The Cathedral of Pain

I just want to thank everyone tonight for a successful Cathedral of Pain Trial. I've been wanting to do it for months now, and not only did I do it, I did it with a PuG, which makes me very happy. Unpossible?, thank you very much for hosting it in your base, and thank you to the rest for your patience and your enthusiasm. I went in to this expecting to fail as I had no idea what was going to happen, but I was very pleasantly surprised when we completed it and did so as quickly as we did. 2 hours to form the teams and 20 minutes to run the trial... Thanks again Liberty!

I wish I could have run this with you guys. From the sounds of it you got started just after I logged off. Maybe next time I guess. Congrats on being able to pull it off though!

Ditto what G69 said. I would like to run this one day, I just am having a hard time getting on board with my schedule and what not. Congratulations though!!!

It must have been fun without me! The third time now, I got tired of waiting, and moments after I quit one of the teams, it started!!! This is why I don't do CoP!!!!!

Who has time to wait these days?

It did take a long time to form up, but then this was something that wasn't planned for. Hopefully, you'll get to complete this some other time Sukothai.

Dang, I wish I could of been there to help with this (and get the badge). Kinda figures it'd be run when I was at work.

Out of curiosity though, I have to ask. Who organized this, and what SG/VG were they from? Or if the organizer/leader wasn't from that SG, who organized/lead this, and what SG had the star for the three teams/lent their base for launching this?

I guess I'm the one that organized this. In game, I'm @mourde. My normal SG is the True Blues, but I ran it with my crab spider who wasn't in that group. @Unpossible? allowed us the use of his SG for the event and invited me to his SG for it. I honestly can't remember the name of his SG and I apologize for that.

Huh, I was just thinking to myself "I wonder what happened to those CoP runs that were happening a couple months ago". There were a few attempts, some successful, some not, posted and organized on the forums. Haven't seen one in a while, and I'd like to try again. Sorry I missed it!

Well, the CoP is not my favorite event - but, if it will help anyone, I've got a raid portal in my base, and I can lead a team for this. My problem is my work schedule. Most of the times that many of you are available and willing, I'm either sleeping or working.

I could do one Monday night, 11:00 pm Eastern. (or later)
That's about the only time I can be sure I won't get called into work.

They only take an hour - and about an hour to form.

It can be challenging getting 24 people to gather in the same place at the same time, committed for an hour.

I do think it would be a good idea for everyone involved to get these three temp powers:

Rescuscitator (Ally)
Ring of light (the 8 day self res temp power from Pocket D)
Envenomed Dagger

I don't think there needs to be that much focus on "balancing" the teams, but there does need to be several debuffers. But, better to go with what works.

I'm in. I can surely make it til 1 a.m.....I made it til 1:08 last night! (See I'm training for this event). I have a rez power so I don't think I need the ally one (altho oddly enough I do have it, I got excited when I got it. I thought it was self rez lol).

Oh I still have a bunch of toons that need this, just that time is never good for me lol

I can make Monday's at 8:30 ish PST start. I can contribute a blaster or tank. I've only run this once but the raid seems fairly simple. Hardest part is remembering where your original mob is between spawns.
