Out of interest, how many controllers were present?
-
Glad it was a blast guys, wish I could've made it. But I was feeling quite dead, Xan was at Uni and Empath's net connection wasn't working, so all in all it was a pretty good example of the universe conspiring against us.
I'm well up for a repeat of Squished at some point, as well as resurecting the Monday Night Fight Night! -
Bloody Bay - Nice enough zone, but the level is a tad low for my liking when it comes to PvP and there's a few nasty critters that can make the experience a pain (Agony Mages etc...).
Sirens Call - Busiest, so it scores points there, it's at an OK level and the Bounty system is great.
Warburg - My favourite, all powers bar APP's, nice map (if it a bit big at times), but massive combat on the beach is great fun.
RV - Too much PvE. That's really all I've got to say on the matter. -

Outside of Overload you will end up with approximately:
Smashing - 26.0%
Lethal - 26.0%
Energy - 35.4%
Negative - 22.4%
Fire - 29.5%
Cold - 29.5%
Toxic - 0%
Psi - 0%
Plus anything else you garner from the power pools.

And to think EA had lower Def than now originally. -
Stone/Stone is good for PvE (especially if you've a Kin) simply because of Granite Armour. It's a bit squishy at times leading to Granite, but Granite itself is the saving grace of the set, along with Earth's Embrace and to a lesser degree, Rooted. But you will move veeeery slowly.
Stone/Elec probably has MUCH better potential in PvP, has +Recovery powers and a self +spd +recharge buff, but no self heal. -
Duels are for MMO's if the enviroment is tailored to it.
Zones aren't. The Arena, however, is a fine place to hone you 1v1 skills. -
Dunno if I can make it (FFS!), I'm running a pretty hardcore fever right now.
And this is the best PvP to come along in a long while, too. Sucks.
Anyway, this post be for leting people know if I keel over dead tomorrow and can't make it/post that I really can't make it. -
GOD DAMNIT XANTHUS, RARRR!
Yeah, so, why don't we do our final, because Xan's moving to Uni so it'll be a while before he's settled with the internet up for Union's. -

kiss has a point tho, as ive said countless times b4 "safe zones" aren't as they're name suggests...
yet ANOTHER thing dev's feel they should neglect in order to play poker......
[/ QUOTE ]
They are in Warburg.
Or rather, where to an extent. They were abused, hence the hero one being scaled back. -
It's a bit broken at the moment as far as I'm concerned. Fear will stop you dead if A) You're not moving or B) You stop moving.
If you get feared while moving, and don't stop, you're good. -
If you can be bothered to drop large amounts of Inf on constantly getting Inspirations, then it's your choice.
I've been known to duck out and grab a tray of Break Free's in long engagements, nothing wrong with it imo. -

50 gets my vote too. I find the EPP's and PPP's cover a much needed gap in any AT.
[/ QUOTE ]
And thats the problem with lvl 50, they cover all the gaps. The normal AT weakness is somewhat removed, a squishie is no longer squishie. Buffs become somewhat overpowered with powerboost. But hey its up to you guys.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not the AT weakness that is the issue with me, it's the fact that I think APP's and PPP's even out the powersets themselves. I know there's a few less builds I'd want at 40 than I would at 50, 50 gives builds a bit more room to maneuver. -
I'd enter if it was at 50.
I7's been out for long enough to have level 50 villains pretty available, so I don't see an issue in that sense. PvP is just best at 50 for in my opinion.
Concept is sound, so I wish you luck. -
I'm guessing the AT's where chosen because all sets from those AT's do A) get Mez protection in their primary/secondary and B) as a general rule (can) have rather high HP.
Oh, and for the record, AM doesn't work like Unyielding or Acro, it only lowers the duration of the Mez. -
You can do a raid with two empaths TOTAL backing the tank up. =p

stop saying the same non sense
hold don't make a blaster unable to do what is AT was builded. it paralyze it.
what i mean and that you seem to fake to not understand is that there is no power that get rid of one inherent aptitude of a blaster or a scrapper and so on.
[/ QUOTE ]
You do know that a Corruptor basically nullifies Defiance with it's own inherent? A good Corrupter will make Defiance a nail in the coffin for the Blaster each and every time.
As for Stalker's being broken-vs-+Perception, mine's not. Hide gives me a good +Def, and I can always pop a purple if needed.
Stalkers were not designed to scrap, standing still and wondering why you just got pounded in to the ground by a team with +Perc is nothing new and is WAI. Just keep moving, ninja style and you'll be a lot better off. -
[ QUOTE ]
I can see them replacing it with hold. A few times in game people I have teamed with have said fear will be dropped from fire in time. My opinion is that hold will replace it throughout the game.
-fly dosent make sense to me most controler types are very very similar only illusion is very different. Diversity is going out the window.
[/ QUOTE ]
Fire Control has Fear now? :\ -
[ QUOTE ]
Shush you, can't you see we are trying to get a buff here
To be perfectly honest, I feel largely redundant when teaming with the missus on her stalker as my brute - mobs are dead before I get a chance to get build up fury, so I'm left to using build up, energy transfer and total focus, and playing as a heavy stalker. (as I'm /EA). The only time I'm really needed is for dual spawn mobs, or for acting as a meatshield against EB/AVs.
Stalkers are easy to play badly, I guess, which causes the perception problems of their use to teams.
[/ QUOTE ]
See, when I'm on my EM/EA in an SG team (IE; one that I trust) I scamper off and either nuke the boss, or just jump to the end and kills mobs back towards the start so we meet in the middle.
Or I get crazy buffs and scrap everything. Stalkers can be a bit lacklustre in PvE a lot of the time as they don't tend to lend much to the team if you've a good brute or two, but they're not broken. -
I don't really mind the low HP on my Stalker, infact, I think the AT is mostly fine as it is.
It's more peoples opinions about the AT than the AT itself. -

Xanthus said he, more than likely, won't be able to make it on that night.
[/ QUOTE ]
can we have confirmation please.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can confirm that I almost certainly won't be able to make it on that night, since it's my first night at uni.
[/ QUOTE ]
You have a replacement or shall i remove the team ?
[/ QUOTE ]
Remove the team.
