Voice commands and other non-conventional input methods
Most games I do use mouse-n-keyboard, but I got a Xbox controller for Christmas this year and used it for a Certain Other game and it made that game A LOT easier and more fun to play. I know a while back I remember seeing something where a guy used a macro program, and Microsoft's voice recognition software to play STO. I think he still had to use WASD and all to control the ship, but he could say "fire all phasers" and the ship would start firing.

Recently, there was a player who was developing a hand signal recognition system he had hooked up to play City of Heroes with that I know. It was too long ago for me to find the thread, however, as I remember neither the player name nor the thread title.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

Someone had a video of them controlling the game with motion capture of some sort. Was very cool.
I seem to remember a thread about using a DDR pad and another device to play.

I think all 3 of you are talking about the same guy, lol. And like the 3 of you, I can't seem to remember his name, but remember the thread. I imagine he'll chime in at some point.

There's a DDR controller for MMORPG's and Footpedals.
There's also X-keys-

Lot of crazy controllers there.
Not a different input device, but I enjoy playing the game zoomed way into first person. Try playing COH as a first person shooter. It feels like a whole other game. It is harder but also quite refreshing and the graphics really shine through.

I did notice that I couldn't use the voice command software with CoH/V/P.
Of course, that could be (and most likely is) an ID10T error on my part.
There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"
I've used a gamepad for CoH occasionally. I've never stuck with it, though: twelve buttons just isn't enough.
I've used a PS3 controller to play CoH/V before.

So most everyone playing CoH is using the standard mouse and keyboard setup. I'm curious, though - is anyone using less standard means to play? For example, anyone have experience with using voice commands to play MMOs? Or something else that involves, well, less used means of control? If so, care to share your experiences?
