  1. Righto, back from Canada. Had an absolute blast boarding there, but unfortunately daily life was calling again!
    I can't manage an ST tonight, but will try to get one going sometime this week. What levels is everybody at, atm?

  3. We definetely bother with prestige, and we have a base with teleporters to all possible CoV zones. I'm sure you'll be able to get an invite soon enough

    The team event sounds awesome, even though I will be in Canada at the time. (I'm leaving upcoming saturday so I'll be totally AFK for a week ) Since the levels are still spread out below and above 30 I think, might I recommend doing the first respec SF? I think this is lvl 23-33 (or close to it), meaning everybody would be getting XP. And a respec ofcourse
  4. Mad Mud pretty much covered it all. We are indeed on Union, but level is no restriction at all. Feel free to roll a toon on Union and join us. At first traveling around may be a little bit cumbersome (although some of us have TP friend which helps, and mayhem travel temps are a godsend) but you'll be leveling at an insane pace and catch up with the rest soon enough.

  6. Feel free to join X. Join the global channel named 'Superteam' (without the 's), and make sure you add it to your chat tab on all your toons. That way you can tell when a team is going and you'll be able to join up.
    And make sure you follow the latest build (clicky)

    Unfortunately things are still a mess at home here, and it looks like I still can't log in to CoH/V for a while...
  7. Ugh I can't believe this, something happened at home causing me to be unable to play until now and for the coming days. I can't believe I'm missing double xp weekend, aaargh!
  8. Unfortunately I can't make it tonight, but hope to make up for it tomorrow. Max what level are you now? If you thought Superteaming was fun in the low levels, just wait for 22+. No AM downtime means the only tedious thing about STing is gone!
  9. For AVs we need Mayhems with 7 or 8 man teams. Would be a lot of fun, and very good xp

    I think skipping the patrons might work, but in all honesty the AoE Immobilise actually has some considerable uses. It makes AoE death even more effective. And the personal shield would also give us a very good bonus on top of maneuvers.

    Getting rid of mez effects is only possible if we get stimulant, and cast this on eachother. However, this is a 60 second duration targeted buff. The buffing would slow us down so much, it is pointless to get this.

    The only other way of avoiding mez effects is a high defence. This means putting 3 defense buff SOs in Maneuvers (this GREATLY increases our defense, if we all do it). Incidentally, the Defense armor from the Black Scorpion set would ALSO provide a major buff to personal defense (especially if slotted with SOs too), further decreasing incoming damage and mez effects. However, since it is a personal shield you only get this if you select the power(it will be worth it though).

    It was a great night indeed. I wanna make people aware of alpha strikes however: they can be (and are) lethal. I've seen many STers go down by an Alpha strike, but it's so simple to avoid this! When attacking a group, ESPECIALLY if you're the first person to aggro them, start by casting Radiation Infection (RI) on a mob in the middle of the spawn. We already have high defense, and RI decreases the mob accuracy by so much that hardly any attacks will hit anymore. After you cast RI, fire Lingering Radiation (LR) so the mobs cant move much. Then fire off Fire Ball and Rain of Fire.

    If you don't start with RI, chances are very high you get shot faster then you can be healed. (I see this happen a lot) If you don't use LR before using Rain of Fire, the mob will scatter and it will take longer to kill. Trust me, this tactic works
  10. Been looking at Patron Powers and they look largely worthless. The only Patron that had something interesting was Black Scorpion: the web grenade is an AoE immobilise that could help a LOT with AoE attack effectiveness. LR might slow our enemies, but I still notice they spread out a lot.

    On top of that, the Black Scorpion Armor is Defense based, which stacks nicely with our Maneuvers buff. It also provides defense against Smashing, Lethal and Energy damage, the three most common damage types in the game. All other patrons have fairly useless powers (to us anyways), IMO. Feel free to comment!

