Quote:Well, that was my point as to have it only a small buff, similar to Secondary Mutation or Mystic Fortune. If you wanted to follow that ideology, you'd want to say that everyone has to buy the mutant pack and have Secondary Mutation if you wanted to be as effective as someone. Or to have a certain amount of Vet Rewards for the small buff pet. It was more of an idea to suggest more individuality, and added fun. Not an overwhelming buff.Adding any form of buff to auras makes it so to be as effective as everyone else..
On another note, as to not come off as some sort of jerk, I do completely agree with you. I like that aspect of this game, that physical appearance has nothing to do with how much you can handle, size or gender. -
I do completely agree. It would be a minor update, I believe, to just add into the character costume creator. I'd say when you make the character, you could make it whatever voice/pitch you'd like, and then if you have the science pack, you could edit it per costume, in case your young boy turns into a burly lumberjack man xD

So, Issue 20.5 Ascend came out, and I used ten Astral Merits and bought a random aura, the Magnetic Aura. Looks pretty cool. And it got me thinking, what if the customization of a costume actually benefited your character? My first thought of course was having Smashing, Lethal, and Energy resistance from having Magnetic as my current aura. I thought it would be interesting to add small buffs, maybe the same percentages as things from Secondary Mutation of the Mutant Pack, and just add those to the variety of different auras. Thing's like certain types of resistance or defense, or say, if you're costume is using the Glowing aura, its a PBAoE -tohit debuff? ie. its Blinding the enemies. Just an idea I thought up, let me know what you all think.

Mandu, your icon was tripping me out for like 5minutes xD

Quote:Not sure if this was brought up, but the same problem happens with Martial Arts and Shields. When flying, Eagle's Claw performs the Crippling Axe Kick animation.Scrappers
[list][*]Broadsword and Shield Defense the Head Splitter power will no longer play the Air Superiority attack animation when flying with a shield readied.
And with the talk of the prompt for Mystic Fortune, wouldn't it just be easy to put an option in Options/General to Enable/Disable an "Auto-Decline"..? I don't see how that wouldn't put an end to the problem. They wouldn't get the buff if they didn't want it, and there wouldn't be an annoying prompt. And they can Disable it whenever they want in case they do want the buff again. -
My idea involves a fusion of your primary and secondary power sets.
The inspiration came from when I was thinking about Elec Armor Stalkers. And once I thought about it, Power Surge was the only "god mode" power that I could think of that this would work.
Assume that you have a weapon as your attacking set. Whether you be Tanker, Scrapper, Stalker, Brute, Blaster, or Dominator. When you activate Power Surge (Surge of Power), I was thinking of having the option, within the Costume Creator, to have your weapon became electrified as well. Basically, your body is one huge form of flowing electricity with it affect your weapon as well. So your weapon, (sword, gun, axe ect..) has its normal original shape, but is flowing electricity similar to your body.
Just an idea that I had. No idea if it has been brought up before, sorry if it has. I just think its something that, if the coding isn't too hard to do, that would be a fun little update to the Power Customization system. -
When you use Practiced Brawler, it looks like your character is dodging something, or tensing up, ya know? I was just thinking that it would be cool to be used as a "counter", or at least, once you use the power, at any time, it gives you some extra defense to all for 10 or so seconds, something like that.

So basically, you can still get PvP IOs off the rep-validation timer, but it just doesnt give you rep?
-
In the latest patch, the Devs said that they made it so you receive Reputation from kills in arena. I haven't gotten any, so I believe its bugged.
-
Basically what the subject is. The most recent patch fixed rewards in PvP, so you get influence, rep, prestige, pvp IOs ect when you get a kill in open PvP, and I believe that the patch notes also said that it was made so you get rep now in rated arena matches....but this seems to not be working. Any thoughts?

Agreed. That if it was made to be on option, then great, everyone's happy. But no one likes being forced into doing something. My original idea was just to make Origins actually do something in the game, something that would give people reason to choose it, other than the RP aspect.
-
Okay..well then it could be made that you don't HAVE to use that certain part of the origin...all Im saying is for the Devs to somehow add something else to the origin, so theres more behind choosing that certain one.
No need to get all upset and what not over a simple idea. -
Im sure we can all agree that when it comes to picking the origin of your character, not many people care which one it is, unless you're heavy RP and you put it in your description. The only thing origins ever have done are decide what enhancements you have to buy, give you a little ranged power at level one, and maybe mess with what missions you get from what contacts. My friend and I were discussing this, and we propose a new step to the origin of your character.
Nearly everyone in game has wanted power customization, to change the color of your attacks and such. This is kind of like that. When you choose your origin, it should affect on how exactly you use your powers and how they look.
For example: If you're a Blaster and you choose Technology, perhaps you can throw your fireblast with little flamethrowers attached to your wrist, much like Pyro in Xmen The Last Stand.(Stealin the idea aside) Or say you're a Controller and you choose Magic, maybe every other attack or so, the animation of the attack gives off a magical aura, similar to that of the new Magic Pack buffs.(Fortunes)
Hopefully you see my point. Having your specific origin change the way your powers are used and work would give players much more to think about when choosing they're origin. -
K, so Protector is having a raid later today, and i am a 49 Empath first time Hami...basically i just stand there with Heal Aura on auto, and Heal Other auto on the Lead tank, correct?

could someone plz make a fire/elec build? ty
