Was doing BAF earlier and we all had some pretty bad lag going on. It allowed us to target and damage the escapees before they were out. And in some cases the npcs would rubber band back to their spawn points making the escape part way too easy. Not that we would have failed with all the damage we had but I can easily see this being cake walk on the part after that when some of the npcs did not even fight back.

which lore pet does the most damage? I am thinking of getting the seers for the fort buffs but on my characters that are already pretty tough the extra damage might come in handy. Any of them do aoe?

Personally I have always wonder why the durations of ally buffs are so short. Every other MMO the buffs are at least 10 minutes long. As it stands now on force field characters and others like that with short buffs it pretty much makes using endurance for attacking really hard to come by. I pretty much respec out of all but the tier 1 and the tier 9 attacks for my defenders that have it. Its just not worth being caught without enough end to bubble everyone. Making the buffs 30 to 60 minutes long with the ability to right click to cancel a buff would be a huge QoL feature for the buffing ATs. There is absolutely no reason why stuff thats ally only has to have such retardedly short duration. Its not like these buffs are helping you directly.

Here is my build. I will be changing it up once I get the pvp IO to take out one of the travel powersets.

The colors arently really the issue for me, I just hate the animations. Its the same old recyled crap we already have. Also there is no options for a psi or toxic nuke. I think at the very least those 2 need to be interface and judgement options.
-
Quiet you!!!! Do not give them anymore bad ideas. I am already hating this +4 crap and would hate to see the mobs being +10. I would probably not even pursue the other slots and give up on the whole system if they ever pulled something like this.
-
Whats the point of doing it if your not going to go all the way? There will be this ever nagging feeling to complete this. So you pretty much have to go to tier 4.
-
I have had to take a break from this for 2 reasons. One is I am tired of it and two I have to finish the science project from hell in my physics class. But even if I did not have anything else to do I dont think I would still run it. They should have released a different trial for each slot and make the very rares a little less rare. I dont see myself getting 30+ trials done just to have a chance at a tier 4. From what I hear its supposed to be easier than getting a tier 4 alpha but it really isnt it just takes less time since you can keep running it versus the 1 notice per week thing. I would have to say my biggest gripe is how it seems to take more xp to unlock the judgement side than it does the interface side. All slots should be the same xp to be fair. Or they could at least let you pick which one you want your xp to go towards. Some slots wont get much use so its kind of unfair to force it on you.
-
I think the LFG should just be renamed Incarnate trials hardcore mode. I have never used the LFG where it did not do just the minimum and dumped you into the trial. It effectively makes it 10 times harder on you since the numbers are set so low. It should be raised considerably if they want pick to have a realistic chance of beating these trials. I find the preforming teams method to be the best way to do this.
-
Are actual drivers installed for the mouse, not just the generic ones? I know windows 7/vista handels drivers alot differently than xp did. I know for some games I had to actually install the drivers to get the full functionality back on my mouse. Also when you say upgrade did you do it as upgrade or full clean install?
-
On my main I havent been able to complete any of the trials yet but some how I got an uncommon incarnate reward. How exactly did this happen? I thought the only rewards were the merits and the reward table at the end. Is there something else I am missing here?
-
Nah I would settle for allowing the raid leader to see who has what temp power that way you can make sure things go according to plan otherwise its kick.
-
Quote:I totally agree here. What I see happening is this, if people dont get their **** together after this weekend they probably wont get added for trials. One small screw up can easily cost us the trial. I am already making a long lists of globals to not invite because they are being retarded in the league. What I dont get is why is it so hard to check your temp powers for grenades and such? Every time I have done lamda on live servers at least 5 minutes get wasted on waiting on the last few folks to use the grenades or pass them to the leaders. Its to the point where I say screw it lets just bust open the thing and get more grenades since the tards arent listening.Sounds like a great system. But the one problem we've been running into consistently is what can politely be described as "human error." There always seems to be at least on person on the acid team who swears they have no acid temp powers but basically they haven't looked, didn't listen, may still be learning, have a strange sense of humor or are simply not the right height to ride the loopy ride at the county fair.
