What happens when a Shield-using toon uses Sands of Mu (or any other two-handed attack for that matter)? Does the shield disappear?

I got him to 15 last night, and he's a blast. Regens seem a little too clicky for my taste, but the fact that I never have End problems more than makes up for it. I noticed that you took Stamina. Is it really needed? The fact that you took it at Level 44 instead of 20 kinda tells me maybe not. -
If you have already gotten a Raptor Pack from a Safeguard mission and it has run out, can you exempt down and get it again?

Normally I scrounge around in the Guide to Guides looking for sample builds, but the links are all broken because of the new forums. Could I see some sample Mids builds?
I solo mostly. For concept reasons, I'd like to pick Fly by 14. And I have both the Sands of Mu and Nemmy Staff vet powers. -
Don't forget that the only way to get the Rikti War Zone Beacon for your SG teleporters is to participate in a ship raid because there is a badge on the ship.

I'm not sure why allowing my characters who have not yet redeemed their 33 month vet reward to choose an Assault Rifle, Grenade Launcher etc, would cause your pre-existing characters to lose the use of their Nemmy Staves or Blackwands....
How does giving me something cause you to lose something? -
Could we get more options for the 12 and 33 month veteran's rewards?
Specifically, the 33 month reward. (I almost always pick Sands of Whiff for 12 month.)
I've got a Natural origin scrapper who's a superspy and neither the Blackwand nor the Nemesis Staff really fit the concept. Any chance of choosing some kind of Assault Rifle or Rocket Launcher, instead? -

I used to have the name "6boxcars6" cuz the name "boxcars" was never available. Well, it's now available, so I'm guessing that they purged forum names that are no longer being used.

I have never heard of Reichsman 'singlehandedly' winning the second World War - care to provide a link? As for Statesman, there are numerous inconsistencies with his power. This man survived a direct nuclear warhead and flew through a Rikti spaceship with unknown metal alloys, yet got sidelined by conventional explosives and/or bullets? Plus the occasional times when one gets the pleasure of downing Statesman in CoV. This man survived a freakin' NUKE; he's worried about my piddly little sword?!

D-Day was in 1944. States got nuked in 1976. Mebbe he was only level 15 in 1944 (he didn't have access to AE like the rest of us), but by 1976 he was over level 50.
...and your "piddly little sword" is ... um ... made from xenonite, which Ascendant ... ooops, I mean ... Statesman is strangely vulnerable to.
