I understand a hatred towards DR, as it really does monkeywrench a lot of builds, but it does give the Powers team a lot more flexibility in what they are allowed to create.

It is easier to hide and not make any more pvp changes because this segment of the community is tough to deal with. They'll **** on you when you're wrong and they'll **** on you when you're right.

It's an issue with the contact list or any other lists. Trust me, rollback to 10.9 and it'll all be better.

If you are using ATI, drop down to the 10.9 drivers. I had the same issue with 10.12.
This fixed the contact list freezing problem. -

Fitzsimmons was never my main but the name was free so some months ago I created a peacebringer and PLd him to 50. Doubt I'll ever dump IOs into him but you never know! The name Fitzsimmons was more of an excuse to use Richard Simmons as an avatar. I love that guy!
I don't have a main but with near 60 50s, most built out I have a lot of toons that are fun to play. My namesake toon and my first villian (ss/stone) runs at 28mph in granite. I have yet to respec him but I can probably eek out a bit more run speed.
My favorite toon is probably my fortunata, Unsteady Eddie. He likes to drink his own urine. Top that Sicaridae!

I recall hearing about some sort of vault or program years ago but I don't know what happened with it.
With near 60 50s, most built out, I have inf, salvage and recipes all over the place. Short of me logging into each toon and accounting for everything in Excel (and maintaining it), it'd be nice to have a program that reads the info on all of my characters and tells me what I have.
So if I need 400 mil I can login to character x and email it over. If I need a numina unique, I can login to character y.
So on and so forth.

Uninstall the current drivers then run a driver cleaner program. Once that's done, reboot and install the latest drivers from NVIDIA. I'm not sure what program you're using on the site but the most straightforward method is to download the drivers from their site and run the install after making sure the old drivers are uninstalled.

You sure you updated the drivers? Yours are 2 years old. It's quite possible you installed new drivers over the old ones instead of uninstalling completely. I'd be really surprised if the latest drivers were back in January of 2009.

A few thoughts:
- Make sure you're not running Windows Blinds or any other special screensaver program
- Try running the program as Administrator
CohHelper and HijackThis will be more telling and folks should then be able to point you in the proper direction. -
Another thing that would help there is if they fix the ambiguity behind the login message / failure. It no longer says "your game version doesn't match".
It's misleading and confusing. -

I think the problem people are running into is for the -ps switch you need to run CohUpdater.exe and not CityofHeroes.exe. -

Yeah I know. Nice heading by the way in the other threads. I stole it and colored it yellow.
Hopefully folks start to see the proper workarounds for this. It's really not that difficult but I guess if you're frustrated or have a hot head, it'll make it more difficult to see the light. -
I edited it. For -project coh, use cityofheroes.exe. For the -ps crap which I don't use, use cohupdater.exe.

Right, you need to have the proper patch downloaded first, then you can use -project coh.
