Please critique my DM/WP brute

This is my first try on planning a brute. I like WP or at least the idea of insane regen outpacing dmg. So please any advise is appreciated. The reason I went DM is it supplies a heal kind of in Siphon Life to go along with the regen.

Still a little help would be nice. Also to add to this what about Incarnate powers at least for the alpha. Musculature for the dmg? Does Vigor work on healing from regen? Or Spiritual for the faster recharge?

Regen Tissue Proc is a waste, it'll get drowned out.

Slot SL as an attack first, and then for healing. Use as often as possible.

Slot as many sets of Kin Combat as you can afford/are comfortable with.

Gaussian's is *** for Willpower, it gives 1.25% Defense vs all types for 6 slots? Pass.

Don't slot for Fire/Cold Def set bonuses... they'll be covered by your S/L Def and your Regen generally (few pure Fire/Cold attacks in game).

Sorry I am still new so why would you slot Siphon Life for damage instead of for heal since thats its main function?
I 6 slotted Gaussians because many of the bonuses for that set hit points, dmg buff, Recovery and def all would seem beneficial. What would you suggest instead I would like to keep build up though.

At one point in time SL was used mainly as a heal, but since DM got buffed, it is actually one of the harder hitting powers in the set. Conventional wisdom says to slot as damage, with the added bonus of a heal.


Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?

so maybe 4 slot kinetic combat into siphon with 2 heals.

Personally I go with the 4 Kin Combats, the makos bite quad and a standard heal IO.

Gives me
Acc 41.49
End 59.84
Heal 42.4
Rech 59.84
Dam 95.86

Which equals to a 14% heal every 3.59 seconds.

With spiritual core paragon for the alpha slot it goes up to 17.94% heal every 3.09 seconds.



That's with hasten and a few LotGs on my Dm/Inv brute.


Willpower has more passive regen than Regen does. Who thought that was a good idea?

Can we get a fix for Energy Melee instead of more new sets?

+Dmg on a brute has minimal benefit because of the melee damage modifiers and fury. I can't explain the math, but it has been done and approved by the math geeks on the forums. (No offense).

For /WP slot for +def, then +Hp.