Some of those people may know who they are reading this post. If you're still just learning, that's cool. But it's those last two categories and their ilk that longterm bother me. I'd hate for these trials to become more exclusive in terms of the good leaders on our server putting together leagues and refusing to invite player X or Y because they just don't listen. In something like a mothership raid or even a TF, the Leroy Jenkinses of the world can at least come along for the ride. Their debt is their own doing. But failed trials thanks to one Leroy? Ugh.
Again, no design can totally eliminate this. I realize that. It's just been our biggest consistent challenge. -
Quote:Its essentially like your naked or playing a blaster for the most part. All the defense in the world isnt going to do squat against this kind of thing. Its kind of why I was against this kind of content in the first place. There are ways of making the game harder without having the npc to cheat they just choose not do so.Haven't tried this yet but if that is the case, well, as other have noted it's a pretty poor approach by the devs. There was some discussion about how simply letting the mobs hit you more often impacts non-defense sets equally or worse than defense ones, simply because defense sets have a lot of room to slot more defense bonuses. Shield, SR, and Ea aren't the only armor sets that rely on defense bonuses for extra and often needed survivability.
-
Yes thats what kind of happened. We wiped on the double av fight and tried to come back but couldnt even get close.
-
To put it in better perspective, I was killed with empathy buffs, tray of purples and those cold shields while I was soft capped. It makes me wonder if something is just bugged because I dont remember having this hard of a time when we ran it on the test server.
-
I wanted to know just how are you guys dealing with this. Its seems like the mobs have way better accuracy or the attacks are just auto hit. I know I used a full tray of purples and still got owned by the robot mobs. Defense levels were well above 100%, and they hit me as if I were naked. This is really making me regret getting this character to 50 and soft capping him because its useless against these mobs. This scrapper is soft cap ma/sr with tough and medicine pool.
-
quite honestly I dont even know if I could put my ninjas thru the new stuff. They already get slaughtered with their paper thin defense. I come out better just being petless, thats saying alot coming from me since I see petless masterminds as an abomination. Ninjas wont live long enough to do hardly any damage against +4s. I think they should have given ninjas like extreme aoe defense so they live longer on teams for this kind of thing.
-
Quote:ok question on this, how can you even damage him when he is enraged? It always does 0 damage when he is enraged. Is there something I am missing here? Also the following ways to get Astral merits/bonuses:
So up to four more Astral Merits.
- Destroy a Weapons Cache and an Incubation Pod within 2 seconds of each other during the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial.
- Acquire all 10 Pacification Grenades during the Interior stage
- Complete the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial having acquired 10 Pacification Grenades but using none of them.
- Acquire all 10 Molecular Acids during the Interior stage.
- Complete the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial having acquired 10 Molecular Acids but using none of them.
- Acquire all 20 Acids and Grenades during the Interior stage.
- Complete the Lambda Sector Incarnate Trial having acquired 10 Pacification Grenades and 10 Molecular Acids but using none of them.
-
I know they follow the same path but this doesnt always work due to the server timing and such. Besides if you dont 1 shot them you still have to follow them to kill them. Again like I said stalkers are useless here.
-
As much as I love stalkers it would not help us much. If the mobs are moving the AS is useless. The activation time alone allows for the mobs to get so far away from them. As for as the destructable items, any other AT that deals good damage would do it just as easy if not easier since they wont get 1 shotted.
-
I did multiple runs of BAF last night and we could not get past the part with the escapees. When I did this on the beta server it was signifcantly easier due to everyone having the incarnate nukes already. We tried camping the exits, we tried camping the spawn points, we tried sending runners after them and still we fail each time. Its like its the longest 5 minutes in the game for some reason. Any strategies for this part would be great. I hope it doesnt come down to requiring 3 bubblers with force bubble just to do this.