I agree about tp friend, there is certainly a use to 1 or 2 of us having it, but I won't put it in the build because more then 1 or 2 is simply a waste (Especially with the tp all temp mayhem power a lot of us have at the moment). If you DO take TP Friend, please drop Vengeance for it (Assault is better).
  13. Alright, we had an amazing night of superteaming. I went from lvl 23.5 to lvl 26.25, in a matter of 2.5 hours. I don't think I ever leveled that bit that fast
    By the end there was only 5 of us and we learned two things: Tsoo should be avoided (seriously), and AM really needs endurance slotting. In an 8 man team you can run 5 toggles no problem, but in a 5 man team you really run into endurance issues. I encourage everybody to slot AM for 3 endurance modification SOs (although clearly the recharge SOs have priority).

    As for enhancement slotting, the same still holds:

    Critical

    AM: 3 recharge

    Highly Important

    Maneuvers: 3 defense buffs
    Radiant Aura: 3 heals
    AM: 3 endurance buffs (not endurance reduction!!!)

    Nice to have

    Tactics: 3 ToHit buff
    Rain of Fire: 3 range buffs
    Blaze: 3 range buffs


    Please note that assault is more urgent then vengeance. Vengeance is a very nice buff, but situational. Assault may seem like it's not doing much, but this is a massive mistake. 8 stacked assaults will give us a massive damage bonus, and together with 8 stacked AMs we'll pretty much be at the damage cap. Vengeance will do this too, but assault is perma and vengeance is not. So make Assault your priority!
    Basically, by level 30 you should have all the 'optional' powers except. Please note I took out Choking Cloud. The rate at which we kill things it doesnt seem very usefull, and it certainly wont be usefull unless we all get it. I might put it back into the build later on, but for now the above powers are more critical.

    We are doing very well, and it seems to be time I start thinking about patron powers for us (our highest levels are still only 28, but with SOs and the double xp weekend coming up levels are going rapidly), and what to select in the 40s. Great job so far, folks

  19. Unfortunately couldn't make it tonight, however I have joyfull news: Double XP weekend is next week (not upcoming weekend but the weekend after). I'm still not sure how busy I'll be, but we should definetely get some heavy superteaming done. We can easily take a LOT of levels in those 3 days, so let's take advantage of it!

    Yes but you are level 50 and therefore have acces to SOs and PowerSink which combines nicely with Short Circuit. I'll definetely pick up the power, I just wont do so before lvl 22.

    Hey guys,

    I'm thinking of rolling an Elec/Elec blaster soon. I've already been down the path of ranged AoE damage dealer, plus Elecs AoE attacks aren't too impressive, so I wanna go for a single damage blapping/blaptroller sort of build.

    But I'm a bit in doubt about shortcircuit, because the end drain component is supposed to be quite impressive. If I get this at lowlvl (ie, without powersink or SOs), will it be of use to me? So, will it drain virtually all the end of the mobs I hit? Or will it just draw unwanted aggro and leave them only halfdrained? (in which case I'll pick it up later on)

    So, short circuit: good for end draining, or not powerfull enough?

  23. I agree with your points entirely, but in all honesty I can't really be bothered to get excited about it. If they thank me for stuff, I wave it off saying it's my job. People can call me whatever they want, and they can thank me for anything I do, I'll happily keep buffing and healing. It's my job
  24. Not entirely true. There is two possible situations: either the team is largely dead, or there are only a few dead. If most of the team is dead, with enemies standing on top of them, it's hospital time anyways because your rez recharge will take longer then it takes them to travel back. If only one teammate is down in the middle of an enemy spawn, then your team can easily engage and you can rez the teammate the moment the fight begins. (full health+end anyways)

    Ofcourse, if there is 5 blasters in a team and one tank, and the tank is the one that's died, this doesnt work so well. I certainly wont deny recall friend has it's uses for rezzing, and my empath does have it, but it certainly isn't required.
  25. We had some good teaming tonight. The team was a bit small, and only lasted for a little over an hour, but I still managed to do about 7 bars in that time. It was a good night
