I'm curious, and this seems like a valid place to ask.
Dual Pistols can "turn off" their knockback with swap ammo. Do most stick to lethal ammo? Do teams yell at them?
I realize there are other factors (damage type/mez stacking), but it seems like it might be a small way to gauge reactions to the ability to not have knockback. -
I thought it would go for 400 points. I thought that was too much, but I would buy it anyway, 'cause yay doggie! Definitely not feeling it at 500 for fluff, though.

WoW definitely let's you enter dungeons solo. Or it did back in the day, I haven't played since before Burning Crusade. I often poked at them solo just to test my limits.

Quote:For what it's worth, she does appear in a villain Ourobouros TF. She's not a very well-known hero to the players, but she'd be pretty famous in-universe.Especially since they introduced a character who had no appeared in the game prior to this, showed her for all of one mission, and then killed her pretty much as suddenly as they introduced her.
Besides, no one would stick around if the big secret was revealed in part three of seven. -
The Croatoa arcs aren't bad, except for the maddening "Prevent 50 Fir Bolg From Escaping" mission. That one is one of my few auto-drops.
Those arcs start at level 25 with Gordon Bower and go up to 35 with Buck Salinger. -
Right now, I'm really enjoying my EleM/Regen stalker. It's nice to know that anything I accomplish is because I'm clever. Slacking off and scrapperlock both get me killed.

First, a couple links: ParagonWiki's Alignment article Snow Globe's Going Rogue Morality System - In Plain English
Reading those should help, but I'll try to address your specific questions.
The Trashcan has a little popmenu thing at the bottom just like the recipe screen at a crafting station. If you check it, you may see that you are hiding recipes with missing ingredients. Unchecking that should allow you to see all the available recipes.
What you can earn with Villain Merits: recipes. Tons of them. Many set recipes cost one alignment merit. More sought-after recipes (Luck of the Gambler +Recharge, Numina's Convalescence +Recovery and +Regeneration) cost two. Respecs are ten, Purples are twenty, and PVP recipes are twenty-five to thirty-five.
You are unlikely to accidentally change alignments. There are several dialogue boxes asking if you're sure you're sure you're really sure you want to change alignments. -
I have /bug'ed it in game, for what it's worth.

I've posted previously that the power does trigger migraines for me. Alternate animation would definitely be appreciated. I respecced into it thinking it would be basically like Oppressive Gloom, and had to respec right back out of it two days later when the headache faded and I was able to play again.

Keep in mind that this is just a sample of one player's preferred play styles. There are dozens of classes not represented in that list.

Quote:Hmmmm, this means absolutely nothing to me, I have never played a Fantasy MMO or RPG really. What are these folks good at?
Rangers are generally a mix of melee (often dual-wielding) and bows. Sometimes they have a single powerful pet (lions and tigers and bears, oh my!). They tend to have a protector-of-the-wilderness theme and access to some light healing/buff/debuff spells and good movement speeds.
Bards are a little of everything. They generally have a bit of melee power, some spells (often focusing on illusion and crowd control), good buffs, and questionable defenses.
Monks are your basic agile martial artist type.
Rogues are generally stalker-esque: agile, stealthy melee fighters that can be in big trouble if they don't fight on their terms. They also tend to have some utility such as disarming traps or unlocking loot chests or dungeon doors. -
Many of the power effects in this game cause me migraines. Barrier and Clarion included. I couldn't team if I wanted to. I would still like the option to advance my character and get new shinies.

I assume it's apparent, but in case of confusion, no I don't have store access.
-
The patch has finished and I don't see any Titan Weapons. Sad face.
-
Test patching sloooowly. I'll be happy to post some shots if/when I can get in and access TW.
-
I'm rally looking forward to Titan Weapons. I'll probably even buy Paragon Points for the first time.
For me, it's not about the size. I just want more weapons I can use with two hands. I don't like the one-handed animations for axe/mace/broadsword. -
I thought you were going to say the Jello-skeleton Shivans were gone completely. I would have been sad.
Bubble-wrap Jello skeletons are awesome, though. -
I tend to chain Attack Vitals and Weaken between Assassin's Strikes on hard targets. The Weakened effect may not be huge, but I like keeping bosses off their feet as much as possible anyway.

Quote:Just to clarify my position: it's not that I don't like the visual of Disrupt. It causes me literal physical pain. It joins a half dozen other effects in making sure I only ever solo.I actually really like Disrupt's FX. It was the whole reason I picked up Repulse, in fact and I built the whole concept behind that KM/EA Stalker around Repulse (although I didn't use it quite that often).
Personally, I think the game needs more flashy visuals like that.
I'm not selfish enough to ask that the effects be removed so I can team, but a less garish option would really be appreciated. -

Disruption gave me a migraine.
Energize is nice, but I didn't find the boost enough for me to be able to drop Aid Self.
I solo exclusively, so if there are enough enemies around that Energy Drain is going make a difference, I've messed up. -
I PMed a list to Zwillinger a little while ago, but here it is again, with a bit more detail. The following powers trigger migraines for me, even with brief exposure.
The large bubble from Sonic Resonance (Sonic Dispersion)
The basic resist toggle in Electric Armor (Charged Armor)
The -recovery toggle in Electric Control (Conductive Aura)
The Psi Mastery armor (Mind Over Body)
Playing with the colors on the customizable ones did not produce any lessening of the migraine trigger in those powers. Blazing Aura, however, only produces a migraine in me if the colors are bright.
It seems to be pulsing that causes problems. -
Thank you for your service.
Another option is a Fortunata. They have a good mix of control, buff, and damage. The Psy damage is a little light on the robots, but it helps a great deal if you're going for the badges in the Marauder fight.
With Tactical Training: Maneuvers and Leadership Maneuvers, combined with Mind Link, you can add a lot of defense to your team, helping them get over the "Incarnate softcap." Plus, you'll have plenty of places to stick the Luck of the Gambler 7.5s. -
If you were in charge of design for CoH2, what fundamental changes would you make to the way the game works?
I don't particularly like the way mezzing works in this game. I believe it should be incredibly rare, but also very scary when it does happen.
In my opinion, minions shouldn't be able to wrest control away from players. It should take a big bad to lock a player down; Ghost Widow, for instance. On the other hand, no one should be immune to mezzes. I would get rid of Break Frees and mez-immunity toggles, while allowing more resilient archetypes to have some mez resistance to shake it off sooner.
I would design certain encounters wherein it is lore appropriate for an enemy to have that kind of power. There would be a unique wind-up animation to give players a few seconds to pop inspirations to try to weather the hold, or for a tank to taunt to make sure the enemy doesn't go after his squishies while he's helpless.
It's not a suggestion, since it's obviously too late to change such a fundamental thing, but it's nice to dream.
Edit: I occurred to me today that the word "mez" could be ambiguous to some. I mean holds, stuns, sleeps, fears, confusion, and to a lesser degree endurance drains and knockback. "Mez" is a term I picked up from my first MMO. It started as a specific class' ability, but was adopted as shorthand for anything that stopped a character from acting.