Quote:The same thing can be said about jobs in the real world. I know some school systems make certain programs harder not just because they want better students but so they can pass fewer students allowing fewer to enter the job market just so the salary ranges stay at a certain level. I found this out when my wife recently entered the nursing program at her school.Perhaps their freakishly common appearance in almost all useful recipes? Oh, and the fact that they've been that price since they were fixed that way YEARS ago by what again? Oh yes, BM Borkers. The BM Borkers have won that market because they adamantly refuse to budge on the asking price. I've creeper bid, I've let a toon sit on bids of 1k increments up to the 50k mark, JUST to see if I could get one that cheap. I can't. Why? Because the sellers at 150k already have a lot of bids out there to buy up anyone trying to undercut them. It's gotten so one sided on some items, that there really IS no other option than to try your luck on a roll, do some low level content, or find SOME OTHER means to acquire one. But the BM? Pffft, not happenin, not for less than 150k per.
In fact, actually, why doesn't everyone just take a break and read up on DeBeers and why diamonds are so expensive. Quick summary? They only release so many to the market a year, just to keep the prices high. They are literally sitting on hundreds of tons of diamonds, just sittin on them, why? To make sure they control BOTH supply and demand. And that's a helluva gig lemme tellya. -
Quote:Out of all my 50s I probably just have under a billion inf. I dont see myself ever breaking 1 billion at least any time soon (grumbles at incarnate conversion costs). Playing the game so much that money flows like water just isnt normal to me thats what I am saying. Yes I know is pretend money but thats not the point. I am not a hardcore farmer and I have a life outside of the game. One of the most critical flaws in Ryu's thinking is the core assumption that everyone else shares his priorities. He's got a strong personal objection to paying what he considers "too much" money for stuff on the market, so he does other stuff instead. He completely cannot see that other people can earn enough money so fast that what he considers "too much" is just not that scary to them, and they'd rather fork out 100+M than run 20 tip and two alignment missions.
I get what you mean that time is money and that some people choose to do it in other ways. For example in real life I refuse to shop at my local walmart at all possible costs. Simply because the lines are way too long. Everytime I have ever gone there the lines are like its black friday or something even if its after midnight. I choose to shop else where because that store is managed badly in terms of checking out customers. While say target may be slightly more expensive I save time at the expense of money but at the sametime not allowing walmart to benefit from treating their customers badly.
How I could apply this to coh? Lets say I team with someone and a recipe drops that I want and they link it in chat. If we had a market system thats not double blind and the only ones for sell are from someone you know is a manipulator, I would sooner pay slightly more for the recipe that just dropped than from someone who is just buying to resell because the player on the team is actually doing something to generate that recipe. I hope that makes it a bit more clear. Its not so much the flipping but the getting something for nothing aspect of it. -
Quote:Thats kind of 2 way street there. If people arent putting the items on the market to sell generated by merits they arent buying certain items either. While it isnt adding to the supply its definately taking away from the demand which why we should have no non-purple/pvp recipes above 40 million. I think the issue is not enough people know about A-merits if they did prices would be alot lower as a result.Hey Ryu, it was good doing the TinMage TF with you last week. But I have to say, you may be looking at all this the wrong way. If you don't want to add to the problem (you see) of the market, then DESTROYING SUPPLY, isn't the best way to go about fighting it.
I know, you don't believe Supply/Demand is relevant as an argument since you think things like A-Merits should negate the supply issue. The problem is, you assume everyone is going to use those merits to flood the market. More than likely, most people use it to avoid the market without placing those items there. This means supply doesn't really change. Supply/Demand is still the issue for the prices you see.
Low bids and patience is all anyone needs to navigate the market if they want to pinch pennies.
I choose to give away recipes to those who truely need them or just destroy recipe simply because I do not see another way of doing this withouth adding to the market greed we have now. I will not ever put stuff on the market to sell just so another person can make free inf for doing nothing and not add value to the product. If another valid solution can be suggested please let me know.
