  1. But one of the webpages says "Split 30 days between you and a friend" and the email (or vice-versa) says "Split 60 days between you and a friend."

Also, one of them says to enter the Invite back code first, the other says enter your payment information or serial key to renew the account first.

Ana and I had this problem when we purchased Going Rogue. Invalid and conflicting information had her put the GR serial key in first, thus invalidating the Invite a Friend back key.

Really? My Scrappers are built to defeat mobs before they can get close to hurting my friends. Even the Scrappers I have without a Taunt aura. Those that do have a Taunt aura are even better at that.
  3. I'll probably watch it. Maybe they should bring back Samuel L. Jackson as Zeus, Bruce and Sam are always a good pairing on screen.
  4. Don't know if anyone else has seen this, but

So there seems to be a good chance (no pun intended) for Season 3.

And the new showrunner is Matt Miller. Posi, are you keeping secrets from us?

Songs about me and Honkytonk babonkadonk are both Trace Adkins Songs, Alan has had a long Fabled career of Great music.

Which I already admitted was my mistake in making, but they do sound somewhat alike, at least to me.

My mistake, but it proves my point on the sound. I like different artists with different sounds, not artists who were put on a label because they sound like someone else.

And I'd probably like country a lot more if they got rid of the nasal-whiny vocalists.

The first is the venerable Marvel Super Heroes from the now-defunct TSR (now Wizards of the Coast). One chart that handles everything in the game, and it handles every power level from Aunt May to the Beyonder. All percentile based and it scales beautifully. For pure super-heroey stuff, this is your game.

The second is White Wolf's Aberrant game, which has no connection to the World of Darkness, allows you to put huge amounts of customisation into your powers, and runs off a success-based system. And any game that has advanced rules where you can eventually going around making whole galaxies and lifeforms is pretty cool... Be warned, though...this is a R-rated game with everything that implies. But I've seen DC and Marvel heroes converted over with ease. Give it a look.

So many nights at high school and college playing MSH. It was awesome.

Maybe we should petition WotC to re-release it.
  8. Ana and I love Supernatural. It's one of my favorite shows of all time.

I don't know if I'd actually watch an anime redoing of the episodes I've already seen or not, but it is an interesting idea.

Of course, it may just take me seeing the first episode to want to watch it all.

It's just not appealing to me.

I used to love the X-Men and all the associated titles. I collected them from the late 70's to the late 90's, and what I see in the screencap and the trailer doesn't, for lack of a better term, hit my nostalgia button.

I admit, as was said, that movies are their own continuity, but this film screams "blatant exploitation" and not "We love this franchise and want to see it succeed."

Then again, I've been on a Western kick lately, so I'm more stoked for 'Cowboys & Aliens' than I am another lackluster attempt at an X-Men film.
  11. That's basically what we did.

We got the base CoH editions of the game. Then bought the GvE editions, followed with the Mac Pack, then the Architect editions, and after months of game time here and there, got GR.

Also, I don't see the Mac Edition anywhere on the store either anymore, but I do see the "City of Heroes® Mac Special Edition In-Game Item Pack" for $9.99.

It's a shame they still don't offer the special editions for the customer base with limited finances who want to play.
  12. Just a screencap of Magneto from the trailer was enough to make me put this on my "Wait till I might catch it on tv someday" list.

The actual trailer just added to that idea.

I've got the Ghost Dog, Sailor Moon and Demon City Shinjuku tri-stat games, along with BESM.

My Silver Age Sentinels is the d20 version, and not just any d20 version, it's the Stingy Gamers Version.

No maps, few drawings, and no color whatsoever.
  14. I loved the fact Guerrero's file was two handtrucks worth of boxes.

The second season isn't where I would have went with the show, but, well, 'we'll always have Geneva.'
  15. If the show continues, and Lucy Lawless has officially joined the cast, so it's a good chance it will, I think JJ and Daphne will end up being the most powerful characters.

Of course, if one, or both of them come under the influence of Uncle Joshua, he may show them some of the dark side to their powers, even inadverdantly, and make them even more powerful.

JJ could become anything from the ultimate inventor/scientist, to Batman-esque, to an unstoppable melee combatant. Daphne could just mind wipe everyone and rob every bank from Palm City (let's see the Cape try to stop her) to Paragon.

    Subjective

I prefer "Highwayman" to "Songs About Me" any day of the week, for instance.

Then again, I like how Alan Jackson talks about "songs about... good hearted women, family and God" on one song, then his other songs include "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" and "Five O'Clock Somewhere."

And I'll tell you what Jimmy Buffet would do, he'd get drunk, buy an island, and write a song about it! That's what!
  17. I run a semi-regular "Silver Age Sentinels" game myself.

Too bad Guardians of Order went under, I liked a lot of their games.

Most (but not all) team-wide buffs/powers remain team-wide, i.e. they only affect the characters who are on your team within the league.

In Incarnate Trials, Temp Powers are disabled as well (we may let a sub-set of temp powers work, but we're still testing).

The current set of Incarnate Trials max out at 24 characters in the League. 48 character Leagues are still possible for things like Hami and Mothership raid coordination.

During the beta and internally, I've seen Leagues "missing vital roles" do just fine in completing the trials. I'm not saying that having those roles fills won't make it easier. Just like anything else in CoH, difficulty can be mitigated significantly with specific team/league make-up. This is no different than how the rest of the game works.
    Thanks for clarifying, Posi!

I'm still not a fan of anything that requires more than a regular team of 8 to do, though.

I'm glad everyone else likes the idea (the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few and all that) but it's not for me.

Among scrappers, only Willpower, Invulnerability, and Shield Defense have actual taunt auras.
I think you may have misread me, Claws. I wasn't saying /Fire had a Taunt aura, I was saying I love /Fire but I don't play it because the pulsing effect irritates me after a few minutes.

I was just pointing out to the OP that if you don't like having something from a power, then don't play that power.

  21. I got bored with other games because they required 10, 12,25, 40 people to complete anything substantial.

Sorry, I have got to go with a big "meh" on this. Reminds me too much of WARbands in another game that I cannot say by name or my post will get deleted.
  22. Personally, I think if you don't want a Taunt Aura, don't make or play a character who has one.

I love /Fire but I can't stand the throbbing pulse the PBAoE makes after a few minutes of watching it, so I don't play one.

    See how it works? Simple!

    This. Totally.

As I've said before, the Origins are beyond silly because it's Natural for a Mutant to have powers. It's Science that a Technology hero creates and uses Power Armor.

Cable is a Mutant (with a very low TK power.) He uses a Gun and a Teleporter (Both Science & Technology.)

Wolverine, again a Mutant, has advanced regeneration (Mutant) and had/has Claws and an Adamantium skeleton (Science.)

    Superman is a Natural.

Batman is a Natural, yet uses Science & Technology all the time.
  24. Yeah, when I saw Daphne use her powers to implant suggestions I was thinking "Jedi Daphne" myself.

Of course, I like Joshua. I think the show could have just been about him quitting working at Global Tech and trying to form a normal relationship with Katie.

As much as I like Michael Chikliss (sp) and Julie Benz, the show might have been better as a 30 minute sitcom with Joshua and Katie.

Ironically, my friend's girlfriend works at a place here called GlobalTech. They make candles.

    MAJOR EDIT:

I said Joshua and Daphne originally, I meant Joshua and Katie. Oops!
  25. I've been pondering a DB/Stone Brute myself, so I'm kind of curious as well. I'd love to have a Granite covered pseudo-tank pulling off the pirouettes of Dual Blades.
