    TA/Archery

Sorry for a little thread jacking here...

How was the TA/Arch to level? I've often wanted to make one but have never read any really good pieces of information on the leveling process.

    Cheers,

    Since when?

[QUOTE=BrandX;2559097]One of the problems I think, is that people don't realize Howling Twilight has a huge -regen debuff.

Even those who play it, don't realize it.

    I know on my Dark/Ice/Psi, I didn't realize it.

    Now, on my Dark/Sonic/Dark...I do.

    QUOTE]

I love Howling. I use it on my D3 all the time. Get mobs together, scare'em, tar em, twilight em, TT, and fire away. Fun, fun, fun. I love my D3. May have to make a new one on Pinnacle.
  4. I have a lvl 21 plant/ta and am enjoying it immensely! The holds are super, Acid Arrow is great after SoC.

Slow going solo, but still, a great combo.

I used to think that TA sucked but man, was I wrong. It's a nice secondary.
  5. I have enjoyed playing to 50 and mostly solo:
    Earth/kin
    Ill/kin

    I have in the 20s

    Plant /ta
    Ice/Cold
    Ill/storm

    in the 30's
    earth/storm

I enjoy playing them all because each combo brings something completely different to the game either solo or on a team.

Earth did move more slowly but the control is awesome.
Plant is moving slow, but is exciting and fun to play. Great holds, and very cool visuals.

/Storm is an incredibly powerful set and if played correctly, will tear SH** APART!

Have fun with which ever sets you try and try a few out for size. One will fit and that will be the one you get to 50.
  6. I have a plant/ta at lvl 21 and although moving slower than I'd like, it's still a blast to play. Especially now that I can colour the vines and such.

Haven't seen another one around though so may be a rarity.
  7. Welcome to our new names and the forums!

    trenchcoats

I'm looking forward to getting my buffing pets!
  9. I must say that I'm having an awesome time with my nrg/nrg. It's a young character, but so far, the most fun I've had with a blaster. Good range, good close up dmg - not the highest damage... I'm really geared to visual stimulants so the nrg blasts are awesome for me.

I also have a rad/mm and a fire/mm and they're both fun as well - and fire, does some great dmg.
  10. Thanks for the replies. Much appreciated.

I will be slotting for damage and recharge. So far, early on am slotting for acc and end red. Once I hit 20, and have stamina, will respec to acc/dmg/rech.

    Cheers!

    New Tank

I must say that WP/SS is a nice starter tank. I am new to tanks and have played this char to lvl 39 in a few weeks. He's great!

I did take taunt because I read about the issue with holding aggro and have not had an issue at all. I threw some taunt IO's in there and went to town.

The heal is wonderful and the non issue with stamina is super. I did take stamina as well, just to make sure I never run out and it's worked like a charm.

SS puts out some great damage and I've built my guy for damage. There was a thread somewhere about building for damage that I can't locate, but I followed that build and it's been awesome. Quick kills and fast moving through mishes.

So for my 2 cents, WP/SS is a good way to introduce yourself into tanking.

    Cheers,

    S
  12. So...I'm playing with my nrg/nrg blaster and am having a raucous ol' time.

I believe that it was Fulmens that stated in the Player Questions that NRG2 played well in up to the 20s but afterwards not so easy. Why is that?

Wouldn't it depend on play-style? After all, you can slot for damage/kb/acc/ etc., etc., which should make it just as fair to play in the lower end as the upper. Well, that's how I think anyway.

Any help out there or thoughts on this?

    INF File missing

    Hello,

Not sure if anyone can help me with this...
I am trying to install my ATI Radeon 4670 drivers and I have got the INF File missing message twice and it won't install.

    Anyone?

    Thanks.

  15. I will be switching my villainous stalker over. He's really more of a heroish type of guy anyway and I really, after 4 years, still really enjoy blueside better than red. And of course, as has been mentioned, the market on red side blows.
I will skate across borders with one hero "as he sees fit". Not so much as an RP but just that he is mentally deranged and sometimes doesn't make the best choices.

    rad/elec

So I made a rad/elec Radifried, on Saturday. So far, up to 12 and having fun, however I'm wondering if there are any high lvl rad/elec's around to give me some advice on how the char plays as you lvl up. Pitfalls and strengths etc.

    cheers!
  17. I take it for concept only. I think I have 6 chars with it, otherwise, SoM is my choice.
  18. Did you delete the Chat tab by mistake?
If so, just recreate it and add back the selections that you want to see under that tab.

I love the Shard. But it gets awfully lonely in there...
  20. I have never done a Posi.
    I have no accolades.
I have very few badges on all of my chars. Just not that into badge hunting...
I too have never left an empty slot longer than a week without an alt going into it.
I've never got a vill to 50. 35 is the closest for me after 42 months of play.
  21. Thank you for this.

I'm a lvl 8 stone/fire tank and loving the challenge!
I am normally a def and stupidly and blindingly took hover out of "the norm"...must respec out.. darn.

I'll be trying out your suggestions for the first tank i've ever got to lvl 8! The others seemed very uninteresting to me...

    Cheers!
  22. I just built a sonic/sonic and was wondering if there are any son/son 50's checking this thread out. If yes, how did they find soloing with this build?

    Thanks.
  23. I will miss your wonderful input and guidance and sigh.. a sad sad day for us and joyous occasion for you I hope!
  24. You know, I feel for everyone who's been around since conception; I simply want to know a few things.
    1. What was promised the game would be as time went on? What was the promise for PvP? How far off the mark have the dev's been?
    2. How upset would you be if it was 2+years later and we were on a clean (as clean as can be)I3 release vs I7 full of bugs?
    3. If the dev's could change PvP, don't you think that there would be a rash of players that would still want something else to change? More of this, less of that....?

At this point, numbers in all facets of business are what drives change. If you look at the posts related to PvP issues resolved or unresolved, there are pretty much the same people expressing the same opinions. How then, with a few 1000 people playing, do you figure that the numbers on this issue should account for a dramatic change?
Also, as pointed out, with all releases there are bugs -
(and every company that releases any type of product is always fixing it after because they must keep up with the economic base markets so don't even bother going that route unless you have a degree in economics)
so remember that when the dev's finally do change the PvP area.. you will have bugs. Will you then complainthat they should've waited until it was a clean release?

How much cake would you like to have and eat?

    mmmmm... cake...
