Could we please be able to merge the s...

No, I'm not saying servers. Honest!

Supergroups. We have coalitions already, but what with the increase in SG member size now, it'd be kind of nice if you were able to have the leaders of 2 SG's or so merge their group together to under one name. Members, prestige and badges getting transfered to just one group name.

Say SG A has around 2 million prestige, 5 SG badges and half the beacons, and 50 members.

SG B has around 1 and a half million prestige, 7 SG badges, three quaters of the beacons and 50 members.

After the Merger, the two become either SG A or SG B, with 3 and a half million prestige, 100 members, nearly all of the beacon and 7 SG badges.

What with the base price changes coming soon, I'd love to be able to merge the Unity Vigil and New Vigilants into one group to pool resources more effectively to expand a base.

Failing that, how about the option to link with an SG and share prestige?

(Also, while talking about SG's... promotions and demotions while the character is offline, please?)

Hmmm, interesting.
I aprove of this suggestion.
Not that I would use it myself...
But being able to do so would be great

Do you realise how hard it is to quieten a lynch mob zortel?

As for the suggestion, it's a good suggestion, I like it.

The option to consolidate several SG’s might also help breath new life in to servers that are less active.

N.B. what is wrong with lynch mobs... you just have to buy stock in a pitchfork, torch, and rope company.

It just....works. Afaik, theres no exploits you could get here. After all, the Prestige has been earned by someone anyway. -shrug- Its late, if anyone can see a flaw, stick it up.

Theoretically you could make loads of different SGs on different characters, get the first fifteen people to join (you get 20000 prestige or something per member, right?) then merge one with the other. Rinse and repeat, you get loads of prestige for free.

But that'd take ages and you'd need to find the people/make the alts, so most people wouldn't bother I'd imagine.

People would bother, after all, they bother farming the same easily-killable mobs in agricultural missions, even if just doing the arcs for said farming missions and getting mish rewards for bonus xp gives better rewards.

I would like to see the ability to merge SG's, but it would be open to exploit.

Edit: Poor spelling.

But its first 15 people in a SG...

So if you merged lots you'd still only have a single 1st XV all the extra 20ks would be lost on merge. You'd have to mention it on the merge dialogue but I don't think it could be exploited that way. Based on if you fill your SG up to fifteen and then build the base then drop down below 15 members you end up with negative prestige.

Be good if you could merge SGs.

But you can use the same people - and it wouldn't even take 20 minutes to do 1 round using 2 accounts (character on account #1 forms SG, then log in 15 characters on 2nd account inviting each).

I'd imagine that you could happily look at accounting for this by letting SGs merge and they get the total of merged prestige minus any duplicated 'first 15 members intro bonus'.

so something like merged prestige = Sum(SG prestige) - intro_bonus * max((min(population(SG#1),15) + min(population(SG#2),15)-15),0)

No, you can't, as Lost Ninja pointed out. That particular 'exploit' is enormously easy to code against and just wouldn't happen. What you would get is people complaining they had lost several hundred thousand Prestige on the merger because they didn't read the merge dialogue properly. (Of course, two smaller SGs merging would lose nothing, which is as it should be.)

I see a flaw

Person X leads SG A

Person Y leads SG B

X & Y do not know/like each other.

X goes on holiday for a month and is unable to log into the game - auto-demote kicks in and X is no longer the leader.

Person Z becomes Leader of SG A and merges with SG B

X comes back and hey presto, their SG is not the one they created/managed or worked so hard for for 3 years etc, it's something entirely different.

It's not an obvious issue but I'd hate if it happened to me without my consent.

The principal is fine but some changes would need to be made.

That, unfortunately, is a fact that you have to guard against anyway. Thats not the devs, or the system, thats *people*.
Maybe promote a friend of yours to be a backup Commander while your on holiday. -shrug-

If you, as the leader of your own SG, have invited and promoted someone in your SG to a point that they would become leader under that given situation, and you don't trust them enough not to merge untill you come back, you shouldn't really be leader of an SG.

Except if you are the only one of the top rank and get auto demoted it will be the first person to log in after that that gets promoted irrespective of their previous rank.
Of course its not exactly difficult to make sure you log on in the period before it auto demotes and not many people can take that long a holiday.
