Yea my bad. My first thought was to pick up AS to go for Fly.
Thanks for all the feedback guys -
Hio guys. I'm running a Earth/Rad troller and so far I'm having great fun with it. Even without DOs/SOs I can manage to hit Fossilize and Stone Cages quite often. Yes, RI does helps a lot but I've heard Earth powers are quite accurate by itself. Here goes the build I'm planning to follow:
Level: 50
Archetype: Controller
Primary: Earth Control
Secondary: Radiation Emission

01) --> Containment==> Empty(1)
02) --> Rest==> Empty(2)
I haven't decided between Primal and Fire epics yet. I do know how Primal works and I love it, but I really think I could use some damage output on latest levels.
About Volcanic Gasses.. I might put 1acc in there but I've been told that it doesn't make such a great difference. I figured this power works pretty much like Spectral Terror from Illusion, so I'm not thinking of it as an opening power. I'm guessing that the safest way of starting a fight should be with Stalagmites. My control chain will look pretty much like this: Stalagmites -> Stone Cages -> Debuffs -> Volc Gasses -> QuickSand. Earthquake might be a good opening power aswell.. I think I'll need to level up first and test it to see how it goes.
Advices are welcomed. Cheers -
I got a couple questions about this power:
- Does it works like Mass Hypnosis (aggro-free)?
- I'm planning to make an Ice/Rad troller. If I use Flash Freeze and then debuff them.. Will they break free immediatly?
Thanks in advance

Theres a recent topic about Kat/SR alrdy mate:
http://uk.boards.cityofheroes.com/showfl...ge=0#Post700484
Anyway, here are some suggestions:
- Don't slot Sting and Flashing with 2 recharges. With quickness 1rech should do fine. Put those slots either on FA (its really end heavy, you should consider put +2EndRed on it) or add an extra EndRed to your toggles.
- AidSelf doesn't need 3interrupts. With SR you should do just fine with 1 or 2interrutps. Put a recharge in there instead.Hope it helps.
- About Soaring Dragon and Golden Dragonfly.. I always hated to miss my best attacks, so I would take off one recharge and put another accuracy instead. But that's up to you
Hope it helped a bit. -
It's pretty hard to make an invulgar build nowadays. As far as you have fun, go for it
Welcome to Defiant mate.
-
I'll be there for some PA dropping
And this time I can fly on my own! *giggles*
-
Siphon Life and Taunt are worthless but I'd pick Dark Consuption so you could probably skip Stamina (and save 3 powers). From Regen skip Revive and maybe MoG (pick Resilence and Tough - the 3 powers you saved by skipping stamina). I'm too lazy to make a build right now but I might put one later on if still needed. Have fun

Gj guys! Acc/mez hamio for me
We should make party @ Atlas after a sucessful hami. Cya next time.

I have a few but mine would have to be back in I6 during the Eden Trial with my main hero, a MA/SR, around level 38 or 39 at the time. We were an 8-man team and we managed to reach the Crystal Titan. We rescued the captured heroes and cleared a path to the Titan. And we started to pull it in, and then we attacked.
At the time we didn't know that attacking the Crystal Titan would agro the other nearby crystalline monsters. We were being overwhelmed. One by one my teammates were faceplanting. I clicked Elude. And a few seconds later I was alone. The Crystal Titan still has 1/5 of his life left, and dozens of crystalline monsters were attacking me all around.
I kept fighting the Crystal Titan. People shouting for me to run. I kept going. The Titan managed to get a lucky shot in and took more than half my life. I use my last green inspiration. My dead teammates shouting for me to run earlier, started shouting for me to win. The messages turned from "RUN!" to "KILL HIM!"
After about 2 minutes of this, the Crystal Titan finally fell to the ground as I delivered my final kick, and the message "TASK FORCE COMPLETE" flashed on the screen. My teammates cheered their hearts out. I continued to dodge the attacks from all the crystalline monsters around me. I was still in awe at what just happened that I stood their for a few seconds forgetting that Elude will soon crash and I'm still surrounded by dozens of hostiles.
I got my bearings and started attacking them, then Elude crashed, and we all exited. I was still a little shaky afterwards. My brother was also on that team and we were playing together in the same room. He was cheering behind me when the Titan fell. I just wish I had a demorecord of the whole thing.
That to me was one of the best MMO gaming experiences in my entire life. I actually truly, undeniably felt like a real superhero in a movie or a comicbook. The sort of moment when all the chips were down, fighting against all odds, and you were the final hope, and in the end you delivered.
As for PvP, defeating a Brute and a Stalker at the sametime in RV. The duo defeated two other heroes earlier and decided to attack me. It was an epic fight. I was down to 1/4 life when I defeated the Stalker, and had to defeat the Brute without Elude, but I had already damaged him a lot when the Stalker went down. At the final moment, the Brute's tier 9 power crashed and he lost all his endurance, he tried to run but I went in for the kill.

