I buy plenty of stuff from the market, now give me sloth stomping dinosaurs!
-
Ok, I've done a few missions of it so far and it seems to be pretty good, except for one thing... I notice a lack of dinosaurs. Strangely absent from this game are our Jurassic friends. I had a friend complain earlier tonight about "all this Cthulhuesque crap lately". Now, as I said, I like the Nightward stuff, but maybe he has a point. Each issue we get seems to be a continuation of the last, and that's ok with me. But other people like a change of scenary occasionally, and I think a great change would be dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are always fun to fight and we have multiple instances in comics where heroes fight dinosaurs, by going back in time or going to lands that time forgot. Large teams can get together and defeat that tyranosaurus rex who was quite happily stomping on sloths. Or for zone events you might have to stop that wave of raptors or maybe redirect a brontosaurus from running into the local buildings. The possibilities are endless!

Has anyone else been standing around in atlas park and all of a sudden would see a shadow of a helicopter pass by? I have, several times now, but when i look up, there's nothing there... Anyone have an explanation for this?

Honestly, I think I might be against most pets that can't keep up with today's fast paced heroes. This isn't to say that I am against having these wonderful animals in our city, however I do believe that they are best kept by those who are well versed in the proper usage of said animals, for instance zoo keepers. Except sloths, who are evil and out to take over Paragon City. If you love sloths, you are probably being mind controlled.

I think it would be in our best interests to not have sloths as a summonable pet in the game. Thank you.

The Devs could just say this whole thing is not worth it and give up entirely. Let's hope you guys don't push them towards that option. The developers have lives too, you know. They also have goals they need to accomplish at work. 4pm to 7pm is the time they set aside for this, and that to me says they are extending their time at work to accomplish a goal. They needed as many people to show up in one place as possible, so they offered incentives to try to make this happen. For some people, that incentive is a badge. Some people don't care about badges. For other people, the incentive is to do a limited time event. But these incentives are there to for the developers to accomplish a goal, and that goal is to get as many people as possible into one server at one time as they can, and are able to observe the results. If they spread out the time of the event, they are defeating the purpose of their goal. If they have the event across multiple servers, then they are defeating the purpose of their testing. They chose a time and place that would allow them to get the most people they could to get their jobs done and then let them move on with their own lives. Sometimes, not everyone can be happy. I think we all need to accept that and move on with our lives.

Wow, I was really impressed with this. You did a fabulous job, and I liked the hints on how to make better costumes, as well as you letting us know which costume pieces were used and if they came from a pack. I'm hoping to see more issues.

I have to admit, I'd really love to see Brass Monday in an Oroborous arc.

i liked this article as it seemed to give us more insight into the developers than most other articles we read.

Omega Maneuver. It's not the best damage, but it is the best nova animation in my opinion.
-
There was. It was an anouncement made in the community digest, even if it was a bit impromptu due to the servers having extended maintenance

So, today, while the servers were down, Zwillinger was kind enough to open a UStream broadcast and entertain us. Even better, there were cameo appearances by Dr. Aeon and War Witch. Codes were given out, Lore questions were answered, and a bit of fun was had by all. Personally, I'm a fan of this, and I hope that you do this more often Z. Anyone else feel the same?

I think a lot of people were distracted by the adorable baby. The Devs just told us that more Rularuu arcs were mentioned in a discussion. After that, the words Well and Furious were brought up, with another mention of how some players are smart enough to take a HINT.
Fortunately, I have previous exposure to said baby and was able to pay attention. -
I think April 19th sounds right to me, based on the amount of time Beta has been going, although I wouldn't be surprised if the Devs waited until the 28th either.

These are all really good and I can't wait to see them in-game... Good work people!

My thinking is that everyone should run more task forces, and if you run them with me, so much the better!
-
I guess I'm the one that organized this. In game, I'm @mourde. My normal SG is the True Blues, but I ran it with my crab spider who wasn't in that group. @Unpossible? allowed us the use of his SG for the event and invited me to his SG for it. I honestly can't remember the name of his SG and I apologize for that.

It did take a long time to form up, but then this was something that wasn't planned for. Hopefully, you'll get to complete this some other time Sukothai.

Tonight, I was able to try another of my crazy experiments. I've been told that the only way to get the Midnight Dodger What Dodges at Midnight badge is to nuke Director 11. I don't believe that and set out to prove that you can get the badge by using HVAS, which in my opinion are easier to obtain.
After the Mothership Raid tonight, I asked several people to join me for a Tinmage TF. I asked that people bring an HVAS to it, and I asked that they didn't use Nukes or Shivans.
In our first attempt to go after Director 11, we just let the Heavies loose inside the building, without bringing the AV to the door. D11 went down fairly quickly, but 1 bomb was set off, making the first test a failure.
We completed the TF anyways, and tried again. This time, we pulled the AV to the door and then dropped all 8 heavies on top of him. He went down very quickly, and I got my badge, which also netted me the Master of Tinmage badge! Yay!
Thanks @Aerik, and thank you Robo and all the people in your Lounge for taking the time to try this. It's good to see that there is more than one way to get the badge, and I'm glad that people were willing to help me try this crazy little experiment. -
I just want to thank everyone tonight for a successful Cathedral of Pain Trial. I've been wanting to do it for months now, and not only did I do it, I did it with a PuG, which makes me very happy. Unpossible?, thank you very much for hosting it in your base, and thank you to the rest for your patience and your enthusiasm. I went in to this expecting to fail as I had no idea what was going to happen, but I was very pleasantly surprised when we completed it and did so as quickly as we did. 2 hours to form the teams and 20 minutes to run the trial...
Thanks again Liberty!

GenCon in Indy is my vote. It's about as midwest as you can get, has a huge number of attendees, and just happens to be somewhere I could get to in order to see you guys!

The True Blues on Liberty has been around since shortly after we could form supergroups, and still has most of the core group of players.
