  1. I have a love/hate relationship with this idea.

On the one hand, I could finally make an homage to one of my favorite looking characters, Backlash!
    http://www.comicvine.com/backlash/29-25978/

On the other hand, I have been leveling a toon that is an homage to him the last couple of weeks. Had to settle for vanguard claws and tinted them purple.

Possibly not, as it wouldn't work for Claws. You'd need two chainsaws.

    Which would be doubly awesome.

Thank you. I can now ie happy.

    Claws/Invuln

Happened to peruse the forums looking for any info on my new toon, and lookie what I found!

Luckily I don't have to start a new thread.

    One question though.

It looks like eviscerate is skipped. Is it not needed? Same for eviscerate.
  4. I freely admit to never actually hearing this song before. There was something familiar about it though. Awesome song to.

Ok, this is why it sounded a little familiar.

  5. Look for Succubus Kali. It's pretty much unkillable. It is a scrapper build, and uses the fire epic, but should be easy to translate into a brute build.

I made a similar build with mine, but taking Soul mastery instead, for thematic reasons.

So much that he did so well, but I don't know if anyone could play the drunk as hilariously as he could.
I enjoyed seeing him in that MASH reunion special that was put together a few years ago. I knew he had to be up there. He certainly still had his wit! And you could see how highly everyone there thought of him.

Can't forget his Dragnet days either!

Anyway, I just loved how he could flip from the humor to the drama so well.

I'm trying to find this little speech/soliloquy that he had on MASH that hits home every time I see it... Damn you, youtube...

    Thank you, Harry Morgan!!
    Would that be this?

I know as a Medic in a time of war, I myself have felt the same way at times.

    Well played sir, well played.
  8. What does this have to do with Hero and Villain culture?
  9. I finally have time to play a little while again.

I decided to go woth Dm/Inv/Soul, so I could have an AoE. Anyone see any glaring weaknesses that can be adjusted?

    But...but...but...

Dammit, the reason Cain didn't stay good was because Cytorrak was limiting his power because he wasn't being an engine of destruction.
  11. Wait a sec! When did Colossus become Juggernaut?!?!
  12. Maybe this will help give you some ideas.
I went for the darkness pool for some thematic AoE, and I hate shadow maul.

I 6 slotted Gaussians because many of the bonuses for that set hit points, dmg buff, Recovery and def all would seem beneficial. What would you suggest instead I would like to keep build up though.
+Dmg on a brute has minimal benefit because of the melee damage modifiers and fury. I can't explain the math, but it has been done and approved by the math geeks on the forums. (No offense).

    For /WP slot for +def, then +Hp.
  14. Personally I go with the 4 Kin Combats, the makos bite quad and a standard heal IO.

    Gives me
    Acc 41.49
    End 59.84
    Heal 42.4
    Rech 59.84
    Dam 95.86

Which equals to a 14% heal every 3.59 seconds.

With spiritual core paragon for the alpha slot it goes up to 17.94% heal every 3.09 seconds.

That's with hasten and a few LotGs on my Dm/Inv brute.
  15. At one point in time SL was used mainly as a heal, but since DM got buffed, it is actually one of the harder hitting powers in the set. Conventional wisdom says to slot as damage, with the added bonus of a heal.
  16. Have an idea for a toon that is a skull/former skull(Not sure which yet)
As I plan this toon, this concept, I keep asking myself which secondary would be best?

So, which would you say?? /Sr, /Inv, or /WP?
  17. Single Target Warlord? I'd say go Dark Melee.

Perhaps he channels the power of the souls that he has crushed?
  18. I frickin love YJ!!

So, since everyone was calling Conner Superman, does that mean that M'gann believes that he will one day fill those shoes?

Raphael is my favorite. Always has been.

Also Raphael doesn't stir up crap... Leonardo has been chosen to be leader, but Raphael almost always knows what to do, what the others should be doing, and is the most skilled out of the 4. He also places doing what's right and what's the best for the team and such above his own good where as Leonardo doesn't and is more about charisma and wanting everyone to get along and doing what he's told.

I would consider it more like 2 axis with Leo and Raph representing seriousness towards getting important things done and Mikey and Donnie representing seriousness towards hobbies... more or less Fun and Work. Perhaps with a 3rd axis on Socializing... Raph is on the far solo end of that social spectra followed by donnie... then Leo and then on the far group end is Mikey.

That is perhaps why Raph and Mikey get along the best and Raph and Leo want to beat the snot out of each other.
    I like Raph alot to.

He still couldn't beat Wolvie though.
  20. It scales with health, so as you lose health, the resistance increases. The lower your health, the higher the res. This is taken from a post by Arcanaville. She knows all!

    The SR Passive Resistances

Each SR passive defense power also has an unenhancable scaling resistance to all but toxic and psi damage. This resistance starts to kick in when the scrapper is at 60% health, and slowly increases as the scrapper's health decreases. Mathematically, each resistance power offers:

    (60% - HealthPercentage) / 3

resistance. They stack, so all three passives combined offer a total of (60% - HealthPercentage) total resistance (to all but toxic/psi).

Because of how they work, it isn't easy to assign a fixed resistance value to them: they can sometimes act as zero resistance (a hit for more than 60% of total health is theoretically capable of defeating the scrapper without ever experiencing any of the resistive value of the passives). They can, under the right circumstances, act like 50% resistance or more, constantly. For the purposes of this comparison, we will assume (unless otherwise specified) that the resistances have a minimum benefit of about 10% resistance, and the maximum benefit is about 24% resistance. A full explanation for why will be the subject of a separate analysis.
  21. Spiders. Creepiest thing ever in my opinion. I once had a dream about spiders while I was sleeping on the floor. I woke up in mid air. Apparently I had pushed myself off of the ground. Mind you I was over 220 Lbs. at this point as well. My wife is the spider killer in the house.

Same here. Though some of the manuevers the pilots had to perform while flying into Iraq made me nervous as hell.
  22. Gobbledygook

    Speeding Stoner.

I believe it was by a poster named Nericus. Check the guides section if you haven't already.

Here it is, found it for ya!

The issue with this is that during long animations you actually give mobs a pretty good openning to wail on you without neutralizing the target you were after to begin with. (At least until the damage is dealt)

The other thing about this that I haven't been liking is that on teams, since KM damage is dealt at the end of the animation, is that targets tend to be dead before I get my attacks off. Really annoying as a scrapper when my concentrated strike swings at a dead target....means I don't get a chance to crit and refresh my power siphon.

KM is fun and interesting as a set, but it feels slow and cumbersome in teams.
Oddly enough, this is the exact same reason that most folks don't play /EM anymore. Sucks to hit a dead target.
  25. How is this on a scrapper? I have a claws/sr scrapper at 50, and a ss/inv br00t at 50. Lately alot more of my toons have been brutes than scrappers, though I do love both.
