  1. We tried a "arcs only" SG team. We had problems because nobody really wanted to dredge through the arcs and find good ones.
  2. marketeers don't tend to speculate much, oddly enough.

That however does not explain why Magical Conspiracy is at 10million.
... it is? Last 5 prices are a shade above 2 million (Sunday, noon eastern, heroside.)
  4. If the spawn is reasonably tight to begin with, you can just kill 'em in place with [e.g.] a Fire/Mental blaster. No gathering the group up while everyone else knits a sweater...
  5. The only time recently I've spent HOURS at the market... I was trying out a badge toon and trying to get the "thousands of things sold" and "Field crafter" badges.

It's these friggin' morons, who think there marketeers or "ebil" whatever the hell that is, who are spiking the prices.
... and thousands of people with fresh level 50s running around, each trying to buy 45 rare salvage at once, has nothing to do with it.

EDIT: It's kinda funny watching the "last 5" on some high level commons where people are buying for 1000 (with patience) and 500,000 (with no patience) WITHIN A FIVE MINUTE PERIOD.
I'm not patient... but I'm THAT patient.

Doesn't change my point. Some things have gone up in price, many others have gone down. I think the "gone up" has done so faster, over a broader front, than the "gone down" but it's not an obvious single data point.
  8. Last I looked (admittedly before 2XP) there were at least 10 of each of these recipes for sale, either side. Would those pretty much cover what you were looking for?
  9. What hours, central time zone, do you usually play?
  10. I just gave out a couple hundred more million for people to get more Prestige in their bases (I match your inf->prestige conversion, up to 100M per person per time I do this.)

So 2-for-1 sale on Prestige again!
  11. What server, what time do you play, and what's your global? 10 gets you 9 from me (700->630), probably get a better deal from someone else. I'm @Boltcutter in game.
  12. OK, I know I was slow on getting back to this... PApa Slade and Devil You Know, handled!

That leaves, umm, SFist and Captain Starstorm.
  13. A lot of people are giving advice for the 40+ (or 45+ for epic armor, or 50 for purples) game.

If you're going to solo a lot on the way there, it is important to know this:

You are initially doing way more damage than they have HP. They will catch up and they, in turn, will tend to do more damage than you have HP.

Blasters get their damage boosts 1) big and 2) early. Your big improvements are "DO's", "Build Up", "Aim", and "SO's" in that order. I don't want to say "it's all downhill from here on" (you have at least one big hitter power left in your primary, no?) but be aware that the game will take a turn for the ugly when soloing at some point. 22 isn't that point because you just took an ABRUPT boost in outbound damge with SO's. But it may come.

Good hunting, and remember that you're James Bond and not Colossus. Someone may put your face through a window, and it will hurt. So shoot them first and shoot them hard.
  14. You may run into some people with some hostility towards the idea of being studied.

That's because the last person I know of who came here to study people basically trolled the community for months and wrote a paper about what happens when you're an a-hole to people. Do a search on "Twixt PVP" .

So if you feel the well has been poisoned- in short, if you feel griefed- blame twixt!
  15. If you're going to have a loot system, the implication is that you want people to strive for better loot. Loot that autoimproves seems to defeat this design goal.
  16. Now what am I supposed to do with these Apocalypses?
/em looks at title of forum

It's a crazy idea, but it just might work!
  17. I can help. Lotta people around here can vouch for me. What server, when do you play?
  18. I think it's sort of my fault... a spiritual sibling of Midlevel Crisis, an SG of level-locked players on Freedom.

I used to "buy merits"- 15 million per roll from anyone under level 41- but I'm thinking I might get better results buying losers. 10 million per rare piece-o-crap under level 41 you bring me. That way there's no "I sold a 50 million inf recipe for 15 million" buyer's remorse and I can still get a hundred recipes out there for a billion inf.

Powers that seem like they should be good from the name or in game short description, but actually tend to under-perform.
I don't have a full set worked up, but Tanker Fire Breath and Combustion both belong on that list. Also maybe Cloak of Fear?
  20. Lotta red inf going around, isn't there?
  21. Me or mousedroid? I'm on all servers. I will take Champions infamy and deliver Virtue influence, or whatever.

... I figure if I'm charging for it, I should at least be a full-service provider.

EDIT: I am not "on" European servers, but I can figure out how to do business to/from there if needed.
  22. I operate a currency exchange (10 gets you 9, going either way) but that's a private service, not a game function. I don't know if that helps you with your issue or not.
