Maybe the stripe and over saturated colors is for CGI motion match and will be painted out.

A nearby supernova is also on my list of things I do and don't want to be around to see.
Edit: Also Betelgeuse is 643LY (+/146LY) away, not 1300 as stated in that article. -
I think it's the same species as Ted Koppel's hair.

From what I remember the story was Lucas had Carrie Fisher's breasts bound to de-emphasize her breasts.

I love FETs, they are small, compared to chemical pumped lasers and the method behind inducing the laser effect is downright funny.
Basically when you shake (the "official" term is wiggle) electrons hard enough, they will emit photons. Change the frequency you shake them, they produce light at difference frequencies (from infrared through X-rays). True, you need a linear accelerator to first get the electrons up to near light speed first and at reasonable density but that's relatively easy to do. -
Quote:No, what I remembered was this.I think all 3 of you are talking about the same guy, lol. And like the 3 of you, I can't seem to remember his name, but remember the thread. I imagine he'll chime in at some point.
EDIT: Here it is. -
I seem to remember a thread about using a DDR pad and another device to play.

Quote:She makes fashion models look full bodied. I loved her commentary track from the first PotC movie where she thought the makeup crew should have gotten an award for airbrushing the impression of cleavage on her.Kiera Knightly doesn't have the lung capacity to fill out a Catwoman suit properly.
Actually I'm glad she hasn't gone the enhancement route to look like every other blond, skinny but top heavy actress. -

Awful fight scenes were the staple of 60s action TV. Watch some original Wild Wild West (which was on opposite of The Green Hornet) or even Kirk's fisticuffs from the original Star Trek. And since the show was shown at the family friendly time of 7:30, before The Time Tunnel, it wasn't going to be too heavy, but it wasn't campy like Batman.
1966 Primetime Lineup
SyFy had a Green Hornet marathon on last week and it's action only looks campy compared to today's TV action programs like Human Target or Nikita. -
The Bachelor is ABC, The Cape is on NBC. WSB-TV is an ABC affiliate so no surprise about The Bachelor. NBC is on 11 Alive, WXIA.
-
I like the fact that it's unsure if the cape has mystical origins or not. It expands the possibilities beyond natural/science/tech based heroes and villains.

Chuck has nothing on Maison Ikkoku when it comes to "will they or won't they" due to assumptions, miscommunications and outright sabotage.

Further research pulled up as an insulting term for people with Down's Syndrome.
-
You must of missed the Blazing Saddles quote thread which discussed this particular quirk of the profanity filter. The guess was it's an insult to Asians.

My big concern in this solar cycle is a large enough geomagnetic storm that ends up blowing a reasonably large percentage of substation transformers, all at the same time.
Our modern society is so dependent on electrical power for refrigeration to maintain a constant availability of food, not to mention manufacturing and medical, that destroying 10-15% of the distribution grid overnight would cripple the country for years. Utilities simply don't stock enough spares for an event like that and post event the ability to manufacture replacements may be crippled.
Anyways the latest guesstimate for solar max is June/July 2013. -
George Lazenby was a good Bond. But the public liked Connery and didn't like the switch in actors, especially to an unknown. It also didn't help with him with the character going full Scott with Kilt with the funnier accent while he was undercover.
Now Moore had a great deal more exposure here in the US and the UK as The Saint so if you were going to change leads, changing it to someone people know and accept in those roles is a plus.
Moore got way too campy and world ending for my taste. I prefer spy vs spy and cold war espionage stories over disaster averting stories like The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker and A View to a Kill.
As for Brosnan, people in the US wanted him after Moore due to his popularity in Remington Steel. But due to commitments the studio was forced to pick another and went with Dalton, who tried out to replace Connery years before. -
It probably did go longer but ended up edited down for time. Also how many people watching Chuck remember old Danny Kaye movies?
-
So would anyone be upset if they came out with Superman body spray or Green Lantern aftershave?

Well this really belongs in it's own thread over at the tech board but nobody in the old "Ultra Mode graphics" thread ever said that the HD 5770 would allow you to crank it to 11. It's a mid range video card, good for 1600x900 or so gaming.
The general scuttlebutt is the 10.9 driver is currently best driver for this game. Has the fewest quirks.
And if we are talking laptops here and not desktops, the mobile HD 5770 is only as powerful as a desktop HD 5570.
Start a thread on the Tech board with a CoHHelper and HiJackThis report and we can see if there's any suggestions to improve your performance. -
It wasn't anything about Season 3's plots. The first two seasons were a joint venture with ABC being one of the partners, when Disney bought ABC they dropped all cartoons that weren't Disney based. That's why the first two seasons have been tied up and never released before.
Now without ABC's standards and practices meddling, Mainframe was able to give Dot proper breasts and could reference hockey (Google Reboot hockey ABC) in the third season. -
That's right. It wasn't until Reboot showed up on CN in the US that we got to see the 3rd season and the follow on movies.
Still don't know what was funnier. Gillian Anderson doing Data Nully in the X-files episode or the appearance of Sailor Moon inspired binomes. -

At least it's a daughter he hadn't seen in a long while. Otherwise last weeks fetch the poison chicken drive by would have blown her cover.
I like how they fit in Ms Glau's ballet 1337 skillz into the episode. I think she now likes Max and his crew. Evil magician was a nice change in villain. All the bad guys shouldn't be tied to Chess.
