All that's really needed is a few Drones around the markets, and it will be completely safe for Power Supression. It's such an obvious answer, I don't understand why it's never been done.

[/ QUOTE ]The markets (WW and BM) already have a kill-field that is many times more efficient than drones.

Yeah level requirements for PvP drops are the same as normal drops. If you were exemp'd to 1 and killed that level 1 you'd get a chance at a drop, but as a natural 50 against a 1 you won't.

[/ QUOTE ]But... everyone is the same level in PvP...

I don't care at all about farming nerfs.

[/ QUOTE ]Pull the other one. It's got bells on.
4. [ QUOTE ]
It's always been random.

[/ QUOTE ]Not entirely. There are a few different patterns that a mission can follow, which you can also select for your MA arcs. A random spread of +0s and +1s is most common, but there's also pushing the +1s to the back of the mission, and adding -1s near the beginning.

Sadly that's unlikely to happen, given that I believe one of the Devs recently stated that they would rather add new content, than revamp old zones. They take about as much time/effort.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, the Shadow Shard still has a ton of story to be told and, iirc, is tied directly into "the coming storm" (was it not Rularuu that sent the Shivans?). So, it would actually make sense to do some soft of revamp with the Shard as they start unfolding that story.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've heard a lot of speculation about Rularuu being involved in The Coming Storm, but have never seen any evidence to indicate he was. (Or that he had anything to do with the Shivans at all.)

[/ QUOTE ]

You may be correct. I just scoured ParagonWiki and could not find any link. I could have sworn there was a relation, but it is very possible I may be wrong.

As for Fleeting's idea, I like it overall with one exception. As much as the devs hate redoing content, the Hero-side TFs need to be recreated using the now 5-mission formula. Much of the story that is given in the current TFs could easily be re-written into new story arcs available to both sides. To add onto that, I wouldn't mind seeing them overlap, storywise, where heroes are trying to do A, villains are trying to do B, and Rularuu is trying to do C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J.

[/ QUOTE ]I'm totally behind the old Shard TFs being redone, though the likelihood of it happeing seems low

My understanding is they've got about the same drop rate as purples. And they only drop off players. =/

The most likely reason it's not in Pocket D is, from my estimation, that they don't want Co-op pre-35 outside of special events.

My opinion on this is mostly.. well, apathy. I just don't care.

[/ QUOTE ]

This, and I don't see how it makes much sense, a novice hero and a amateur villain wanting to "play games" together.

[/ QUOTE ]It makes as much sense as the two of them having a beer together.

Besides, the alternative to being nice to "The Enemy" while you're in the D is having DJZ shunt you into your own personal pocket universe with no way out.

I also wouldn't mind seeing more done with the shard mythos, in general.

[/ QUOTE ]

Have you run Darren Wade's stuff villainside? I'm hoping it leads to a bit more.

[/ QUOTE ]Reposting an idea I've posted before, but been too lazy to actually make a thread for:

Current state of the Shadow Shard:
<ul type="square">[*]Firebase Zulu, controlled by the military and Portal Corporation[*]Cascade Archipelago, prison for Ruladak the Strong[*]The Chantry, prison for Faathim the Kind[*]The Storm Palace, home to Lanaru the Mad
Known Aspects of Rularuu the Ravager:
<ul type="square">[*]Ruladak the Strong, leader of the Brutes[*]Chularn the Slave Lord, leader of the Wisps and has slaves running The Factory Cubes[*]Kuularth the Scavenger, leader of the Natterlings and nests in The Repository[*]Aloore the Watcher, leader of the Sentries and field general in The Palace[*]Uuralur the Mirror, presiding over the Garden of Memories and the Shadow Shard Reflections[*]Lanaru the Mad, controller of the Storm Elementals and trapped in The Storm Palace[*]Faathim the Kind, imprisoned in The Chantry
So we've yet to see Chularn, Kuularth, Aloore, or Uuralu in-game. And Villains have no direct access tot he Shard.

Solution:
<ul type="square">[*]Create Firebase Alpha, an Arachnos-controlled Shadow Shard zone to counterpart Firebase Zulu[*]Create The Factory Cubes, a villain-only zone, and a Legend/Saga of Chularn strike force that takes place mostly in The Factory Cubes[*]Create The Repository, a villain-only zone, and a Legend/Saga of Kuularth strike force that takes place mostly in The Repository[*]Create The Garden of Memories, a villain-only zone, and a Legend/Saga of Uuralur strike force that takes place mostly in The Garden of Memories[*]Create The Palace, either a co-op or PvE competitive zone, and a Legend/Saga of Aloore task/strike force
Result:
<ul type="square">[*]1 Hero-only zone with no Aspects of Rularuu in it[*]3 Hero-only zones with one Aspect of Rularuu each[*]3 TFs, one for each Hero-only Aspect of Rularuu[*]1 Villain-only zone, with no Aspects of Rularuu in it[*]3 Villain-only zones with one Aspect of Rularuu each[*]3 SFs, one for each Villain-only Aspect of Rularuu[*]1 Hero+Villain zone, with the final Aspect of Rularuu in it[*]1 TF/SF that both Heroes and Villains can participate in for the final Aspect of Rularuu
It currently doesn't have the PVP IOs listed, which is something on my wiki-do list

