Correct. All snipers have an auto power which puts a self-immobilize on them (other stationary critters, like objects, Lusca, the Hydra head, etc. also have a self-immobilize). Snipers also have a 149ft perception radius, compared to the 45-54ft perception of minions-bosses.

However, Canine's claim that snipers ignore stealth is incorrect. They merely have very high perception - 149ft, to be precise. If you can get at least 149ft stealth (Hide offers 150ft, Superior Invisibility offers 200ft), you can sneak past a sniper.

This is the best argument against a duration increase. When you change zones (this includes entering/exiting a mission), the game loses track of who applied the buff. This means the original caster can reapply the buff a second time, allowing it to stack.

With a 4-minute timer, you can do this, but it's not really worth the time investment since the first buff will wear off soon enough that it makes no difference. With a 10-minute timer, you could multi-stack the buff and still have plenty of time on the clock before the first buff wears off.

It's interesting you say that, because Cryptic created the entirety of the super hero MMO market (two-thirds come November), as well as the Star Trek MMO. Any gamer who is also interested in either of those should have heard of Cryptic.

It's reasonable to say that Paragon Studios is "unheard of", since it's the third name that's been attached to CoH's development (Cryptic, NC NorCal, Paragon Studios). NCSoft, on the other hand, produced the first MMO to break 100,000 concurrent users in Korea (Lineage), and has been the producer for 10 different MMOs (2 closed), with another upcoming. They've also got a handful of non-MMO PC games, and boatloads of web-based games. NCSoft West, until recently, was also run by Richard Garriot, THE man in the MMO world. An MMO enthusiast who hasn't heard of NCSoft is living under a rock.

You should go, the fair is a lot of fun. I know they used to have a tiger show, but that's been replaced by a laser/light show; I don't know if they replaced it because they had to get rid of the tigers, or simply because the two shows both needed a lot of setup in the same spot with the special effects company the runs it giving more money. Also, the original voice actor for Big Tex died

But there's still some great live music, a bunch of shows (I always love the auto show and the Birds of the World show). There's the US Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, a wine garden, and at least two different dog shows. (Skidboot is gone though )

There's also the Midway (rides &c.), and the museums at Fair Park (which are open year-round) have special exhibits during the fair. Personally, though, I don't trust the rides on the Midway, since with the exception of the Texas Star (largest Ferris wheel in North America), all the rides are put up and taken down for the fair -- only the Texas Star is a permanent structure.

The fried Twinkies still scare me.

Well, just think: freeclimbing at 100 feet on a windy day is the same as freeclimbing at 1700 feet. If you fall, you're dead in both cases.

The data chunk is basically the textual representation of the build, compressed using zlib and output as a hex string. IIRC there's a little bit added before and after the compression, but that's the basic nature of the data chunk.

This. Fanciful versus gritty depends on genre I'm watching, not absolute like/dislike on my part.

That's why I played through Final Fantasy Tactics as a solo-Ramza 'challenge'. It's actually easier than normal gameplay, because after the first few battles, Ramza can take 30+ turns for every turn the enemy gets (except boss battles where it's more like a 10:1 ratio, and the final boss battle, where it's more like a 5:1 ratio), and so Ramza can simply punch people to death, repeatedly. Alternatively, you can teach him Holy and master the Calculator class, equip him with Excalibur (absorbs Holy damage) and blast the entire battlefield with Holy (1-2s animation) until everything else is dead.

No mention of Bleach? A battle in Bleach can sometimes last as long as an entire season of an unpopular anime.

Okay, now I'm getting annoyed at this thread. The power is O2 Boost, not Burst.

Also, if I had such a super power in real life, I would make a killing by opening up my own Oxygen Bar.
  14. I believe Synapse is in charge of reward systems, but when in doubt, ask the fearless leader (War Witch)
  15. It silly, but it's at least more practical than the reason I want Dark Miasma for Controllers: Terrorize + Fearsome Stare + Intimidate + Invoke Panic.

That's why you build a Sonic/Ice Blaster to slot the CotS healing proc in 3 AoEs (Siren's Song, Frozen Aura, and Flash Freeze/Sleep Grenade depending on APP). Then add the Entropic Chaos heal proc to your single-target blasts.

Darkness? Dominators are Control/Assault. There is no Darkness Control or Darkness Assault. What a Darkness Control set might contain is up in the air, but Darkness Assault would more than likely be a mix of Dark Blast and Dark Melee attacks, none of which grant stealth.

No, if and when Dominators get pri/sec access to stealth, it'll probably be in the form of Illusion Control (Superior Invisibility and Group Invisibility)

As a rule of thumb, never expect an official Mids' release until the issue/patch is actually on the live servers. Which I19 is far from being.

I can name a fair few, but the list of characters that would fall into that category which I can name is shorter than the list of anime I can name which don't contain a single character in the first list. (This still applies if you expand outward to male and gender-neutral characters rather than just girls.)

Also, I would argue the the super power of every x-man, etc. is their mutated genome, therefore Nightcrawler's power includes the tail.
