I've been leveling an awesome fire/electric/fire blaster (blapper). Now that's two damage sets! AOEs and lots of single targets. Most fun I've had in awhile.

I experienced something strange the other day. I saw my Watchman TPB and had the urge to read it. I re-read many of my favorite series' every so often. Annually or so for many of them. So, nothing strange there, but this time a thought came to me; "I guess I could just watch the movie." The Watchman movie was very close to the comic visually, and even cut out all the pirate stuff that I find annoying and have skipped over the last couple of times of re-reading it. Anyway, I found myself torn, but since I don't own the movie the choice was to actually read it. I know that most films aren't direct adaptations of set storylines, but as more and more films are made, could they be? Will the same book vs. movie thoughts be relevant with comics vs. movie? So, since I'm poor and don't own the movie, comic won this time, but will it the next time?

The first one was good, but all the others were horrible. If they could do something good with the characters, why not make another?

I'm fine with Chris Evans. I've usually found him to be entertaining in most of the movies I've seen him in. I totally understand him not wanting to be in "every" comic book movie though. And the pressure of headlining an iconic character movie is totally understandable. I'm glad he accepted; I hadn't seen that trailer on that page before. The Tool music really made it all exciting along with lots of unseen action shots than in the previous ones. I'm getting excited about Captain America now.

Seems like a waste to me to toss out the impressively high number of issues on things like Action Comics and Detective Comics. You get a feeling of the history behind the label when you can count up the many years from the issue number.

I'd be quite happy to see an existing zone only partially redesigned for another era, say, Victorian Mercy Island or 1920s Kings Row. The devs don't have to start again from scratch necessarily.

I'll be trying out some of the EU servers because I tend to play during "off" times here in the states. I used to play regularly with a group of people from the UK, Australia, and New Zealand but they went to the EU servers years ago. Oh well. I welcome EU people to Virtue and look forward to seeing you on the EU servers.

Is there any possible way to use a different fire sword other than the Fire Scimitar or the Greater Fire Sword? I hate how they both look. I'd love to use the fire katana that the Oni Mastermind pet uses, or I'd love to try anything other than the fire swords available.

Nice rant. CoX eats up a lot of my free time as well. I should be taking courses online in my spare time, but I just love hitting/throwing/shooting/burning/smashing/destroying, and blowing stuff up with fireballs! If CoX weren't so awesome I'd probably be a Doctor or something by now......or I'd just watch more TV.

VERY upsetting for me. I moved the majority of my 50 toons from Freedom to Victory during the free server transfers. I have 50s and other toons on Virtue and I still have a ton of them on Freedom, but Victory is my main "home" on CoH and it's very frustrating to not be able to play when I have a little free time.

It's happening to me right now. I can view my characters on other servers, I only tried the other two that I have toons on, but when I try to get on the Victory server, it freezes for a minute and then returns me to the login screen.
Just checked the server status: Victory is the only one that's "Down". -

As well as Victory being down for awhile the other day, I have had problems getting it to load. Meaning that I select the server and the screen just sits there without moving for several minutes. Sometimes it goes ahead to the character select but other times it returns me to the login screen. What's up with the Victory server? -

I feel useless in the trials because of this. I lag and totally miss the target and waste a shot on many of my powers. Drives me crazy...
And, yes, I was on a failed BAF due to the prisoners and I was having difficulty getting any of my powers to activate to kill or slow them down.
I just want to punch the computer on the trials.... -