[/ QUOTE ]Fury of the Gladiator (PBAoE Dmg), Gladiator's Armor (Res), Gladiator's Javelin (Ranged Dmg), Gladiator's Net (Hold), Gladiator's Strike (Melee Dmg), Panacea (Heal), and Shield Wall (Def). Any that I'm missing? Net and Strike had their set pages when I looked, and I fixed the set pages for Fury, Armor, Javelin, Panacea, and Wall just now. None have the individual IO pages yet, but the sets are there.
12. Not to mention Performance Shifter: Chance for +Endurance; not quite recovery, and is frequently slotted in Stamina anyways, but it does help with endurance management, and can be slotted in any power that accepts endurance modification.

Also, Panacea has a +End proc in the set, though you can only obtain it through PvP or the market, and I imagine it's pretty rare. (Healing set)

Spell check???

QR

I would say perfect spelling is not a requirement. Spelling well enough that errors do not significantly detract from the reading, however, is.

Yes, that "requirement" is rather vague, and is probably different for each person, but it's there. If you make enough errors in your writing that it hurts my eyes to read, there's a problem. If you write in dialect, or have the occasional simple typo (dropping a letter, esp. a silent one, often goes overlooked while reading), most people won't notice, or won't care.

The one peeve I do have about errors in writing, though, is making different errors every time. If you use "enough" four times in a paragraph and spell it four different ways, there's something wrong. If you use "enuogh" four times in paragraph, the same way each time... you're still wrong, but the consistency makes the error less jarring, and therefore less of a problem to read.

I think you meant to say Steel Canyon.

[/ QUOTE ]No, I checked before posting. It may be that the same model is re-used in both zones, but I only checked AP since I was there at the time.

Mastermind has only FIVE primary power choices
...
Dominators are also tied with blasters for the least amount of secondaries. These two, if any other AT, need some more variety.

[/ QUOTE ]Mastermind primaries are also unique to the AT; Dominator and Blaster secondaries are also unique to their respective ATs. This is why there are so much fewer of those kinds of sets.
19. [ QUOTE ]
This is exactly how I feel on this subject. You don't need more space for arcs. You need originality and some writing chops.

[/ QUOTE ]That's a ridiculous argument. What about the good writers, that have more than 3 stories to tell? Should they just "get better" and tell 10 stories with 3 arcs?

We also need a "rate later" or "pause arc. button for those times when you start an arc, play some of it and then realize you A. need/want to restart it with teammates. b. Its just not your sort of thing but you have nothing against it and just shouldn't rate it because you didn't play enough of it. C. Need/want to go help your SG, friend, etc with a mission, base raid, TF or whatever...and that means quiting architect mode.

In any of these circomstances you just want out of the arc for now without rating it...which could lead to artifical zero stars for the designer.

Phase light

[/ QUOTE ]

Woah! Hang on a minute. If we start an MA arc, and then either finish it or quit without touching the stars at all, that counts as a zero rating?

[/ QUOTE ]No. In order to give zero rating, you have to hit 1-star twice. If you don't touch any of the stars, there's no rating to count.
22. The FF proc has never prevented its effect from occurring. It has and still does prevent its own effect from occurring too frequently, but that's also apparently the intended behavior.
23. Yeah, I'd say PM Hero 1 about it if you want to know
24. [ QUOTE ]
Spell checking requires a dictionary to run comparisons with - dictionaries are several megs in size. Since the entire MA system is LOCAL (as in, everything you do when creating a mission is local-side and does not involve trading data with the remote servers) this requires that spellchecking be done locally.

So, while a few extra megabytes on a &gt; 1GB game probably won't kill anyone, its a big addition. I know a lot of companies shy away from integrated spellchecking in their software for that reason.

[/ QUOTE ]Last time I wrote a program with an integrated spellchecker, it used 3 dictionaries (English, German, and French); they were sized 540kb, 748kb, and 1911kb, respectively. 3.199mb total, and just over half a mb if I just used English.

Dictionaries really aren't that bad, especially since they're just text, and can therefore be efficiently compressed.

Edit: Firefox's English dictionary for its integrated spellcheck is 596kb.
