? No offense, but it's hardly all that original Classic and iconic, sure... nut not original (Now, if you had gone the reverse route and planned on having Gorm jumping into the cake, and I had guessed that... Well, that would be eerie!)
Seriously though, not knowing all the particulars, I would suspect it's more a case of you spotting the comments that come close rather than a surge of people guessing the unknown.
And as for the Italian Pizza... Yeah, I was just being silly. I really hope she's been trying more native foods rather than checking out every pizza place in the area!
Yeah it's the whole deadlines thing that throws a wrench into the works for me.
Sometimes it seems I have all the time in the world (never lasts lol) and other times it's like I don't have 5 minutes to myself. I can throw up the wip of it so far but yeah it wasn't gonna get done in time... It'll be a neat trick if I get the time I want to do justice to my FArt piece this month (edit: blah blah stuff going on in RL blah blah). 
True it's not original but it is funny that I've done dozens of give away arts, many for birthdays, and I've not thought of doing a cake jump (partially because it's such a cliche) but the one time I think to do it anyway it comes up in the birthday thread lol.
The FArt one was just like "YES! I have a clever idea for this theme that no one's gonna see coming!" Of course it got posted as an offhand comment shortly thereafter. There's like 78 cards in a tarot deck! What were the odds lol. 
(I have since put a different, and I hope, unique spin on the idea that I like even better so hopefully that pans out)
Then there was my brilliant (I thought) idea of doing Airhead as Rodan's "The Thinker" sitting on an activated Rikti bomb. I finished the roughs and got started on the final piece just in time to see the finished Airhead as "The Thinker" by Rhardo get posted.
Okay I'm rambling now (it's been a long day/week/month) and it's not even my thread.
It probably is just me.

P.S. There is only one native food one need concern oneself with when in Italy... Gelato!
