While I enjoy the Rikti as they are, I wish that we could get the chance to run a TF on the Rikti homeworld. With Hero 1 back on our side, I figured that he would become the new contact for a TF, where we work on a peace accord with the Rikti. Of course, we would have to fight the Lineage of War in their attempts to block the peace talks. (Similar to Serpent Drummer's first mission, I suppose.)
As for EBs, some are more troublesome than others, yes. I haven't found one yet that I couldn't defeat solo, but I have had to use additional help in some instances. (Temp powers, Shivans, Vanguard pet, etc.) I think that the current balance of EBs is good, but I'm all in favor of options where you can raise or lower the amount/frequency of EBs. However, I would say that EBs should never be lowered below Boss status; there needs to be some challenges in the game.

After much talking among friends, I finally decided to give Community ago in early December. Loved the episodes enough, I started a marathon, and now I'm in season 3, with just a few more to watch. Naturally, I find a show I like, and it gets cancelled.
EDIT: Strange picks from the polls. Fringe and Game of Thrones were present in the top shows of 2011, but not present in the top sci-fi/fantasy? I see GoT was put into top drama, but Fringe was nowhere else to be found. -
70+ characters on 4 different servers; 14 of which are 50s. Most of the rest are in the 10-20 range, with some in the 30-45 range. I usually pick 3-4 characters to play/level up, and alternate between them, to build up rest XP.

Statesman, in grief over the death of Alexis, attempts to fly around the Earth to reverse the flow of time. Unfortunately, he forgets that he cannot survive in space, dying from a lack of oxygen.

Quote:That is a royal gift; the yeast sock puppets alone make it an awesome gift. Alton Brown was always my favorite show; sad to see it gone. Not much in the way of geeky gifts this year, although I did get this from someone:
Complete with blueprints for the yeast puppets, yay! <uuurp> -
In my experience, brains tend to shut down in moments of crisis. I had an experience where someone had a heart attack in front of me, and I was the only one who reacted. I had to yell at people to get them to do anything.
So, in other words, horror movies may be truer than you would believe. -
Quote:Let's just hope the world ends before the next movie comes out...Well there is one thing to look forward as far as Twilight goes. It is the movie that will be so terrible that it will end the world, or at least dramatically change it.
The movie is being released in December 2012 just as the Mayans foretold.
I'm looking forward to:
Avengers (have some reservations about it, but it's the Avengers!)
The Dark Knight Rises (reservations about Bane, but Nolan has done great so far)
The Hobbit (goosebumps from the song in the trailer)
Brave (looks great)
Possibly interested in:
Prometheus (like the idea, but prequels generally aren't very good)
John Carter (liked the books, will be interesting)
All I can think of right now. -

Quote:I am married and wear a ring, and still get those looks if I ever go into a kids section without my daughter. Middle age man in a kids section? Grab the kids and call the cops! The trick in that case FX, is to get yourself a cheap steel ring (or make one, if you have the capability) to imitate a wedding ring. Make sure that it's prominently visible if/when the mothers give you that look. You can make it seem like you are picking something out for your kid.
But, to continue in the vein of the original topic, in addition to my Lego AT-AT, I also got Thor on blu-ray, Muppets season 3 on DVD, and Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, to enjoy with my daughter. -
Quote:Great. So, when the 2012 thing doesn't pan out, we'll have a new way for the world to end for the doomsayers to latch onto. And while this story may have been overlooked because of the 2013 guesstimate, I think it's good for at least one new SyFy Saturday movie and a few mentions on Coast to Coast AM.
I never understood why some people are so concerned over how the world ends. We'd all die if the world exploded, collided with Nibiru, etc., so there's nothing we could do about it; why work yourself up over something that can't be changed? Are people really that bored/insane? -
I make it a point to check the front page of the store every Tuesday, just to make sure that the announcements don't miss something. This was how I noticed that the pack was free, and not linked to the purchase of TW.
I'd suggest the same practice in the future, so as to avoid this same situation from occurring. -
Lego Star Wars AT-AT. I get to look forward to putting this together over the next week.

Quote:As much as your background in history makes you an excellent movie critic?I am sure your degree in mathematics makes you an excellent movie critic.
EDIT: You know, having read the thread through, I can pretty much say that this thread should be locked. You are directly insulting people. Trying to enforce your opinions by insulting those with differing viewpoints is pretty poor behavior. FYI, I will be reporting this thread. -
LOL, saw the thread title, and came into it, thinking that another of his sidekicks had been killed off.
Great video, though. Love his work; he obviously puts attention to detail. -
I, for one, will welcome our new pony overlords.

Many thanks for all the hard work and effort you put into community, Avatea. You will be missed.
Safe journeys and best wishes! -
Quote:Sort of like how every good hero should have their own theme music?I just want the big ol' Spider to be relevant again. Tyrant is... okay. But he lacks something to be a great supervillain: A theme. You can fault Recluse for a lot of things, but the lack of a theme isn't one of them.

Made from sugar and spice and everything nice, it's...
The Powerpuff Ponies!

Quote:Going further:Keeping with the superhero theme:
The Phantasm is Andrea Beaumont, Bruce's ex-girlfriend.
Batwoman isn't one, but three different women.
Tim Drake is the Joker
The Red Hood is Jason Todd, the 2nd Robin.
Thor wins, but had to destroy Bifrost in the process.
Captain America wins, but is buried in ice for 50+ years.
Green Lantern wins, but not many people saw it to care. -
Thought about this a bit, and realized that sometimes in comics, when a hero decides to retire, they will sometimes refer to the their superhero alter ego as "dead". So, Statesman (his alter ego) will "die", as Marcus Cole gets tired of losing people he loves, and decides to retire as a hero.
So, this could be a total red herring, still leaving parts 6 and 7 to determine who will really die. And, naturally, their death will cause Marcus to change his mind, and resume being Statesman (or not). -
Playing on my ice/ice character, I always find it amusing when fire is used as a device to move you along quickly (For example, the Roy Cooling arc, or the Protean arc redside). Really, fire? I can put out fires in Steel Canyon, but somehow I can't in missions?
