bs/regen vs bs/sr
BS/SR can suffer from end in early levels, buf once you got some endrdx SOs propperly slotted it can manage very well, even with FA on. Besides quickness wnables you to slot attacks 1 acc 3 dmg 1 rechred 1 endrdx which would enable you to be fine only with Hack, Disembowel and Headsplitter (and Parry and BU from primary, of course), and always having at least one of them up. Best advice would be teaming with end buffers (kin, rad or empaths) in the beginning and later on, when possible, ALWAYS accept a bubbler in your team. You will really feel like a granite with FF buffs on your SR
i just respecced my BS/sr to having aid other and its working really well, with two interrupts in it i can sometimes get a heal off mid DoT.
as Dark Blas says, once you're slotted up and high enough i found i just stopped using slice and parry nearly as much as (with hasten) disembowl and headsplitter are up for use so much.
Also see if you can get disembowel and build up (plus hasten) slotted up for pre 30, this way you can one shot critical kill stalkers in sirens
@ExtraGonk
bs/Sr for the zones. bs/regen for the arena.
I've only played an MA/SR and MA/* is (I think) far less end-heavy then BS/*, but in the late game I was not having end problems at all. By the time you run into end-draining mobs you have elude. If you ever get in trouble with end while fighting (for example) malta, hit elude and you'll be unstoppable for the duration
That and, IMO, in the later lvls */SR gives better survivability then /Regen. My MA/SR has outtanked tankers ;-) (although dragon's tail helps a LOT)
TG
I have a BS/SR scrapper.
In the early levels I suffered alot with end issues, ie/ having to rest after every 3 fights or so.
I think this is mainly due to the toggles, but I just made sure I had a full slot of blue inspirations to pop when needed.
After stamina, end was not really an issue, I did 3 slot stamina with end mod, I also slotted my SR toggles with a couple of end red as well.
I loved this build, all the other scrappers I have tried do not compare to this one.the damage is amazing, quickness does help with the recharge rate of attacks as well.
And I also took the body mastery epic power pool for end boost power (forgot what it is called), which also helped a lot.
Hope this helps...
bs/sr is hard work to get high but once there it rocks
always get aid self with SR

In a team with a buffing defender (Emp/Kin/Bub) BS/SR is a monster. In the absence of a tank you'll be able to hold several +2 foes, Lt's and Bosses included, with liberal use of Slice with little worry. I recall my Bs/Sr scrapper holding a corridor against a dozen +1 Council soldiers with an Emp/Elec defender backing me up. Great fun!
You'll have a tough time until you can get Practiced Brawler almost permanent but after that and with Stamina cushioning your End' it should be plain sailing.
I've thought of doing a BS/SR a few weeks ago but I only lvled him to L6 :P It's a very powerful set, no doubt about it. However, BS/Regen with the incredible power of DP+IH has always been impressive to me. Plus, with Quick Recovery (basically a low lvl cheat) you won't have End issues which means you'll level quite faster (it's still good to have Stamina later on for Focused Accuracy or any other toggles you might get).

The real gift is that high damage dished out by each attack from Broadsword. Most of the time you can usually drop a minion in three hits (two with Build Up or a critical on Hack). The faster your opponents drop the less chance they have to hurt you. This makes a big difference in the early levels as both Regen and SR can be a bit squishy in the early levels. With the addition of Parry you have a really decent way of supplementing your defence.
I'm having some trouble coming to a decision about a char. While recently playing around I fell in love with broadsword in general, i think it looks great, hits like a beast. All good.
The obvious choice seems to be /regen as I have a regen, I know how to power it and slot it and generally am very comfortable on having full end bar from level 4+
However I cannot seem to get past the seemingly glaring synergy between broadsword and SR.
1, Parry should stack beautifully with SR toggles/passive to make you extremely hard to hit.
2, Broadsword's main stated downfall is the attacks slow recovery speed. Quickness should aid this while hasten is cooling.
3, chopping stalkers in half because you can see them is cool. This isn't particulary a BS/ only effect but still, it's worth mentioning.
Now to the issues, BS is end heavy. Afaik SR isnt to end light either. 2 end heavy trees + no regeneration skills pre 20 = a hard ride :/ That worries me. What worries me more than the hard ride 1-20 due to poor end management is if stamina simply doesn't cut it and I still struggle post 20.
Thats my biggest fear, after playing a regen who was a joy to level probably due to the fact that he could grind like a badass without downtime going to someone who rests after each group is less than slightly undesirable.
so really, what i need to know is.
1, Just how bad is this combo for end drain, just how good is stamina..
2, will aid self + sr compare to the survivability of regen or surpass it? PvP/PvE Or will this just add to the End woes.
3, Am I laying too much faith in SR's quickness to overall improve broadswords slowness?
BS/SR, powerful concept? or destined to have less endurance than a preteen chainsmoker at a very high altitude ?
Thanks for reading my tired ramblings
