  1. If I want to forget I've got it open, MSN. If I want music, WMP. Occasionally I'll fire up a browser to research something I need in-game, but most of the time only CoX.

    Cosmetic items

One of your suggestions already exists in the massively oversized ;cellphone. It looks awful, but it's something.
  3. Song, my Peacebringer. The name grew out of her original Scrapper name of Sparrowsong. I was surprised when I got either of them. I got the names from her voice when I wrote her character, which was fluted and musical.

Rumour is my main Brute, her name coming from rumours spread around university in Steel that she was from the Rogue Isles, having begun life as an AR/Dev corruptor named Cammie Flage (yes, she had camouflage), who I'd deleted twelve levels in.
  4. That's the minority (at least, I bloody well hope it is) being greedy. Inf-mining drives prices up. Roll on Issue 13.

@OP, I see only one thing wrong with the present CH: Lack of confirmation prompt when inputting a sale or purchase price.

Too often have I seen people (myself included) spamming my global channels with expletive-laiden cries of frustration and dismay, having practically given away a valuable recipe or piece of salvage, or having paid millions for something worth a few tens of thousands.
  5. If not a numeric, make it a percentile instead of the bar.
  6. People would bother, after all, they bother farming the same easily-killable mobs in agricultural missions, even if just doing the arcs for said farming missions and getting mish rewards for bonus xp gives better rewards.

I would like to see the ability to merge SG's, but it would be open to exploit.

    Edit: Poor spelling.
  7. Buh... guh... *draws axe and wades into the fray* BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!

Also: Yellows and purples and maybe a red or three. Yes.

    Harbinger OOC

I'm withdrawing from this plot, due to overcommittal to other plots. Good luck, and have fun.
  9. I'm happiest about the Invulnerability changes and Kheldian changes. The rest are nice, especially War Mace (one of my Brute's will be very happy).

    Two thumbs WAY way up!
  10. Having as I have three Brutes, two under construction and one needing completion slotting-wise, I would say with the same bias as the good Colonel that Brutes are a great solo-play character. However, all the Villain Archetypes (Soldiers notwithstanding) are largely geared/balanced for solo play, but also do very well in groups (Soldiers in my experience do far better in groups than solo). As a Brute, you will find yourself chasing your Fury bar after a while, and it lends itself well to anyone with experience of 'Scrapper-lock', in that it actually rewards you for getting into the red haze. It can mean your team struggles to keep up, but that's rare.

I've tried Stalkers many times, but always found the lifespan somewhat lacking compared to Brutes. Your methods may vary, but Stalkers aren't my first (or even last) choice.

I've had a few Corruptors, and found them to be pretty fun, and often surprising at first. One thought to oneself 'Uh-oh, I'm going to faceplant' when the healthbar began flashing, only to ennihilate the enemy group with timely Scourging, leaving me cackling madly with great satisfaction.

I've tried Dominators from time to time, but being the hitting-fiend that I am, I've never let them develope. I do know someone who really knows the Archetype very well, and can do things with their Dom that I've seen even great Controllers struggle to do, such as Holding an Arch-Villain or Giant Monster for long periods.

I used to have a Bots/Bubbles Mastermind, and managed to hit level 24 when he lived on Defiant. But I've since moved to Union, and have deleted my Defiant characters. I did really enjoy having a horde of underlings to do my bidding, and found the micro-management to be an interesting challenge. I know someone with a level fifty 'minder', and he runs his Archetype very well indeed, even if he can get steamrolled from time to time. Mostly, the minions at your command can give you the chance to run like stink when the brown-adrenaline hits the occillating air-movement device.

    Harbinger OOC

I have three magica-orientated characters who could work, one less than the other two.

Deadland is a former walking-corpse himself, though since the cyborg pack came out I gave him a full conversion (thanks to kind donation from Hearth and Heart, due to the horrific stench that followed him around). He has no real understanding of the powers he has, but is a handy node of mystic energies.

Ebon Chalice is a newish char, a Dark/Dark tank who is a watcher-type character who I've yet to fully roleplay and develope. Of the two heroes, I'd sooner use him.

