X-ray beam is something to spec out of later (it still adds to your DPS in high levels, but its effect is reduced), but I'd definitely take it for the ride up.

Also, not just Irradiate but Irradiate, Electron Haze and Neutron Bomb. Rad Blast has 3 AoEs, and that's where its primary strength lies.

On my Rad/Dark Corruptor, I took every power in the set. There's really none that warrant avoiding. The Snipe's a good snipe. The nuke's a good nuke. All that really needs saying is that Cosmic Burst is easily the best blast power ever.

I could not have put it any better... MrQuizzles is on the money. Beside look at his avatar... how could you refuse sound advise from a hotdog on an old style phone. I know I would not.

It could have been. Sometimes people will 'flame' and spot anger and loathing. IF so it might have annoyed some rational person and they reported it. I do when I see it.

  3. It all probably boiled down to the age old 'WAAAAA WAAAAA' of knock back.

Somebody got all wrecked because you dared to do your job and make everyone else look bad with your skill and knowledge.

Let them cry and use the ignore button on them.

Considering that the Legacy Chain light blasts are clearly from the Energy Blast animations and effects, stick with energy.

    Or roll a Peacebringer.

Radiation Blast is uber cool but the particle effects don't bring to mind "light". Depending on which powers get proliferated, Rad could include some real "smoky" "foggy" effects like in Irradiate.[/QUOTE]

I think a reroll to a rad blaster would be nice- giving you the opportunity to try it out and the fact as someone mentioned, the sound effects are cooler that energy's in reference to light powers. However if the visual aspect is most important to you I think an energy or peacebringer might be best. My suggestion is to download all of these powersets if you have them into the tutorial. When it goes into open beta, take a look at what the powers will look like yellow when you recolor.

But seriously, why is Radiation Blast doing energy damage? Shouldn't it be doing something like toxic damage?
It would make it so awesome if they would change it to toxic/energy damage. This would be great as for example energy blast's damage is energy/smashing.

It would also make up for the fact as someone pointed out earlier- radiation blast has always been considered underwhelming.

I would really like to see the inside of that ship...
I'd like to see where the Rikti sleep. Their armory. Their idea of a bathroom. Their chow hall. Their recreational facilities. Their Drone docking bays. Control consoles. Engine rooms.

Inside the Rikti ship... it's uber creepy!!!

and yes, that is the Rikti Hive Mother.

  7. 10 bucks tops at Big Lots. I will try and see if they have one. I could always attach it to my second account if you find it.

I just read through his 26 page "paper". (I'm not sure what to call it, essay?) And I have to say, I'm not impressed.

This man has a doctorate, and I've written more in-depth papers than this one when I was a FRESHMAN.

Wow, just wow. I want to go to the school where he got his doctorate, maybe they'll give me a free one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The two things he forgot to comment on.

ONE: His findings contain NO new information. It is not just in video games that everyone loses their manners and says the most awful things. This occurs in all aspects of the web- live chat, forums postings, etc., etc. It is sad but true. Many papers have been written on this already.

TWO: He was a total [censored] and deserved it. Who would not want the idiot's <paraphrasing his video interview> mom to get cancer and his execution. Life is too short to make it suck for others. He was 'griefing'. Griefing is for the weak AND forbidden via the rules of the game. Perhaps he should have read the 'other guys' paper on griefing before wasting time on his 'study'. What a d-monger...

Guys, I seriously starting to think someone hacked Fritz's account and is trying to make him look bad.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No he has done a perfectly good job of that himself. As I was reading the thread I had a point to post in his favor. I was also going to comment on some people poor comments towards him. Now all I think is they were right. Now I have decided to ignore him. Sad...

Yes, Power Boost affects Combat Shield.

I just tested this and viewing Combat Attributes:

    CS (w/ PB) = 25.01% Def to S/L

I think it's time for people to dust off their thesaurus.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It is totally weak to force someone to create a character named "Language reference book" because some people who have not payed in over a year have on thier accounts on all severs the names, "Glossary", "Lexicon", and "Thesaurus" (etc. etc.) taken. THAT is the plain and simple point. NOT that they need to dust off their Thesaurus.

Lightning Bolt is nearly equivalent to a a Sapper blast it seems. This is pretty painful on a non-controlling character.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I noticed that. I had people bumming over it in my "The Fabulous Four" story. I want to know when they will bring PLAYER electric attacks to this level. I WANTZ MUH SAPPER!

I am just happy for now that they removed TAR PATCH from minions. It made using the dark set unmanagable with their spamming it over and over.

    Ps I WANTZ MUH SAPPER!

The balance problem, of course, is this:

Scrapper, tank, or brute: Hey, quit it! That tickles!
Everyone else: OH GOD MY FACE, MY FACE!

MA content is certainly startlingly challenging on my melee toons, especially when there are enough minions to stack enough magnitude to overcome mez protections. But it's a little owie compared to what squishies face, especially now.

I'd rather the devs impose XP caps and other explicit anti-abuse protections, than to prevent fine-grained controls over critter power level and indeed, reasonably standard-mob-equivalent critter design.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I must concur. The heartier toons are colorfast while the more delicate squishables are getting torn up in the rinse cycle. The City of Gaymers have been doing quite a bit of testing. Some has been min/maxed mishes, some not. Regardless of how the players made their mish, the squishies seems to be in even greater peril. We will have to see what additional tweaks to the system bring.

I am petitioning for a new IO set called "Insight of TheOcho".

All the set bonuses need to be related to the number 8 in some way:

    8 % Recharge
    0.8 % Smashing / Lethal Resistance

    Etc.

SYNAPSE please make it happen. (Maybe he'll do a vanity search.)

    8% Positional defense
