So I guess /Time has no synergy with Beam? Is it because Time is so clicky and doesn't leave much room for pew pew?

Newp.
Well, I wouldn't pay a dollar for it for realz, but I shouldn't have to if it's an inherent.
I do see some problems with it: the main problem is it would encourage a tank to stand off in a corner by himself somewhere and single pull critters to him one at a time.
However, if tanks' playstyle with the Anger mechanic continues to be the same playstyle as it is now without the Anger mechanic, think I think it would be a net gain for everyone.
No one in this thread needs to be reminded that Threat is inextricably linked to damage. More damage done = more threat generated = more baddies hitting you instead of the squishies.
The argument that tanks will be punished for attacking larger groups of foes is a false argument, because at no time does the Anger mechanic decrease the damage the tanker does compared to the amount of damage the same tank would do in the same situation without the Anger mechanic. That argument should be changed to say that a tank with the Anger mechanic would be rewarded more for attacking smaller groups of foes as opposed to larger ones.
The argument that tanks will lose aggro once the Anger bar is empty is a false argument as well. Since the tank will be doing the exact same amount of damage with an empty Anger bar as he would have been doing without the Anger mechanic, then any aggro lost as a result of the empty Anger bar would have been aggro he would not have gotten to begin with if the Anger mechanic did not exist.
Teal Deer:
As long as tanks' playstyles do not significantly change as a result of this mechanic, I'd get behind it. It's a short term damage buff that decays very quickly. Considering how fast it decays, it's probably the equivalent of eating a Big Red before jumping into a group of baddies. -

Quote:An average amazon, I'd see Batman as a Level 30 StJ/SR vs a Level 20 SS/WP.Hmmm...now I wonder. Batman is one of the top fighters in DCU, just not the top, but is he a better fighter than the amazons? This I now want to know!
But against WW, I'd see this as a Level 30 StJ/SR vs a Level 40 SS/WP. -
Quote:Doesn't look like any one else covered this so I'll give it a shot:
If you go afk in a zone (as opposed to in an instance), the game will eventually log you out.
You can't pvp inside an instance, you can only pvp in a zone.
But, if both toons choose an ouro mish as their active mish, but don't actually enter the ouro mission instance, that will prevent them from being logged off while in a zone.Quote:I thought that if you were in a TF, you don't get auto-logged?
Eco
It's just easier to get all of your toons into an ouro mish than into a TF. Most TF's have a minimum number of toons requirement, whereas ouro mishes do not. -
Quote:Probably the simplest is to allow inactivity logoff when on an oro tf. But I'll leave the exact mechanism to the dev's, it's what they're paid to do.Quote:Obviously I'm not versed in how one does pvp afk farming but...how would that help?
A person can still have two accounts going doing afk farming without being on an ouro (or any other) tf/sf.

A little off topic, but two questions:
On your buff bar, there is an icon that looks like the Inner Inspiration icon, but it has a gold background instead of a grey background. What is that?
Also, what is that on power tray #2, slot #7? -
Really sorry I'm going to miss this.
On the last Sutter you and I were on, Primal Duray never teleported and never called in an airstrike, and since then I've been trying to figure out the mechanics of that fight.
Can you post a recap of the fight when done?
Also, I don't know how helpful this will be, but in this thread Black Scorpion says that Primal's Teleport has a 2 minute recharge, but if Praetorian Duray or one of his clones is around, then Primal's Teleport has a much shorter recharge.
Good luck. -
Quote:True, but only because the market caps at 2 billion.
Most sales happen in off-market channels.
Also, as I suggested, have the PVP IO's available via other tracks: Increase supply.
Last, I have several PVP IO's, despite the fact that I neither PVP nor actively farm them. Alignment Merits For The Win!
It is nonsensical that the best way to amass in-game resources is to NOT play the game. How does that make ANY kind of sense? Change the code so AFK farming doesn't work any more, and increase supplies of PVP drops via other channels.Quote:Soooo you're complaining about folks getting their pvp IOs by not pvping . . . yet you got most of your's by, drumroll please, NOT PVPING!
Right. LMAO!
Whereas, he's using A-Merits to get PvPIO's. Last i checked, A-Merits can only be earned by ... playing the game. -
Snape killed Dumbledore......
...but only because Dumbledore asked Snape to kill him because Dumbledore was going to die anyway from the results of destroying the first horcrux and so Snape could get closer to Voldemort and help Harry kill Voldemort because Snape was really a double or is that triple agent and was so good at it that Harry named his youngest son Severus.
Or something. -

Quote:An Empowerment Station is a SG device that crafts buffs that last an hour. However, these are buffs (like Fire Resistance, Increased Attack Speed, Increased Immob Resistance) not de-buffs so there is nothing in there to directly increase Hold Duration or Magnitude, although Increased Attack Speed may do so indirectly by allowing the Holds to be cast more often.I don't know what craftable hold powers there are, but don't forget your empowerment table buffs from the base - those will help. If you can lock down Primal fast enough to keep him from teleporting away, it'll help.
Also, Cende, are you saying that Holds will prevent Primal from teleporting? I've heard that's not the case but can't confirm it. -
-
Quote:Not always, but I don't know why.2) Primal Duray does indeed teleport and otherwise hare around all over the place.
I've been on three of these - different times and different teams - in which Primal Duray never teleported AND never called in an airstrike.
After the most recent one, we all hung around and tried to figure out why, here's what we came up with:
We decided that "teleport" and "call in airstrike" are inextricably linked. In all three runs I'm referring to, Primal did not do either. I don't know which is first in the "teleport/airstrike" sequence, but by preventing him from doing one we apparently also prevented him from doing the other.
We decided that there is some thing that "triggers" the "teleport/airstrike" sequence. It's obviously NOT percentage of hitpoints (like Mito Blooms in Hami Raids). And I don't think it's "x amount of time, then teleport/call in airstrike" either, because on these three runs, we did not kill him especially fast. Further, i've been on runs where he seems to teleport every two seconds or so.
Our favorite theory about the "trigger" is that it relied on a change in aggro. On all three runs I'm referring to, each team had one and only one tank, and the tank was not Willpower.
In other words, if one toon can get in and grab Primal Duray's aggro, and no other toon takes Primal's aggro away from that first toon, then that MAY prevent the "teleport/call in airstrike" sequence.
Does anyone have any supporting anecdotes/evidence or anecdotes/evidence to the contrary? -

Quote:For the same reason DC told us that Superman was going to die in Superman #75 well in advance: so people would go and buy Superman #75.Why would you spoil this storyline by posting the answer? Why did we patiently wait to find the answer to "who will die?" week after week simply so You could post it up on here? Couldn't you have revealed that in game when you released the signature arc?! Couldn't you have at LEAST POSTED A SPOILER TAG!?!
Sorry but that was a brain dead move and I feel robbed. Good going Zwil.
NCSoft has told us that Statesman will die in WWD #5, and they hope that those who aren't VIPs and don't already get it for free will spend real money on WWD #5. -
I would probably see it, since I like the whole Spy Who Came in from the Cold, Cold War spies genre; but, tbh, isn't it too dated to appeal to the general movie-going public?
(btw, is it set in the seventies, like it should be; or has it been updated like The Manchurian Candidate was?) -
I'll be there.

K-1969 should have been played by Josh Hartnett, he's a dead ringer for a young Tommy Lee Jones.