This was exported from US forums. It's just awesome. Had me cheering while I was reading it ;] -
It really depends on how do you want to feel: like the Matrix guys? Dodging bullets and stuff; or like Wolverine: kicking arrse without downtime with your uber regen rate? Both SR and Regen are uber. The main difference is that Regen offers you a fast early lvling and doesn't force you to pick stamina at 20 (or you might not pick stamina at all).
-
I've been reading US forums for a while and I've found an interesting post with CoHUS Scrappers best moments, telling how great they felt with their toon while fighting certain foes (I think you usually feel that great when all your team mates are dead and your still standing and kickin [censored] - it's weird but its a fact). Anyway, I've decided to open this post cuz I do believe EU players also have some damn nice moments that you can share
Feel free to post it

right...I'm going to roll a new toon called:

I did tried to edit that post but I was lagging a bit, then I forgot :P Nicely done too Monkey -
Ouch.. I'm not much of a PvPer but the result show pretty much everything. I've never seen Frozen Electrum but I'll assume hes a Ice/Elec blaster? Nice going PD.. as usual.

I've thought of doing a BS/SR a few weeks ago but I only lvled him to L6 :P It's a very powerful set, no doubt about it. However, BS/Regen with the incredible power of DP+IH has always been impressive to me. Plus, with Quick Recovery (basically a low lvl cheat) you won't have End issues which means you'll level quite faster (it's still good to have Stamina later on for Focused Accuracy or any other toggles you might get).
-
I don't think you'll be an effective Scrapper without Stamina (Regens can do fine). Dark Consuption isn't enough IMO.

False Fiction (Illusion / Kinetics / Primal)

Even if I'm quite unexperienced with this Hami raids I congratulate Magus for his great job and organization. It will be a pleasure to join you lot again on the next time (hopefully without that unknown moron).
Thanks for all those who helped me and explained me the several phases of the Hami raid (Especially Bob and Mesmer).
False Fiction -
I don't think DM is weak. The attacks may not have as cool animations as the other primaries but the combination DM/SR seems pretty strong to me.
1) You'll have a pretty good attack chain by L6. I'd go for Smite, Shadow Maul and Air Superiority (KB the foe then use SM before he stands up - works great)
2) A self heal by L8. No other set offers you that, so most ppl are forced to go for Aid Self. Others pick Siphon-Life + Aid Self (wich increases their survivability a lot)
3) Two PBAoE's: Dark Consumption (+End self) and Soul Drain (+acc +dmg self) that deal moderate damage.
4) A great acc debuffer: Touch of Fear
5) Midnight Grasp offers a good damage (6,3) while immobs the foe and decreases accuracy (well, all DM attacks do that)
Anyway, we're still accepting suggestions and tipsMA surely is cool and does nice dmg but it doesn't have as good synergy as Katana/BS/DM can offer. ( I hope MAs try to prove me I'm wrong - Just trying to highlight the pros of each primary
)

Ahoy! A friend of mine will soon start his career as a hero. I've already talked to him and he is sure he wants to pick a SR Scrapper ( he is a huge fan of Matrix, so the idea of dodging stuff sounds great for him ). So now his only doubt is wich Primary to pick. I said to him that DM (cuz of the acc debuff and self heal), Katana and BS (for Parry and DA) are the best choices. However, I'm not an expert SRer so I dunno how to advise him. I'm trying a SR myself when he starts and I'll probably go for MA/Katana/DM. Any tips? Thank you

It's 5% defence for a 3Slotted Weave and 17,5% resistence for a 3Slotted Tough (IIRC)

Have a qustion about follow up and no point starting a thread.
Does it have to hit to get the buff?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, you do have to hit. I'm L14 and I hit 90% of the times and the downtime is somewhere around 2secs. For PvE 1accuracy SO and 1Recharge should do fine (remember that you can make it perma, so by the 2nd time you hit FUp it will have the boost from the previous FUp. That's why I think 1acc SO will do fine)
