I just think the smallville version looks better than that plastic piece of crap. That being said, I'm not a fan of the smallville costume either.

I think the colors help draw attention to that. But if I picture it in brown I find it's much more believable, but that first pic . . . gak.

I wouldn't mind more birdie heads. I'm dying to make The Wild Turkey. Of course to keep with a WKRP theme he won't be able to fly, he'll just jump off of tall building and fall flat on his face.

Because the Smallville version doesn't look like it was bought from a stripmall outlet selling Halloween costumes.

Yes they did. Returning players that liked GR bought older editions they were missing to get the perks as well as new players on trial accounts.

There were even threads here on the forums from players on trial accounts where our fellow forumites went out of their way to explain why it was cheaper to buy the complete editions vs the item packs because the free month was equal to 1 months subscription fee for each edition. So they would in effect only be spending $4.99 for each edition instead of $9.99 for the item pack.

They were even referred to retailers and online stores that were selling the editions for much less than $19.99 thus saving them even more money.

That's also not considering the players that bought multiple copies for their multiple accounts because not only did we want early access to DP and DS, we wanted the free month that came with the full edition.

Then there's the players like myself that not only bought the pre-purchase GR but got the Pre-Order complete edition from Gamestop because no one knew that promotion was going to be available when the pre-purchase was offered.

So yes there were a significant number of free months being used during the 4th quarter of 2010.

I do agree, these last few episodes have been much better than previous.
Wasn't one of the two shuttles the tomb of useless girls dad the long dead senator? If so how does she feel about abandoning daddy's corpse in some nameless solar system?

And how were they able to abandon him since they couldn't kick the shuttle out in the first place from inside the ship? Remember daddy sacrificed himself by sealing himself into the shuttle with the hull breach.

Or did the writers once again screw up because they forgot about daddy being dead in the second shuttle.

Maybe they found a third shuttle pad for the shuttle time travelling Rush brought back.

That's a problem with society and it goes back decades and it's roots begin when people started assuming they are entitled to handouts and teaching that attitude to their kids.

CoX sales in 4Q 2010 was about $2.85 mil USD
And did you include all the free months in your calculations? Cuz whenever anyone adds a new edition game code to their account they get a free month.

    CoH
    CoH Collectors Edition
    CoV
    Good vs Evil
    Mac Edition
    Architect Edition
    Going Rogue

That's 7 free months right there that are available to get at any time.

So how many players were using free months on their accounts in the 4th quarter of 2010 and how many of those accounts had more than one free month?

Since a quarter is only 3 months long and a player can get up to 7 months subscription free it's more than possible for players to not pay any subscription fee at all for over two full quarters.

We simply don't have enough detailed information to claim that those numbers are incorrect.

Do they get told "Okay, thanks for playing, but if you want to KEEP playing you'll have to go out and spend $800 on a new computer that can handle our newly awesome graphics."

Not a good plan, you'd see people jumping ship so fast it's not funny.

A major upgrade to the minimum graphics requirements would alienate a lot of players who don't have (and can't afford to buy) top of the line gaming rigs. And a new game engine WOULD be an upgrade to the minimum requirements.
I heard from a guy that knows a guy that told him that he has a cousin that knows the OP and he said that the OP told him he was going to buy everyone brand new top of the line computers.

No Iron I think he has a point about the favoritism. Just look at what's actually happening with this server list merge and see who really is getting shafted.

EU players will be getting 11 additional servers to play on.

NA players will only be getting 4. That's a 6 server difference in favor of the EU players.

EU players will be getting 132 free character slots.

NA players will only be getting 48. That's a difference of 84 characters slots in favor of the EU players.

EU players will have the option of buying an additional 264 character slots for their accounts.

NA players will only be able to buy an additional 96. That's a difference of 168 purchasable character slots in favor of the EU players.

It's pretty clear from those numbers that it's the NA players that are being screwed.

NA players should demand the same increases to our accounts that the EU players are getting to theirs. This blatant favoritism has to stop.

Oh and while the devs are at it, they should reschedule the server maintenance to the EU prime playing hours because our poor Aussie customers on the NA servers have been getting screwed out of their prime playing hours by the obvious EU favoritism for far too many years.

They need more zones for 40's level heroes, Paragrine Island is way too small, and portal missions get boring after a while--it's like doing train missions over and over. There needs to be more going on in Eden and Crey's Folly. Something could be done in the way of underwater adventures with Talos.
Dude there's 40+ zones heroside and the games population is spread across 15 servers and three factions. On top of all that the game is heavily instanced, meaning people spend most of their time inside of missions. So, there will always be virtually empty zones. Get used to it.

I'm going to suggest, again, that you - how can I put this nicely - tone down your enthusiasm while you type, and take the time to spell and punctuate correctly. Your posts are nearly unintelligible as you write them. This isn't a race, there's nothing "won" by getting a post out as fast as possible. Take the time to make it readable. You do, I assume, take your own ideas seriously. Present them in a way that makes others do the same.
Gonna have to /sign this and emphasize that in addition to taking time to to write coherent posts the OP needs take time to consider which section of the forums the post belongs in.

Since the devs flat out told us we were lucky when they decided to allow us to pull 10 enhancements off a build I wouldn't be surprised to learn a new respec system didn't allow us to pull any enhancements off a build.

I can easily see them requiring you to start at level 1 again for instance. Which many folks may not like.
Or what if they decide to remove the ability to pull enhancements off of a build during a respec. They always told us we were lucky they let us keep ten.

Oh I forgot to say many thanks Penny for finding that article. It's nice to have something more current on the topic than 4/2010.
  22. Originally the devs told us they weren't allowing recipe storage because they wanted to discourage hoarding. However with the new email feature we can store thousands of recipes on mules so there's a chance they may change their minds.

    That's only your opinion.

Some people love getting the respecs, some love the costumes, some love the temp powers, some love the free character slots. You were never promised that you'd always get something you like, only that you'd get something for keeping your account active.
