Some Tankers build them selves wrong, and some people shouldnt play Tankers at all.Also, if your rushing into a mob of Purples on a Scrapper, then your more then likly IO'd with Purples your self to accomplish this, or your a /Invln Scrapper using Unstoppable or a Electrical Armor using Surge.Both are possible.

In my personal Experiance, iv let people who have no patience charge in first, in hopes they die.That way they either leave the team, or figure out they should be patient and wait a second longer to let me go in first on my Tankers.

As for you out performing a Tanker?Your prolly playing on Freedum, and that should answer your questions right there.

Also, youv got a chip on your shoulder.....You might wanna have that looked at..its in the shape of a Butt.

Why build for Melee Def %?

Wouldnt it be way more powerful for Electrical Armor to have Global Recharge and Regen put into it?Yes...yes it would....

Its interesting to see this post this morning.Since iv recently created a Dark/Elec Defender for PvE Farming and PvP uses.

I find it Ironic that very shortly after I do a Sewers Run or get to 20 and head for Talos with any new toon, and perform like a Tanker on it it gets brought up in a post on the forums.

Maybe its a Coincidence, maybe not.I just find it funny.

Almost forgot.My favorite defender Primary is Traps.It would be a exccellent mix with Ice Blasts.

From my Experiance with a Fire/Pain Corr.Id say take all the AoEs you can get.Including Fire Breath and Inferno.As for Skippable Trap powers...None.

I have been fiddling with this question my self and have decided on Dark Miasma.I love the Dark Servant and the heals.Not to mention things Miss alot.

I have a high level dark/dark Defender that does perfectly in all situations for PvE...and so so for PvP.

Im making a new Dark/Elec because itll handle both well.So I answered my Question by overall ability.Iv got more damage with Elec Blasts then Dark Blasts due to Aim, and not to mention i can -regen and -recovery massivly in pvp from the coupling of these sets.

Try Dark/Archery, if you dont like it, try something else.Its the only real way to find what fits you.

My veiw on it is that people will play hem, or not play them, reguardless of the side they choose to put them on.Ill be making a Plant/Thorn Dominator once GR comes out.Mainly because Redside is a bit under gifted in many areas.So its going to be Blue Side.

I just think PvP will become rediculous when GR comes out to, and Doms will have to worry about Stalkers at that point as well.So im not going to be so upset the next time a Dominator 3 shots me in PvP...because they will have it comming to them soon enough.

I hate Dominators in PvP way more then I do Stalkers.I have a half way chance agenst a Stalker.So ill be making a Stalker just to hunt Doms.

I can answer some pvp questions, and give some details on the Storm set.

Tornado for one, doesnt obey the same rules as the player in pvp, itll screw whoever its on with repel and KB.

Also, the -toHit is still extreemly powerful in PvP...even with DR.

If you wanna straight Murder someone, make a Storm Corr or Defender with Electrical Blasts.

Iv been PvPing latly and have understood how things have been comming around witht he new PvP rulse my self.

I my be remaking a old FA/SS build my self, but Elec/SS would work just as good for what your looking for.

I personally dont like to play and try to avoid power sets like Kinetics and Empathy because of the rude behavior iv seen other players use agenst the player with that set.

Iv seen a Empathy get kicked from a team I was on before because it couldnt keep the entire 8 man team alive on a +4 Mission.Iv also seen way to many people on a Kin get yelled at for not giving out a Speed Boost the moment it dropped on another player.

Bottom Line for me.I dislike playing a power set that people belive is the end all and only way to play the game.I also wont make a character if it cant solo a 8 man mission by its self with just SOs.

I find the rudest people in the game to be those who suck without the best buffs or heals in the game.They perfer to blame you for there issues.

Postagulous, your pretty much right with your assessment, and im great to team with.Most other people suck with even the highly advertised builds.Im great with the sucky ones.

As for the rest of you mouthy people who wanna pound on someone because they wanna try something you wouldnt?Understand that just because you want someone to troll on or thread jack, doesnt mean im going to listen to your lame mouthing about how im a moron simply because you say so.I really dont care how many of you there are, just because theres more of you types of snarky, arrogant, and self absorbed people who think somethings only 1 way, and only that way, doesnt make you right, at all.

After Playing TA, im rather surprised this Thread still exists.Theres nothing wrong with TA.

My apologize for wanting to play something out of the normal, and if the build sucks, wouldnt that be my choice in the first place to play it?Im not sure telling me that I should go with more popular builds is the way to go when on a game that gives you choices past the popular builds reguardless of there performance.

As for asking for a build on a silver platter that isnt Mid's Grown?I dont know how difficult that would be, so I apologize yet again?

Also, I have no idea how easy it is to Perma Dull Pain, and I do have some small amount of knowledge for IOs, and Ill most likly be adding a Damage Proc to Focus, and use that attack alot in PvP.Might work, might not, but isnt that my call to try it?

Ok, im about to ask the unthinkable from the forum goers for a Scrapper I want to gear for PvP.

Im going with a Claws/Invln build.Im requesting the following for my build.

High Global Recharge IOs, additional Damage through Global Damage IOs, Additional Resist IOs, Moderate Recovery IOs, and minor to Moderate Accuracy IOs.

My focus will be on excellerating my Dull Pain to be recharged fast first and formost, and the rest of the requested IO increases are secondary concern.

I would perfer not having it in a Mids format, but a mapped out IO and Slot chart for use.

Purple IOs will be fine, I finally have a farmer I can live with.

For the most part iv never really thought about performance at just level 50 for most of my toons.I perfer to rotate to diffrent PvP Zones at times with the same build.So I tend to make sure I build for all the Zones to be competitive in all PvP feilds.

The Exemplar system is by far a great advancement in this game.I was recently on a +4 Battle Maiden Farm with a level 18 Scrapper.I gained a single level and 3 bars from start to finish.I went back to the sewers right after that and joined a newby lvl 2 sewer team and gain 2 and a half levels in the same amount of time it took to do the +4 Farm.

The only reason for this was even at +4, the farm was sub-par to what I could get in Sewers.Maybe because the experiance was slower due to the enemies not going down very easly.Either way, there may be a mechanic imight have become aware of recently.That involves what I call a throw back experiance.

I made a Blaster and at level 1 I dropped a solo Fallen Buckshot of level 2.It gave me 4 bars of experiance.I then took out a level 1 Fallen Buckshot.It gave me 5 bars.1 Bar away from level up.

This made me think, Maybe I was just seeing things?So I made sure.I erased the blaster, and remade it again and found another level 1 Fallen Buckshot.I killed it, and I got Bar bars.Then i found a level 2 Bucksshot,.....and got 4 bars.

Im not completely sure, either it was just a odd circumstance, or a bug, but whatever it was, it makes me question harder content in a solo format.

Im thinking of making a Farming Stalker, cause im not really that strong Villian side.

Itll prolly be a Elec/Energy Build.