If you're letting villains play as well, then I have Sorrow's Kiss, an Arachnos Widow who has a sideline in a magic trinket and bookshop in Sharkhead Island. She has not a drop of actual power, but likes reading the tomes and things she stocks.
  12. My group and I came up with this one last night during a long discussion about a cyborg blaster with psionic powers:

    Team Synergy

My regular villain group steamroll's well. Usually two Brutes(DB/WP + SS/Invuln), two Stalkers (Claws/SR + DB/SR), Ice/Fire Dom, Dark Corr and the occasional Bots/...something Mastermind. Utter map-gank. Often, any mixture of these AT's works exceptionally well.
  14. ((I want to extend a big thankyou to everyone who came along to the evening. It wouldn't have been the same without you, and a great amount of fun was had by everyone in The Corporation because of it. We're planning some other stuff to include the rest of the villain population in the future, so keep an eye out for more.

Screenies were taken by our group's ad-hoc 'screentographer' and when they've been pestered enough I'll find a place for them here.

Once again, thankyou very much indeed to everyone who participated!))

Blast rocks St. Martial, dozens injured, three dead.

In the early hours of this morning around three a.m., an explosion destroyed a supplies warehouse near to the Arachnos base in St. Martial. Witnesses say the shockwave blew out windows for three miles around ground zero, the fireball turning night into day for many seconds. Debris has been found this morning as far away as Cap Au Diable. Arachnos drones recorded fleeting images of a tall, platinum-haired female of unknown identity dressed in black armour, leaving the scene on foot.

The warehouse, which carried supplies of food and medicines to the less-fortunate inhabitants of the Isles at cost, had been operating legitimately in the area for over a decade. The owner, one Anthony Braithewaite, said to our reporter this morning that he '(is) Shocked and dismayed that such a brutal and uncaring act of barbarity would be commited upon the innocent lives struggling to live on the isle's poorest communities.' Mr Braithewaite went on to say that 'The cost of the lost food and medicines would be met from his own pocket, to ensure that as few people as possible would miss out on their desperately needed supplies.'

Among the dead were three night-patrolmen, all fine upstanding citizens and loyal Reclusian subjects. Other injuries came from blast damage and shock-trauma, as well as some crushing wounds from falling debris.

Arachnos had nothing to say about this incident.
  16. I solved the identity crisis for the blackwand and nemesis staff by putting self destruct into a deformable tray, seperate from my other temps.

    Griefer!

The Hami Raid was changed because it wasn't a raid, it was a sequence. People would pile in, then orders would be given, certain things would happen at certain times, then everyone would rush in at the end and [Brawl] Hami once, wander off and get their reward when it died, after which would come mass-gank of the polyps. Now, it's so damned hard nobody bothers as there are far easier ways to earn a Synthetic Hami-O (Statesman TF, Lord Recluse SF) that don't involve seven hours of your time and hitting the debt cap.
  18. ((Yes Stiki, just join the open Corp Events OOC and we'll handle team invites for base entry from there.))
  19. ^Exactly. I wasn't launching into flame-warfare. I asked a question.
  20. Shouldn't that be 'Surrender, evil scum!' instead Alpha? These are heroes, after all.

A low level co-op starting zone has been suggested before, and was very popular then and still is.
  21. @OP I too was disappointed by this lack. I'd also held out hopes for some monstrous Cyborg feet for this too, but the thigh option does seem to have been missed unnecessarily.
  22. Good luck and happy hunting Rockjaw, it's been a pleasure running with you.

Pity I can't come to the movie and gaming and everything, but Mrs Evil's seeing friends in Londinium over the weekend and I'm staying home to watch our kids.

Hope it's an absolute blast. Btw RJ, my global handles are in my sig, so feel free (Do it!) to add me to your friend lists in CoX so we can game/rp sometime.

Edit: The above offer of friending extends to any other of the culled NCBrightoners.
  23. So, they're the Borg, then?

I have but one question about the self-destruct. Is it interruptable?
