To me, it's alot like SR in that regard. Both, when slotted with SO's, solo like it's nothing, but once you start hitting those larger spawns, there are some difficulties. However, both of them, once slotted with IO's, are ridiculously good. It's just a matter of how much you feel like spending.

On the top of the window, it will say Import/Export. Click on that, and at the dropdown menu pick Short Forum post (please :P). Once that window opens up, look at the top right, and it should have a box labeled "Formatting Code Type" and choose phpBB/Zetboards. Then just click Export Now at the bottom, and Ctrl + V or right click + paste, or whatever, and voila.
  4. Move hide down the line? Hell, I want a Scrapper with Hide too!

Ahh, thanks BP, was feeling like I gave some bad advice on that one, but didn't know what exactly.
  6. As far as soft-capping goes, two sets of Blessing of the Zephyr will get you ver the soft cap for ranged/aoe. As for melee, you could 6-slot a Mako's set or Obliteration for somewhere in the neighborhodd of 3% defense each. If you're running all toggles/autos/CJ + Weave, then Those four sets will have you over the soft-cap by a noticeable margin. Once you're soft-capped, it's just a matter of killing (or in Spines case, AoE'ing) everything like a madman.

Is that even possible? I slotted a regen build just to see how much regen I could squeeze out of it, and got somewhere around 820%.

Don't mean to be a thread-jacker, but is Physical Perfection one of the two first choices you get, or will you need to pick up a pre-requisite?
  9. Once again, thanks for the help, Umbral!
  10. And what I REALLY meant was what is my DPS with one baddie in range?
  11. Sorry I keep posting threads like this, I'm trying to decide what I want to roll next, and I decided I wanna try a DM/SR instead of SD, simply because I think SD will end up being a little more costly.

Anyways, here's the DM/SR build I have planned, and my question is... what is the DPS on it? Still not quite sure how to calculate it.

    DM/SD Build

    Any input whatsoever?
  15. FreezeWave

    DM/SD Build

So I was kinda tinkering around with the DM/SD set, because from what I understand, it's pretty shveet for soloing AV's, due to the crazy DPS. I threw something together tonight to try to get close to how I'd want it, but I've very little experience with DM. I do have experience with Shields, but I never got into IO'ing it, as I didn't want to spend that much cash on villains.

Anything you guys can see that would drastically help?

Edit: I actually kept messing with my build and worked out some pretty good numbers. The one you see here is the revised build. Comments/critiques?

  16. The build does look really good, but two things I noticed.

You've hit the 5-set bonus cap with your LotG in Lucky (iirc) for the HP increase. If you wanted, you could four slot another Gift of the Ancients set in there, taking the other out of Elude. That way you could get that endurance increase and extra recovery bonus from the bonuses.

Also, I have no idea how it will affect the attack chain, but what I did is take out that Recharge Common IO you have slotted in GD and replaced it with the Armageddon: Chance for Fire damage proc. If the .25 seconds is something you don't wanna give up, then keep it, but I always like to have that extra 100-200 damage go off after the Achilles' lands, especially during long AV fights. Extra DPS is always ftw.

    Worked fine for me.

Other than that, damn, that's pretty awesome.

Edit: Whoa, whoa, whoa, no reconstruction?! What in ze hell are you thinking?! One of the reasons for having such insane recharge would be for an insanely-fast recharging Reconstruction, wouldn't it? Unless you play your way differently than I play mine. I could understand running this kind of a build with Siphon Life, but having nothing but DP to ease the burst damage that is so detrimental to regens, it seems like it would be great for one group and during the fight, but the next would bring you way down (in large groups anyways).
  18. FreezeWave

    DPS Calculation?

Umbral, to be quite honest, I took your slotting of CJ/SJ and the SR slots as law on my build I have saved. When I saw that and then the Obliteration set, I saw where I was going wrong with my slotting attempts (I had never actually seen the set bonuses for the BotZ set before). I do have another one planned out that is much more different, but as far as the one I am in the process of building, but my Mid's-fu is nowhere near the same level, so I copied your build over to see what I could do, and... well, I couldn't do much. Sorry if I made you angry with it. Needless to say I am a wee bit embarassed.

Aside from that, thanks for the DPS help. I'm helpless when it comes to maximizing my builds and doing stuff like calculations.
  19. Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever solo'd Nosferatu? I remember people getting his mission back in the day and screaming like wee school girls.
  20. FreezeWave

    DPS Calculation?

Yeah, That's the attack chain I'm using. Any tips on how I could bring the number up a bit?
  21. FreezeWave

    DPS Calculation?

Not really sure how you guys are calculating the DPS, but I'm guessing you take the damage the attacks deal and then divide it by how much time your chain takes to complete? When I did this for my build I got something crazy like 236, but I don't think that's right.... eh, at all, because Bill was talking about getting his over 200 on a post I saw, and I'm pretty sure I'm a bit lacking in the DPS department.

Would someone be kind enough to figger out my DPS for me? I wanna see how I can improve it.

    RWZ challenge?

What is this Arcana challenge you're talking about?

    Soloing AV's

Haha, thanks everyone, makes me feel good to hear I actually did alright

I'm planning on soloing Hro'Dtohz next, because I know I can do it. Hell, I got him to halfway on my claws/regen who had nothing but regen set bonuses.

    Soloing AV's

I had another post asking for help on a Claws/SR build, and I hit 50 and slotted a majority of it, however, I'm still lacking the recharge for perma-hasten (which will come once I finish slotting it) and a couple purple sets.

Today I just solo'd Infernal from Maria's first arc. I had to use almost a half tray of greens, which is not a problem for me, but I did it.

My question is... is Infernal a small fry in the AV world? I felt so proud, but I thought I might be over-exaggerating the victory. Any advice or tactics to soloing one to make my playing more efficient?
