Quote:Thanks, Rod, I completely missed that. Now I haz a sad.

Quote:You won't need to 6-slot everything, trust me.i used the char designer thing and came to the conclusion i wont be able to max out each skill with 6 slots. if i want to remove slots to put on other skills how would i go about doing that?
I'd just play and read the wiki a bit more (and ask, ask, ask here, of course!) to get a feel for what you like and don't like, and what works for your particular Archetype.
Welcome to the game -- enjoy the ride! -

No problem, WarMage -- you use the forums to send a PM (Private Message). Probably Zwillinger or Avatea would be the best people to start with. Head to your "Private Messages" area (look in the upper-right corner of your screen for a link right under your name) and go from there. They're like e-mails, basically.
Best of luck!
P.S. There are no more Beta "invites" -- if you're a VIP (which you are), you have access to Beta. -

Wayne Barlowe is a longtime fantasy/sci-fi illustrator.
OP, I bought my copy of Barlowe's Guide to Extraterrestrials back in 1979 when it was published, and it's been on my bookshelf ever since. I don't see any obvious similarities to his artwork and the new DA critters. -
I've never found them to be useful, and simply ignore them. The ability to simply click on the channel name and get a listing as Hopeling pointed out has always been more efficient to me (and of course the channels which I use the most often have binds or I've given them their own chat tabs).

Quote:Why does it have to be "easy"? Can't it be a satisfyingly long-term and challenging goal?Cause its not so easy for most of us to have 1300 badges....
Because to me, that's what makes having a large percentage of the available badges fun and interesting, not that they were practically handed to me on a silver platter... -
I've started dropping one from my standard slotting (three slots rather than the 4 I used to do on just about all my toons) and putting 2 generic End Mod IOs, each boosted by +5 (which gets VERY close to the same effect of 3 generic non-shifted End Mod IOs at level 50), and the good ol' Performance Shifter proc.
So far I've been SUPER happy with this strategy, and it gives me somewhere to use all those Enhancement Boosters I've picked up from the Tier 9 consumable slots. -
It doesn't answer all the OP's questions (I don't think you get anything when sending to someone who is ignoring you, but that's only a guess on my part), but the wiki does answer one or two: http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Ignore.

Yeah, it's entirely probable that it was stated in a ustream, and I didn't catch it, especially since multiple people agree. I just like to have the source when possible, but I guess the Beta reality is pretty convincing at this point.

Quote:Must be due to the massive time differences between dimensions. >.>There is also a (I believe known) bug where transferring toons between servers can result in incorrect (and usually massive amounts of extra) hours being accumulated. I had a character on Infinity with 300 hours and switched him to Virtue. A week later I checked and he had 4,000+ hours.

Quote:Those other things come at the END of your billing cycle by design. In practice, there can and has been some wonkiness and unpredictability experienced by some players.I just purchased a retail copy of Going Rogue, so I could access the incarnate/pretorian portions of the game, based on conversations with other players I was expecting to see 400 paragon points, 1 server transfer, some sort of reward merit and the one month of VIP access. So far all I have gotten is the VIP Access and Server Transfer. I am not sure if I will be getting the other items.
EDIT: Rajani may be right about the Paragon Points, but this is how it's phrased on the wiki page: "400 Paragon Points per month (or 550 per month, with Rewards Tier 8), awarded monthly on the player's renewal date..."
Quote:I am not sure, but it seems like they might have changed the way they award the Paragon Points. Just a few weeks back you were able to purchase Invention License with Reward Merits so you could play with IO Sets Build as a Free Account, this is no longer available. -
Quote:I would be happy with the devs' stated intent, but nobody can point to an actual example that this is so. We'll just have to see what happens (hopefully what's on Beta now).Realistically, NOTHING can prove it will be implemented like that. Even if we could quote a source, it would only reveal the devs 'intentions' - same as what's on beta.
-
Same here. If I recall correctly, the devs indicated they would be back at some point (although plans, obviously, can change), and I see no reason they'd want to abandon a fairly popular concept entirely.
-
Quote:Yes, I'm aware of that, but that hardly proves it will be implemented like that. (It doesn't mean it won't either, of course, and I hope it is.)Apparently it's already on beta like that. Log in and check for yourself.
EDIT: After seeing the interface, I have to admit it looks like the way they'd actually implement it. I assume that is the way they're going to go now (but I still don't recall them coming out and saying so at any point after the Pummit). -

Yes, that's a good point -- the devs were VERY clear about there being a large amount of lead-time between when we are informed the rotation is occurring, and when it actually takes place. So at least people can assess how close they will be at the last possible time and save up to buy Paragon Points accordingly if that's an option for them.
-
Quote:That's NOT the way it was explained at the Pummit at all. If that's how they're handling it now, though, that's great -- it should make a lot of people happy. But the way Posi explained it then was that they would give plenty of notice, and then swap Fire and Ice Armor in, and Celestial out. I hope they do it that way, if for no other reason than to extend the time when some people will have access to Celestial this go-round (although I'm confident it will be available again somehow in the not-so-distant future).EDIT: Of course. I can find the videos from the day they talked about it (turns out it was November 23), but they cut off before the chat Q&A, so I can't link to anything that confirms what I'm saying they said. But I swear they said it!
Either way, yes, I'd be very, very surprised if Celestial is still available ten months from now. -
They will not (unless they've been rotated back IN at that time, which I doubt). The devs told us straight up at the Pummit that around February-ish the Celestial pieces will rotate out, replaced by the Fire and Ice Armor set (which, IMHO, is godawful ugly).

Quote:Read it again -- he said he used them ON TEST over and over. So he was duping them to Test toons and using them, when PvP was occurring on Test back in the day.Ah, why would you use those?! You're wasting resources, there's no way to get more. People like just having things to have them, and to some it's worth quite a lot.

It made its debut with I20 (although the name appears to have been changed or not implemented exactly as detailed in the patch notes):
League
There is a Focus tab within the UI as well This is used for setting League members as a Focus.
Right Click any member of the league and select "Place on Focus Tab"
The Focus tab contains ONLY characters you have put there.
This is useful for having a quick way to monitor specific characters' health or targeting. -
Quote:No problem -- welcome to the game, and keep asking those questions anytime!Ah, thanks. That explains it. Both of you thanks for the replies.
(And StarGeek is right, I STRONGLY encourage you to stay away from the wikia site, and if you see something on the REAL wiki that you think is outdated, feel free to update it or bring it to someone's attention!)
